Had to subscribe to Tassie Unleashed awesome, watching from Cradle Mountain🏔 Tasmania Australia🇦🇺 Cheers 🍻 KC 🇦🇺🦘🪃🏔🍻🍻👌🦘🇦🇺 Edit Subscribers #716 😊
7:40 bit late but 1kg = 9.81newtons. It’s just kg * 9.81 to figure out how many newtons
Awesome video...as for cable barge/ car ferry's, there's 2 in Port Macquarie NSW and pretty sure there's a few more in Australia...
Great video you e put together mate, thanks again for all of you're efforts to make last week so great. Cheers, John
Good job 👍
The only sturdy one on you tube. Is it to cheeky to ask for a copy of the plans.😬
I taught my spoodle to speak. But i don't know how to teach a stop talking command 😂
i did no buy this " no bark " device , as he is a little yappie dog all the time so hopefully this helps
I get to start tig next week in class. Im stoked. Im only doing stick rn.
IS THAT A SUPRAAAAAAAAA
whats that u want to be run though hahahahahahahahaah
Ahh sweet! I have the same fridge (oztrail 80l) but I have a taller tray. Can I confirm with you, the drop height is determined by the rear clearance at full extension?
Didn't look like u had locking draw slides? Do you have any movement when cornering or when using on uneven ground?
I just installed a pin at the front of the fridge a few days after this video , locking slide can also be used , but unsure if the come at the length needed for this
Bro Awesome video thanks! I would also love a cut plan as I have the 80l Oztrail. But Im sure I'll nut it out using this. Legend!
looking good there, it is always good to hear the first fire up of a motor you have put together.
you got that right !
Genial tío, eres la hostia más cojonuda!!! Felicitaciones por tu chamba muy chida tu troca!!!
8k everythings a rort now😅 NZ is just as bad
i just got quoted between8-12k to re wire the whole truck HAHAHA
guna be a beast mate
i cant wait to get it out on the road
Awesome work guys can't wait to see it running what a beast
cheers mate , yes the boring chit chat stuff is now done , so all the exciting parts to see it all come together and getting it on the road
You're putting an ic7 in a van????
@@CAIDMASTEROFPYRO 100% 😬
That looks pretty good. Did you have to lay down a gloss black first and let that fully dry before spraying the chrome?
@misssummersalt it did turn out ok , it's no mirror finish but done the job Only 2k base layer paint will work I got some made up into a can from my local paint shop, sprayed it and left for 7 days before applying the chrome
My Late father was part way fitting a 3.8 lt in Willys FC, unfortunately never completed
@geoffrigby3314 that would be an awesome conversion. Did you have any interest on finishing it off ??
@@tassieunleashed No unfortunately project was sold after he passed , also had a 262 chev V6 set up in Willys at one stage , both with auto boxes , was a Jeep / Willy’s fanatic, multiple Wagoneers , J 3000 , gladiators, all with Holden V8s and automatic
Mate it’s guna be a fun thing when your done just keep solving the problems as they appear us Taswiegens never quit great vid cheers
cheers cobba, yes i can not wait to turn that key and drop it into drive
@@tassieunleashed hell yeah mate it’s guna be a great toy for getting out bush and camping just subd keen to see it good luck have fun building toys is awesome
Hi. I have a mate that had the 3.8 Commodore motor with T400R installed in a 4WD L300. A local mechanic in Wollongong did the conversion. It would have been the Marks adaptor. The combo worked really well both on and off road except for one problem. Overheating. The standard radiator wasn’t getting enough airflow and I helped the mate install an additional radiator horizontally further back along the chassis. It needed its own electric fan but solved the overheating. Keep up the good work and ignore the negative comments. Cheers.
It might have been the T700R? The one with the 0.7 4th gear.
cheers mate i did get rid of the standard radiator and bought a 3core alloy one with thermo fan which is bigger than standard ,i'll give this ago and hope there are no heating issues , but also checking in with the engineer on a cab lift to add more airflow around the motor, going to get headers and water pipes ceramic coated to try disperse heat in other directions, much appreciate the comment
@@tassieunleashed sounds like you are on top of things. Good luck with the build.
@@Colin1342 I sure do hope so 🤣
Awesome mate, caint wait until it's done an dusted, awesome work
not to long now mate , just had its first crank of the motor today 30/8/24
Just found your channel, keen to see how your build progress, thanks for sharing the build.
Thanks mate 👍 , update on the build coming up in the next week
Mad truck
Cool build , watching with interest
Awesome, caint wait until its finished awesome build

Back in the mid-90s I saw a few mid-80s Toyota 4x4 trucks that had Buick 3.8 V-6 engine swaps. The 3.8 V-6 was a major upgrade from the 22R.
Just keep plodding away mate. Every bolt and bracket is a step closer to your big national adventure. Yes, the video is a bit boring but full marks for attempting the conversion and being a RUclips guru. 😊
cheers mate , i so cant wait for the day to click it into gear and drive away
Use vr vs power steering pump. Remote res its normally on the radiotor on a ecotec and they bolt onto the buick the same other then that maybe even get a rear hump sump for one save ya modifying the one of your engine people make kits to convert buicks into just about everything even if you rear mount rad under tray some good fans and use some stainless piping to some rubber joiners so many ways to do the whole thing and make it work everything will require some modifications but lucky with the old buicks not many of the computers required vats deleted from ecu so wiring it up is simple alls you need is 12v to ecu and fuel pump wiring and then you can use your standard ignition key run it back to the ecu to the start wire basically and it should go without to much troubles
thanks for the info mate , i'll get onto looking for a rear hump, another reason i chose the s1 motor as it has no bcm , save me a lot of wiring/ecu issues
With your power steering pump you can remove it and run a shorter belt if you not running power steering that will sort out your problem for clearance
Thanks , i have been told to get a later model power steering pump that has a remote reservoir, apparently it bolts straight up to the old mounts
@@tassieunleashed ok great hopefully that works great build mate 👍👍
boring video 👎
video's explaining every step are usually boring , but thanks for the view and comment , everything helps the channel
Not boring once you have a van and start thinking how to upgrade it! Make sure to keep an eye out on this channel. The result will not be boring to anyone
Ahaha more like @oldc#%t317. Very informative video thanks 👍
Great work mate! Keep chipping away at it! I’m sure you’ll get all the little things sorted out!
cheers mate , yes i spoke to the right ppl after the video for all the next steps
What a epic project this will be awesome when it's finished.
thanks ! i can not wait for the first turn of the key
What a beast!! Good luck with it all mate, it'll be worth all the hard work when your cruisin the country
Thanks mate , it's coming along nicely 👌
@tassieunleashed ken oath, colour looks trick too 😎
What a great project! Not many people go through this amount of effort to create something better. And of the few people that been through an engine swap before not many would have made videos to show how many details are involved. Keep on the good work. And think of how many heads this thing will turn once you got it all sorted and take off.
Thanks Martin , yes i sure do hope it turns a few heads once its finished, I'm just glad i have done this all by myself as the things i have learnt along the way will help in the future while out travelling
No rocket science doing these swaps.. did my first v6 conversion into a Nissan in 1992.. but some are tight fits. Have installed them into Volvo, Toyota, a bmw, one into a forklift, Great conversion into lots of previous 4cyl powered vehicles 👍🏻
I just finished this same conversion
Got any pics to show me on insta - tassieunleashed 👍
Hell yea
Hello mate, appreciate you doing the video. Would you mind measuring the internal dimensions? Bushwakka only seem to quote external dimensions. You seem like a tall bloke, I’m 187 cm, would you mind commenting on how well you fit/how you’d go sharing it with someone else? Thanks again
the outside case is pretty thin, im same height as you and fit in pretty well , id say the internal measurements or mattress size is 200x130cm BUT there is no real clearance between the mattress and the lid so trying to store pillows and bed covers is a nightmare as it doesn't seal properly, also the mattress is hard as a rock, i might do a review shortly
This looks sick
Are you gonna do the coolant front pipe mod? Mines got a stupid pipe over the rocker cover from the back to rad.
i will look into this one thanks mate
🤮🤮
yeah right clown
BARRA THE WORLD🤙

20 years ago 1000hp in a non race or heavily sponsored car was almost unheard of. Seems like alot of home garage guys are getting it now days. Do u think the numbers are real?
100% real mate , it done 1108hp / 826kw at around 40psi Check out the video on my channel
We had these Buick engines in our early 90s Commodores and are being used today in our wingless sprintcars and many other classes fukn awesome engine Nice ,🇦🇺
yes well known to be a reliable engine
@@tassieunleashed yeah I have an Ecotec in my 96 Commodore big improvement but the old Buick is still a great engine.
Very interesting. This will definitely be a one of a kind...
yes i sure do hope so too
@@tassieunleashed Hi, which car is the panel from? Have you decided how to lay the air ducts?
@@bondarnvdash is from a 2008 mitsubishi express l300 I have 3d printed a connector from the old AC unit to the new ducts
What seats u going with? I test fitted some cheap impreza and realized itl never work without chopping the bases up too much. Found some budget recaros which will mount a little high with all the bumps on the mounting area but should work with some square tube. U still keen on the tilt cab and do you have a date in mind u wanna do the big trip
Just going to get the original ones retrimmed to match the interior, Yes i have ordered the tilt parts and that should be happening very shortly 2025 i want to make a start and head up to the cape but i also want the van at least 80$ compete when delica the world come to tassie
@@tassieunleashedI hate the stock seats maybe you could get some extra foam? Backs abit sensitive thesedays. Mines a skidpig with 4g63t and Max ecu trying to get it to skidpad
@Michael-lg4wz yes definitely going to get all new foam as well That's my next project as I have a 4g63t going into my work van
Get in to it
slowly getting there
Why ? Why the hell not…. Good luck
