This is the only video on youtube of a DIY dropdown fridge slide that was actually well made. The video also clearly shows how it operates and what you are doing. Good job mate, thanks for the good content
You’re a weapon mate, that looks a million bucks! I’ve got the same problem with my Dune 4wd 95lt fridge, to big for any you can buy. Cheers brother 🍻👏🇦🇺
This is awesome. Have you got some cut-out details (plans) that you can share, please. I have the same fridge and looking to build my own drop down slide. Appreciate the help l. Pat
Mate. Great job. I finished my slide 12 months ago for the same friedge. Your wright there is no slide for that size friedge. I used 2 gas struts to help out which added complications. I also had to put the handle at the front witch put more load on the slides even with the struts helping. Now I'm starting to work on a elec lift slide for the same friedge. 🙄 sucker for torment as you know. 😅😂. I mounted myn in the back of GU patrol. They do fit with feeler gages & Vaseline. 😂😂 10 out of 10.
Ahh sweet! I have the same fridge (oztrail 80l) but I have a taller tray. Can I confirm with you, the drop height is determined by the rear clearance at full extension?
I just installed a pin at the front of the fridge a few days after this video , locking slide can also be used , but unsure if the come at the length needed for this

I have just bought the same fridge and keen to make a drop down slide. Just wondering if you made measurements or plans of the build at all?
Sorry mate no plans or measurements, the base was 5mm bigger each side of the base , and i went with 1014mm slides from dunn&watson
@@tassieunleashed thanks mate thats at least somewhere for me to start from
Genius
Didn't look like u had locking draw slides? Do you have any movement when cornering or when using on uneven ground?
I just installed a pin at the front of the fridge a few days after this video , locking slide can also be used , but unsure if the come at the length needed for this
Would have the plans / drawings so I can laser mines in Brazil too?

Did you use a plan for the drop down hinge or did you design it yourself??
No plans Chris, I googled for a few pics and just made it up as I went along
