A six-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a school bus in Vaughan on Wednesday morning. Brandon Rowe gets reaction from neighbours in the area.
THAT AGE, PARENTS STILL ACCOMPANIED BY PARENTS, TO PROTECT THEM, NOT LETTING THEMSELVES TO GO TO BUS STOP. MY HEART S BROKEN . HE WAS TOO YOUNG TO DIE.
considering it's the drivers profession to safely pick up and drop off children, yes you do expect caution because they know what they are dealing with. Would you let your child ride with this same bus driver?
Was this a case of someone on a bike path crossing a thoroughfare without due care? I have seen this many times. Sad. So vague on the particulars. I see tape around the bike path and a bus.
A woman in Hamilton was hit on a bike. She was going northbound on the southbound side of the road and was hit by a northbound car turning left!! Obviously we can't see behind us on the opposite side of the road ffs! And these are the bike lanes the city builds. By law all bikes are supposed to be following traffic not going against traffic.
Im so sorry to the family. Buses cant see little ones on bikes they just aren't tall enough. Sounds like a very tragic accident. I wont let my kids ride bikes on sidewalks where theres lots off stops unless im in front of them walking and i stop them make them get off look both ways and check behind for people turning right or left on the opposite street!! Cars do not pay attention to bikes and shouldn't really have to with all this new traffic from increased population we have so fast.
I"m very sorry for the family...but no one teaches kids how to cross the roads anymore. We have a ton of speed bumps and stop signs....some of them less than 60 yds apart....and the speed has dropped to 30 KMH. Kids don't have to look anymore....they just expect cars to stop for them. They don't realize that if you're right in front of a bus it can't stop
@@MrsLovely-gp7im when we were young we were taught not to step in front of any bus. We were small enough that the bus driver couldn't see us. And if we got into a tangle with a bus, we were going to come off the worse for it. Cheers anyways!
Accidents happen. There's no evidence the bus driver was at fault. But blaming drivers for every tragedy is what happens with 21st Century emotionalism.
@@ALuimes your naive. Of course no evidence, people don't tend to incriminate themselves. No other factors so who's in control of the vehicle??????????

This is a tradegy. The bus driver could have been following all the rules and this still could have happened.

What makes you think the parent wasn't there!!??? The bus was STOPPED!!! The parent WAS there!
How about we wait for the facts...very sad for all involved

My heart goes out to the family. My sincere condolences.
School bus drivers are worse and worse every year. I saw so many of them texting while driving.
Just like most drivers ?
How do you know the driver was at fault?

The guy said "when my family and I ride our bikes we're very careful" busses can't see little guys on bikes.

Because he ran in the middle of the road it wasn’t stopped
So sad little soul rest in peace❤they will figure this out our police always do when there's a child involved
I guess the cops think adults are chopped liver so don't bother.
Am I the only one who sees every school bus driver driving aggressively while on their phones with their air buds on.

Bottom of the barrel bus drivers. Our government won’t spend OUR money on our children.
That’s why you homeschool to much in schools now days

I was sure that all school buses are equipped with dash cams...
I drive for Stock and we don’t have dash cams

Some bus drivers drive really fast. Horrible.
