Long time watcher 1st time comment.. . That truck is mean looking. I've been looking at the summit for.a while now, after seeing those rc4wd wheels I gotta get 1 now. Bad to the bone.
You got it for a good price considering what came with it. I bought my summit in 2012 and it had the newer style non-Bluetooth controller so yours might be older. One thing you can do so you don’t buy another controller is buy the 6533 receiver and Bluetooth link and bind it to your TQi controller you have now, it will hold up to 30 models. Most of the time I have to turn on the RC first then the remote for it to figure out which RC I need. Just an idea 💡 congratulations on your new to you summit.
One of the lights is shorted out causing the esc to shut down or the reciver circuit board for that output is shorted for the lighting issue. Always wanted a summit their pretty awesome! Nice trucks man!
I think you’re spot on…I’ve figured out since making this video that the issue is with the esc…I put the original Evx-2 esc from my now brushless summit in to see if the lights would work..and they did so I decided to leave that esc in there..so everything works now
Congrats! Looks amazing!! buy a new TQI 5 channel receiver and program Your "newer" model summit controller. The TQI controllers can be programmed to work with i think 30 cars!!!
Do you know if there is any aftermarket parts to make those wheels work well or do they get the stock model I’m looking to get that same set up even better do you have any part numbers for the wheels and tires
@@nikolus24 really? Well if I hold the button I can switch it into NiMH mode where I get the tone and then the light turns red….so I’m pretty confident that it has low voltage cut off
There’s quite a bit of a difference actually…this and the E Revo share nearly identical chassis’s…there 1/8 even though Traxxas sells them as 1/10…they got two speed transmission, lockers..basically everything is different than a slash 4x4 lol 😂
I’m laughing to myself as I’m going through your videos. Nolan I have done the same exact thing. And I hate to admit it but I love my stock so much I want them tires and room so bad. I’m jealous. Did you find out for sure what kind of rims ?
Brand new Summit for $470? I wish! We pay nearly $1,000 brand new for a Summit in Australia. The E-Revo is just over $1,000 brand new and I just saw the UDR a few days ago for near $1,500 brand new.
@@RCKnockout Yeah currency exchange sucks between our countries. I've known about those trucks for a good 10 years and have never seen them dip very much in price. Kinda sucks we have to pay up to double what you would in the States.
here in England we can get a summit for £350,also if you are getting e-revos for $1000 dollars in Australia then you're getting ripped off, I can get an e-revo shipped to the UK from Australia for £600 total (that's including a dual lipo charger and four 2s lipo batteries )
Which rc would I sell you?? I’d probably part with the EXB…it’s a nightmare though and will most likely cause you tons of problems…so it’s awesome if that’s what you’re looking for? Lol 😂…it’s super fun when it works too!!

Thank you! Yeah I feel like a got a pretty decent deal..I just gotta figure out the controller issue…thanks for the recommendations by the way 👍😉
Good explanation why this one is worth the money
Yep thanks!

Thanks! 😉
Nice crib Noland
Thanks!

I don’t know what the part numbers are….I just know they’re 40 series Rc4wd Mud Slingers….and they’re mounted on 1/8 Axial Beadlock wheels
I wish they made it belted those tires is sick
Yeah I don’t think they’re meant for high speed lol
Another one!!! nice!!
Thanks man! 👍😎
Also the animos servo is waterproof
Thanks for letting me know! 😉
Hey man looking that over thats also a non low voltage cut off evx2 so be careful to not over discharge your lipos! I had the same one in mine.
Love the content! AlwayS looking out for your videos
@@nikolus24 thanks man!
Are you sure about that? I think the esc light is green which i believe means the low voltage cutoff is on….
@@RCKnockout I was told by traxxas all low voltage cut off versions state low voltage detection above the set button on the esc

@@RCKnockout Yep🙂
Hey where you get them swamper tires from ?
I bought it second hand….they were already on there……you can probably find them on EBay though
Nice work I absolutely love the summit you need to check out some of the stuff I've been doing with it
Nice! I’ll definitely have to check it out! 👍
I'm on a mission to prove how good the summit is I'll be following your new one very closely
@@rcuintheshed6981 I appreciate it! Best of luck with your Traxxas Summit Quest!!
Also what are the specs for those tires
Not sure what the specs are….

Yeah they are pretty sweet!! Yeah they’re Axial Beadlock wheels
Use one remote for both summits

does 20 kg servos r good I got em on my Traxxas tmaxx for steering, better than stock
***Those
Honestly I’m not sure…they turn these big tires pretty well
