I have a Navy Trench Coat because camel & tan wash me out and black is too dark with my pale skin & silver hair. A combination i love in Spring is mint green and navy. I wear my navy trousers with a pastel minty green sweater, or blouse, or my sage green blazer. I pull out all my pinks each Spring and think not just rose, but blush pink, magenta or coraly pink look awesome with my navy skirts and trousers. Yay Navy for Spring! Good video😊
Yes! I was thinking that the various shades of pink would complement navy, as would orange, yellow, beige, gold, silver, cream, varying shades of blue, and even purple. Oh, & turquoise & seafoam green too! Navy truly is a neutral colour!😊
SAME! I have platinum/silver hair and as I'm aging (and I'm grateful to be lucky to be aging!), black can look too harsh sometimes. Love navy, wish it were easier to find true, deep navy clothing and shoes and handbags!

I have the hardest time finding navy yet it’s a color I want to have as my basic everyday color. I guess that’s why I gravitate towards dark jeans. I think a fuchsia or bright pink that fits your complexion, works beautiful with navy as well. My navy professional staple wear was a blazer, slacks, shift dress, pencil shirt and cardigan.
I find that my navy maxi skirt is a workhorse in the summer for me as it goes so well with brighter colours that I like to wear in the summer and both really pop against my skin tone. ( I am light neutral leaning olive like you are and have darker hair and eyes) I like to pair it with rust and neutrals as well as I think those can play into makeup too! I think navy is its own power colour for most of us as its so versatile.

Black to me feels casual bc it's a little rock and roll which is the opposite of work and also bc it's so ubiquitous which makes it common and therefore feel less formal. I think navy is less common overall so it feels more special and therefore more formal imo.

Maybe it's cause I am Italian...but I never considered navy too much of a formal colour! I wear it a lot, with black, grey and of course DENIM! I don't wear well warm tones, so navy is my substitute for camel, thinking of trench coats, blazers, scarves. I think it's more the silhouette that makes an outfit look formal than the color. Like today I am wearing blue jeans, a white linen shirt, a chunky cotton navy sweater and navy gazelle shoes. Super casual!
Navy is the core dark neutral of my wardrobe instead of black, which is why the denim skirt trend you mentioned in your recent fad video is something that works so well for me 😁 but my style is also very different than yours. Mine is more like “cowgirl mom who hikes in the PNW” 😂

Navy is summer also. Sporty and naval style is a classic. Navy is also classic "auntystyle", old lady, combined with white in stripes or edges, accessories, twocoloured shoes etc for summer, always looking crisp and cool. Around here people, women, wear more black than navy to work, it has even been difficult finding navy basics, but I think the pendulum is going back, many realise that black is not the best for a lot of paler people, navy or a dark brown, or green is a lot nicer to many skintones.

In the UK it is difficult to find clothes in a dark blue that is rich and vibrant. Navy here tends to be a dull almost black that is less flattering. One of my favourite outfits was inspired by Jackie O: white jeans and a plain dark blue t-shirt - a classic and great as we go towards summer

Very helpful. Navy means spring is here to me! One observation I have is that finding navy shoes can be quite a challenge at times. Why is that, does anyone know. It seems that in some years, none can be found.
Navy is my very very favorite anchor/basics color. My only problem is that it's still sometimes difficult to find navy shoes. Sure, I can wear black shoes, but I prefer navy with a navy dress or with a navy pant/blazer outfit. Also tough to find navy handbags! (if anyone knows good sources, please share!)
Navy was huge 5-7 years ago, so I would look into pre owned sellers. I also think that nude/cognac/burgundy accessories look amazing with navy clothes.

You definitely have a point. For me a navy top is OK with black bottoms but I hate navy bottoms with black shoes. I just think black shoes kills the navy of the bottoms, brown shoes create more visual interest and contrasts better

I really LOVE the Chloe shirts/blouses from Sezane & it's been on my bucket list for a while but it's quite a shame us tall women (5'11'' / 180cm) are overlooked by fashion brands in general. I went to the big Sezane store here in Paris last week and the sleeves on this shirt don't even come down to my wrists. What a disappointment to have left empty-handed.

I have embraced tonal dressing so that it looks intentional. As long as everything is in proportion, the colors don’t need to be match exactly
