just wasted 2 hours of my life in lectures listening to my teacher and i cant make out what they on about, 11mins with you just cleared it up to my understanding. thanks sir
honestly we need more people like you in the school systems. You get to how to go about doing the problems in a very direct and expect manor, thank you so much!
I have to thank you SO much for teaching the acid/base equations this way. It was incredibly helpful. With so many formulas to learn, this method puts everything into perspective and so much easier to understand. FINALLY the pH formulas make sense and are clicking! Thank you thank you!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! My professor didn't explain this very well even though it will be a major portion of our final exam. I'm so grateful for this easy explanation. I just have to memorize the formulas and I will be golden for the exam. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you very much, you know I was just trying to understand what I wanted to and go offline but then something touched my heart to say thank you to the person who did this video, because it really helped. Thank you very much May God continue to bless you as you continue doing what you are doing to help others💕😊
Chelseay Helka Thanks for the kind words. Honestly, it takes a lot of practice and self reflection, to be able to figure out how to break this stuff down. I'm glad my method worked for you! Best wishes!
I know this is late, but I noticed there were SEVERAL of you that didn't understand Mr. Post's Step 4. I am right along with you. Seeing that he didn't answer any of the other posts, I took it upon myself to look it up and figure it out. Thought I would share because I know there will be others that are just as confused. Okay, so on step 4 we are also solving for the inverse, or antilog of 10x -11.6 (or maybe just 11.6) Still just a little confused....sigh... Hope this helps. Follow these steps. I have a TI30XIIS scientific calculator and solved it in this manner. 1. Press (2nd) 2. Press (Log) 3. Press (-) 4. Press 11.6 5. Press " ) " to close the parenthesis. 6. Press (=) or (Enter) That gives you the inverse or antilog of -11.6 which gives you 2.51 x10-12. The number of H+.
thank god... i was trying to calculate pH as per my online lecture describes it: pH= -log10(H+) I didn't understand that I didn't need to put in the "10". I spent 30 minutes trying to figure this out before finding you and seeing my error in 5 seconds.
Dear SciencePost: You have to emphasize that those Equations/Formulas are only valid IF and ONLY IF the Temperature is 25-degrees Celsius / Room Temperature, and those equations are not valid if the temperature of Water or Aqueous Solutions is not at 25 Celcius. Thanks for the Video, Sir !
You did a great job on this video. I'm not always sure how to use my T1-84 C Silver Plus calculator. So, why not buy one and do a whole video just on using that? I'm sure you would do an awesome job. Considering there isn't much out there on using the calculator, but you did a better job than most! Thanks. :) BTW, you cleared it all up on this topic. So thanks so much! M.
Mallory Durrick Merlino LOL. Great idea on the video, but I'm not familiar with that one. I literally use one like the screen showed. Check out my other vidson this topic if you need more help. Thanks for tuning in :)
Well, you got me there anyway. Also, the next day, the teacher showed everyone how to find the -log and antilog on their calculators but I learned from you so I didn't need the help. Passed the test too! Final is tomorrow.
KhaoticKlitoris Thanks for the kind words. I actually tried really hard to make that vid simple and thorough, which is not easy. Check these out for extra practice ruclips.net/p/PLNc_BreVXbmoXmonRH7IJAR2RqzKJcZM-
Thank you. This is better than my Science Teacher. Also watching your last video. You said "Dude" so much, I facepalmed everytime near the end of the video XD
how did you get 2.51 x 10-12 on the inverse log? I cant figure out how you calculated this. Can someone please explain this to me? This makes no sense. ;(
Hi, I was just wondering about your answer for [OH-] in the question "Calculate the pOH, [H+] and the [OH-] of a HCl solution with a pH of 3.2?" What I was wondering about, because I am taught to be very specific, is your final answer to [OH-], which you got as 1.58x10^-11 which shouldn't it have been 1.587301587x10^-11 => 1.59x10^-11 (3sf) ?
I wish you would have explained how you calculated step 4. makes no sense to me. im super confused and you dont explain how you calculated that number. i cant get that on my calculator. maybe you calculated wrong?
Omfg thank you so much this has explained everything what my class was talking about!! ;o Like this video have saved me lol cx from my quiz next class XD lol cx but thanks again for this video

Me too🤦🏾♀️
This video honestly saved me from failing my chemistry test! You were so easy to follow, unlike other videos! Thank you so much!!!!
Amber Smith Check out my other pH vids. Thanks for visiting!
You are truly a life saver man. learned more from you in 10 minutes that an hour and a half lecture.
Mark Jackson So cool to hear. Thanks bro.

bless your soul. i have a chem final in less than two hours and you, my sir, have saved my ass.
This was so incredibly helpful. How my teacher explained it made absolutely no sense. Thank you SO much!!!
Nice explanation! Now that we are online learning through zoom, RUclips has become my teacher. Thank you!

Thanks for the kind words bro. Best wishes in chem abroad.
Finally!! something easy to follow. Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining what my teacher assumed was obvious. You explained this so much more clearly than he did.👏
You're helping me pass chemistry thanks dude, this is much appreciated
better explanation than my teacher and textbook!
This helped so much. When my teacher explained it, I felt like he was speaking Chinese or something. I get it now! Thank you!
You are an amazing teacher, I hope you are doing well in life wherever you are now!
THANK YOU SO MUCH you saved me I was so lost with the pH to H+ calculations and I finally know now how to input it into my calculator
wow..you are just awesome you are the kind of people we need in the world.keep it up..educate us we really appreciate it God bless you

Thank you! You were a lifesaver with my homework!
That's great to hear! Best wishes keeping up the studies!
Very helpful! My textbook doesn't even have one simple example. THANK YOUUUUU!

Wow, you’re a good teacher. That means I literally just suck at learning chemistry.
Ur awesome u helped me figure out 2 problems on my biology quiz thank u
Dear science post teacher, you are the bomb! Thank you....thank you.,
Thanks. Keep it up
thanks for that!! its more easier to learn this by watching this video
very useful video, which helped me to clear my doubts. many thanks sir I love the way you are talking.
Nuwan Gunawardana So glad that this video helped you. Best wishes in your continued studies.
THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH. YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER
Thank you so much for this video. this was so much more clearer than my book!
modern day hero!
Thanks Steve. Best wishes learning!
great video! Just a heads up for the sig digs.. pH 3.2 is one significant digit so the [H+] should be 6*10^-4 and not 6.3 thanks
Thank you so much for the clear explanation.

Very well explained
THANK YOU MY MAN
