Funnily enough, this used to be the complete opposite advice earlier on in the game. Back in op01 to op03 era, when people played "Gum-Gum Jet Pistol" in the red decks, people used to attach dons onto their characters prior to attacking in order to play around the trigger of GGJP.
This had some really good tips and ways to keep the concepts in my head. Thank you, this is by far my weakest part of the game, and where I often manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with miss-managing DON!! on swings lol.

Love the series even as someone who goes to regionals I still love to watch just to reinforce the basics
Also, this is probably self explanatory, but you should almost NEVER attach Don to something until you are ready to swing with it.
