A great master of this work was Shimaoka Tatsuzo, a Japanese potter who combined roped impressed patterns with inlaid slip to create a technique known as Joman zogan.

Shamoaka was the master of Jōmon zogan style of pottery. I think he was better than his master Hamada. You should use the mishima technique on your Joman pieces like Shamoaka did.
