I’ve been absolutely loving your content recently. You have such a realistic logical view on what happened during this election and putting emotions aside to just analyze what happened. I just wanna give you a huge shoutout for it. Thank you so much for the great content!
I appreciate the litany of content you've made since the election. Its like a steam kettle just boiling until a few choice words told you how you were "supposed" to act. No one likes being spoken down to, just as much as concession of ideas.
If a family member told me they can’t come to thanksgiving because they’re emotional about the election 😂😂😂they’d never be able to come around cuz we are flaming them every moment from that moment on still love em though
As a white man who voted for trump. I am not racist and would never deminish someone else dream, and what they want to be or who they are. But because i voted a certain way, im labeled as the racist. Its like you have to prove your not racist without people even knowing you or before they even meet you. Wth kind of shit is that
Personally as a white man I feel the Democratic party literally offers us nothing. If you look deep enough into the party you'll see that we are responsible for all the bad eg racism, slavery, the patriarchy, women not having abortion rights up to the day of childbirth. Everything bad because the white man, but never mention anything good the white man does. As a white man I didn't do any of that stuff I'm just trying to outlive my dogs cuz I don't trust these people with them if I pass.
Hey man that’s a problem, but it goes both ways at this point. Groups have been stereotyped for years. Some more than others. The difference is the media coverage and demographic affected. Maybe now we’ll have to fix the problem
@JimmyDaTruth I just know that as a white man, it seems like I'm racist until proven otherwise. Ive never pushed hate, and I get hated on. My black friends think I'm racist now because I voted trump. When before, when we hung out, I was never racist. Who is the problem here? Not just saying black people, but people in general no matter their race
@ in this instance we are the problem. Your feelings are valid. But hurt people hurt. I’m not passing blame but trying to help you understand. How hard it is for someone that’s been stereotyped to realize when they’re doing it to someone else. You shouldn’t be treated this way but this issue has been around so long it’ll take all parties involved to fix it
@JimmyDaTruth ive experienced it from all angles. Its typically the white soccer moms, but I have been called racist and other things by other races also. Its just sad. I want everyone to be happy and live their life the way they want to. So long as it don't hurt anybody else
Well, why that lady with moral issues did not say a word about Bill Clinton stomping for Harris? Or are we going to pretend about the moral upstanding of that dude?
Common sense show, I like both sides of the argument. Too bad there isn't more common sense in the country, Republican or Democrat, we need more moderates on both sides!
Agree about the parents, starts at home but teachers need to teach not preach their own personal politics, sexual preferences or how they "feel" about how kids should be raised and just teach stuff to make kids to be productive parts of society

I think I get what you're trying to say, but criticism based on math falls apart pretty quickly. For example, "2 parties will obviously divide us" sounds reasonable, but would you rather have just one party? Because 1 party doesn't sound fair or representative of human perspective. More parties or a higher mathematical number obviously means more division in a literal sense so what are we to make of that?
You could have no parties where everyone was independent, or you could have multiple parties, but you do not want a one-party system. When that happens, it is the beginning of tyranny. That's what China has, and the party's authority is absolute. Could you imagine Democrats or Republicans not having an opposing side to contest some of their most extreme policies? It would be a nightmare that no one could do anything about.
They act like we don’t have checks and balances in this country. They act like he’s Joffrey from Game Of Thrones. Family is going to separate because of voting. Y’all are absolutely going bat ish.

Funny, I didn't watch the whole clip at the time, but was going to note that Whoopi Goldberg came up with an "a priori" argument about the gay bashing uncle being disrespectful to her fictional gay child (to her credit, I understand she was just coming up with an example to empathize with people who do want to avoid family). So she had to make up this fictional story, and in the story, it is taken for granted that the problems over the holidays will be caused by the Republican, because they're clearly the troublemakers. (Then Maher joked about us not knowing the term a priori.) Anyway, my wife and I are polar opposites on politics. It has never caused problems for us. I'm not sure why we would be special in that regard, but we both respect each other enough for political discussions to not become some judgment on the other person's character. Also, maybe it's because neither of us associate our identity as people with our politics, so we're able to talk about these things without feeling attacked when we disagree. I think the truth about at least half the people saying they don't want to see their family over the holidays is that many of them don't want to feel like "losers", as they identify with their politics. After all, they just "lost" the election. When the subject inevitably comes up, it will make them feel worse about themselves for being on the "losing" side.
However knowing that one aligns one's self with democratic policy of Solomon and Gomorrah, genocide and immigrants 1st. Insanity!. Of course I'm staying home.
