I randomly bought this CD back in the day because I was bored with everything and liked the cover. I didn't have any idea what was on the CD. One of the best random decisions I've made in my life.
Niiice! Massive Attack are on the highest echelon! I had the same with 'the in sound from way out'... Not going to say who by because it's totally misleading. If you haven't.... Check that shit 😎
Without this album, the second half of the 90's would not have been the same. The grunge was long gone, and this was the SHIT. I bought bigger spearker just because of this album.
I think MA had only moderate chart success with this on release in 98, but it has been used a lot in media since then. I remember hearing it all the time when I lived in the UK.
The whole album this is the opening track of ,Mezzanine, is not an album you listen to so much as an album you experience. you just allow yourself to be taken for a ride and feel. Simply brilliant art.
Menacing opening track from what was their darkest album at the time. Powerful and brilliant. All their Horace Andy tracks are highlights, in a career of highlights. Try Live With Me and Atlas Air too. Shit, try anything and everything!

The opener to one of the greatest albums of all time.
Mezzanine is a classic album. A masterpiece.
It really is! A benchmark of quality production throughout! masterclass 😎
That sinister groove, that punishing beat...
More than just a song. This is art.
This song is on my workout playlist. In other words, I hear it rarely these days. Haha. It gets me fired up, though.
I knew you would love this. Massive Attack are gods, from the same city as Portishead.
THE BASS
Saw them here in Manchester UK... Atmospheric, dark and magical performance!! Trip hop will always be my first love 🔥

Speakers =) Stereo image of this is out of this world =)
Good point about 2nd half of the 90s. Grunge dominated first half, then this stuff
I mainly listen to rock but Mezzanine was undoubtedly the best album of the decade.
Same here, and agreed!
I like the wide scope of your music selections. Massive Attack is one of my guilty late night listening pleasures.....
Why "guilty"? I don't get it.
Horace Andy, his voice is very unique
I remember listening to this in '99 in my friend's car with his sub-woofers. He wasn't usually into decent music but at least he liked this.

It played a pivotal role in Guy Ritchie's Snatch film, starring Brad Pitt.

Massive Attack are OG trip hop.
Love this track - Massive Attack great work guy - hits the nail on the head .
Brilliant track, amazing album, unparalleled band
Triphop is life.
MASSIVE ATTACK - Group Four
First heard this on the Pi soundtrack. That whole soundtrack is fire and the movie greatness too.
Clint Mansell did that score. Great score and soundtrack.
Hey. Fancy listening to faithless insomnia? If you've not already. I think that the forever faithless is my favourite version though.
One of the best beat drops in music.
@@pitmatix1457 oh yep.
Unfinished Sympathy!!
This bass did vibrate my door, so yeah.
Please react to Massive Attack's "Unfinished Sympathy".
Menacing opening track from what was their darkest album at the time. Powerful and brilliant. All their Horace Andy tracks are highlights, in a career of highlights. Try Live With Me and Atlas Air too. Shit, try anything and everything!
♥
Guess I don' have to suggest this one now.
One of my favorite songs of all time. Made for shrooms.
and E :D
Check tricky overcome one of the best trip hop tracks they little bit better then massive attack but it is just me
Sufjan Stevens just released a new single called "My Rajneesh", can you please react to it? It's very interesting and beautiful.
So you found the truth but still not Tre's contact?
Not the sick as fuck remix that was on the single. "A is for Apple"
Here's the one. This remix stalks you, sneaks up, and then drops the beat on your head.
