Some people reffer to "Life cheesy" and the "freeze" decks as the two faces of Tempo decks of one piece, with the freeze being the more control oriented and the cheesy being the most aggro/beatdown explosive variants
Great content, loving the serie! I'd just like to contest the "control" archtype, i think what we have now it not really control, but more like a midrange in other games. Probably only green could be seen as Control, maybe the upcoming Blackbear or Boa 👀
Hi, I have been a player for almost a year now but I am still lacking some basic understanding such as the fact you should take the first swing rather than use a card to block it. I am loving these videos of yours. I was also lacking the understanding of win conditions. Thank you for your videos!
13:36 you said the first subgroup of control decks struggle to finish off opponents without a board. Does that include Boa? I feel like Perfume Femur kinda mitigates that issue
This was a great video. It put into words a lot of concepts I've been thinking about when building decks. I think it also highlights why R/P Law was so over-tuned. Would you categorise that deck as aggro or control? Maybe the only leader that was simultaneously efficient at both playstyles.
So you think there needs to be a way to attack the opponent's trash (by bottom decking cards, freezing/locking trash draw for one turn, or otherwise removing it from play) like in other TCG games?
@@DragonKing3787 There are a handful of black cards where the player can bottom deck their own trash cards for effects. There are 3 cards that do what I'm talking about, where the player can bottom deck their opponent's trash cards. They are Viola, Brook, and Rob Lucci, and they are all Black, too. I think other colours need a way to attack trash, especially if Moria isn't going to be banned.
This is very solid in-depth video for the One Piece game plan archetypes. I play Katakuri and was thinking of getting Blue Doffy, but I might go with a control-related Deck to have variety. Also quick question: What game plan archetype would Yellow Big Mom and the upcoming Blue Buggy belong to?
Stall them. If they are at 0 life, they have to trash cards every single turn to use leader ability. Depending on your build, and color scheme, it can be much easier or harder. Usually rush helps too. Red is amazing into him with diable jambe and huge damage potential.
i hate how good the intro was......it was sooo good
joshua is just in a run to be the best OPTCG youtuber ngl
Bro u are slowly becoming the leader in one piece TCG content! Keep it up
I'm with the guy who said the intro was great.

cool video and cool shirt W taste
It's still really weird that one piece only has the Aggro and Control corners of the Aggro-Control-Stun triangle
As a reiju player, pudding and ichiji feel like the definition of a win conditions lmao

There are cards that do that already. They just aren't used

mannnnn this intro
What is Carrot wincon style?
Yugioh is out of control rn with 1 card starters and even some decks are basically OTK that’s why I switched to One Piece
Would RG Law be fast wide or Other?
Yeah for sure. Full weenie board by like turn 3
@@matttran7161 but you normaly don't swing with your weenies! They are more of a setup for your shambles and etc. I would put him in Other.
@LopaRB yeah I can see it going either way. You don't but you can swing your weenies later at 10 don. But you're still swinging lots with shambles.
Bro can you make a video on how to beat black/yellow luffy i rlly like your other matchup videos!
