We made Bangkok Thailand home for two weeks, enjoying great dining and amazing scenery. We loved how easy it was to navigate the city via its network of trains (BTS and LRT) and water taxis. They have numerous buses and taxis, but didn't need to use any of them, as we prefer to walk the final leg from the train station.
There are many great restaurants and sky bars to enjoy the beautiful cityscape. We chose the sky bar at King Power Mahanakhon, which is close to the Chao Phraya River and snakes through the city. We enjoyed a dinner cruise on the river, which is a great way to see the temples and Bangkok nightlife. There are also beautiful parks throughout the city, which offer a break from the busy city life.
Our 🧭 compass now points East to explore Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang for a month, and then onto the Philippines.
