I don't beleive this. You might have depression, but every day is not a bad day. You don't feel in the dumps every day, and you don't hate life every day. Some days are good days, some days people make you happy, they make you smile, and you can have a good time with them. That is Joy. You might have depression, but you can also have joy. It all depends on your frame of mind and what you are thinking. Change the way you think. REPEAT THAT!
Steve is my dad not blood but this man's words have gave me a path in life that no father has in my life . I never met him but I as a 50 year old man has cried more listening to his words .I pray to God to meet this man I call a father and a friend I never met . I would cry like a baby . Thank you father for your heart and words you supply all the people that are your family. Love you very much .
Yes, blood doesn't make love always! I hope you get to meet him. I'm happy to have a Father but Father God was always there. As Steve said Role models are important. You can be that for men coming behind you!
Well said, Mr. Brian. Appreciate the unashamed authenticity, respect and love in it. Gettin so a man can't say that the sky's blue in comments sections without someone gettin all offended, disrespectful and derogatory. Takes a certain level of courage to put it out there knowin the risk. Appreciate ye sir.
That's why most of Fatherless people become successful in life. Because they Got to learn it the Hard way. But you still can connect with people who have a very challenging story like Steve Harvey. They'll always have much to teach.
Probably that's damn true,it's thirteen years since he live me alone, that the tough hard lesson that he didn't taught me,that oneday I will stay the rest of my life without him,RIP Dad.
The way he talks and understands things seem very much alike his father. The man may haven't been in Steve's life a lot till he was 16 (as he said), but to me it seems like he worked his ass off to pass on his qualities that he thinks a man should have to his son.
"Manhood ain't money, manhood is a series of ACTIONS" Wow, if that is not the truth I don't know what is!! This is such a touching and needed segment. I love how those guys were ready and willing to mentor the teenage boy. Steve you are an amazing person, father, and leader.
Broderick is as wise as his dad!!!! Watching for the second time!!! Respect to all men out there finding best ways to be you as much as we women strive for too
Hope he finds a mentor--maybe a good Uncle, a grandfather, or from outside family like a school professional (guidance counselor or teacher) or competent bosses/employer. Also, develop friendships with fellow students who have strong solid, values-centered family. As a young man, listen and follow right principles of life.
That youngest one, Daniel, you can see he’s struggling in his eyes. Life has hardened him. Proud of him for seeking what he needs which shows he already on the right path.

Powerful! All these men who one way or another figured it out. Hardly, any shows be gathering boys/men to have these conversations! Thank you Steve Harvey. Thank you
You've got that right CD. Current culture has kicked men to the curb. I has slurred, defamed, disowned and denigrated us. Too many women are of the notion that they can do it all as a single parent. They can't. They are women, not men. Children need and want a father in their lives. This vid is a great service to society and men. Thank you Steve.
All absent fathers did not walk out. My late husband died. I tried to place my son around good men, including those in his family. I do understand that still, I cannot replace men lessons from good men. He is grown now and a good man
My husband passed away when my son was 6 (he's the baby) and he missed all that. It hit him hard as a teenager well starting at 12. Stayed in trouble. I was so scared for him the stuff he was doing. He's not 19 now and I'm so incredibly proud of him. He's a good father, goes to school and works. He completely cut all the bad stuff. He learned the power of trusting prayer.
We have the same first name. My mom and dad had a pact: he went and played baseball on Friday nights...and on Sunday he had to get up get us out of the house by 8(three girls) we always went for a ride on the merry go roind wentbto parks went to fishbor to the beach in San Diego. It was a perfect arrangement..my mom got to go to a matenee by herswlf in the after noon. The lady who lived accross from us always made coffe and looked out her kitchen window to see my dad with us. She said when he dies...thats what she pictured....years later many people have moved in and out of our house bit she still lives there. She still makes her coffee..and sees him getting us in the car.
This is only one of the reason I have much love and respect for Mr. Harvey. I dont have a son but I see how profound this segment is. The world needs more of this!
My brothers and I all grew up with a mom and dad but we were a dysfunctional family. Domestic violence was a common thing in the house. Dad was physically and verbally abusive to all of us. He's a narcissist. Nobody dared to oppose him because he's got guns (He's in the military). Then one day our dad finally left us, mom had to raise us all by herself. She worked hard day and night so she can put food on the table and send us all to school. There were times we couldn't even go to school because we couldn't afford the bus fare. It was really tough but all the pain and the struggles didn't stop us from reaching our dreams. My mom was our solid rock and if it weren't because of her, we won't be successful professionals today. Now, she deserves all the love and support in her old age. As for my brothers, despite the childhood trauma caused by our abusive dad, they still managed to work on themselves and be the kind of man they are right now. So proud of them. ♥ Never ever let your bad experiences ruin your dreams. Use it as your motivation. 💪
Like anyone else talking SENSE, Steve Harvey leads well (as he always has) and emphasizes the critical NEED for fathers. God bless him for being a guiding light here!! Drives me nuts when politicians ignore the critical importance of the fathers in the community and act as if some PROGRAM or MONEY, etc. will replace the dads. While those things are intended to help, truth is, they're nothing better than a band-aid. NOTHING replaces the dads; the men in the community. So when your politicians aren't discussing that, learn to ignore them. They're only looking out for themselves.
Lost both my mum & old man a long time ago when I was 6 am 30 now. Picked up everything I know from the people I met along the way. Miss them every single day

Steve, thank you! A whole lot of guys need to hear this. It was hard for me to forgive my father but now I help him in his later years. So he can see the man I’ve become
The best thing you did dude because you have truly healed from within and guess your dad must be regretting his past actions now but then its in the past and it has to be that way. Be strong when you eventually become a dad someday to your kids. My take.

Steve is a blessing to this world. As a man who is in the limelight, who could be promoting bad life styles, drugs, and selling an unrealistic image to the world like many famous people do today, he stays humble and shows love and compassion for everyone. Instead of pretending these issues don’t exist in our society, he’s willing to sit and talk with people to get to the bottom of some of these issues. I love this man

Instead of pretending these issues don’t exist in our society, he’s willing to sit and talk with people to get to the bottom of some of these issues. I love this man
Ok.. This is the 1st broadcast of Steve Harvey in the last 15 years that I've seen that actually brought tears to my eyes enjoy getting my soul at the same time period period
I LOVE THIS ,AM A SINGLE MOTHER RAISED 2 SONS ON MY OWN AND I PLAYED THE ROLE OF MOM AND DAD MY SONS CALL ME MOM AND DAD AND THEY ARE REALLY KIND AND LOVING AND CARING AND KNOW HOW TO RESPECT EVERYONE THEY LEARNED FROM ME TO BE A GOOD SON AND TO BECOME A GOOD MAN AND A GOOD FATHER LATER WHEN THEY ARE MARRIED ,I RAISED THEM IN THE FEAR OF CHRIST AND IT WORKED FOR ME LIKE A SINGLE MOTHER

@Possum_911 Hi how are you?
i love this beautiful safe space for men to talk about their fear and problem and find solution together😌
We always belong to our kids/family first before we belong to the world.
Steve Harvey what you did in this episode is special and essential. The entire world needs to reminded of the importance of family, the bonds within families and support when family structures are torn. Men should always support men and mentor men. Mentorship should be part of our civil duty in society as a whole. God Bless you all and may your lives be blessed through your endeavors.
Uncle Steve, exactly what I was doing this morning. Men need this kind of man cave
Had to forward this to my teenage son who haven't seen or communicate with his father for over 12 years.
No matter how some would people throw shades at Steve. Sure nobody is flawless, he admits that he took some bad decisions wrong trying to find himself. Let He who is without sin cast the first stone ....He does alot of good to the world with all these shows. Love you Uncle Steve. God Bless you. This is way better than running around churches searching for miracles ad preaching fake. Real life talks. Thanks Uncle Steve love from Cameroon. Hope I meet someday in this life or in the next.
Ps ,Uncle Steve my mum needs a man been 20 years. She's still young .a God-fearing funny and deep pockets too aint no body dragging her/us back to where we came from...in his 50's and early 60's .
