Can you not shoot the hp68 rounds out the stock barrel? Mine jams after the 1st shot goes out.. the site says they recommend .686 barrel to shoot them, how whats the size of the stock barrel?
Nice video as always. I realy like your paintball marker videos where you test them with alternative ammo. The rubberballs fired in this video gave ca 28 joule, so not to far behind in stopping power than the new HP68 ammo. Great video. Keep up the good work :)
yes but rubberball bounces off and the HP68 has a more hard and penetrative property. So if you get hit by a rubberball it is ensured non-lethal, while a HP68 will penetrate a bit and will break bones.
@@Chiinnature You are speaking about Impulse, which is force per unit of time; the change in momentum of the system is the impulse (integrated ,or average force applied, for a time period). You are correct when you describe the additional stopping power: a more massive, and a harder projectile, or one that does not bounce off the target, will impart more energy. What about the breaker balls in comparison?
Mass and velocity do not have a linear relationship, but mass moves inversely with the square of velocity. Energy = 1/2 x mass x (velocity x velocity). This means that if mass is doubled, then velocity becomes 1/(square root of 2) OR if mass is multiplied by 4, then velocity is divided by 2 (because 2 is square root of 4) If mass is multiplied by 9, then velocity is divided by 3 (because 3 is square root of 9) In reality, velocity remains a bit higher than this, when mass is increased, because of a phenomenon called JOULE CREEP. Joule creep occurs, especially with CO2, because a heavier mass moves slower, which utilizes the gas pressure in the barrel to accelerate the mass down the barrel. For paintball applications, the heavy projectile will work well with short barrels.
Have you heard of the Byrna? It's not 12gm CO2, it uses 8gm. One thing I like about it is it puncture the CO2 only when you squeeze the trigger. You can practically keep the canister inside without worries that your air was totally depleted when you needed it most.
But then, how long does it take to reload? With the First Strike pistols, you can have multiple magazines loaded with projectiles and gas and reloading is rapid. Don't turn the piercing screw until you are ready to shoot....it takes no time.
Can you review the Valken M17 possible power mods and velocity for home defense applications? I have been addicted to you videos for weeks now, and the only markers I have are the Valken M17 and the umarex Smith and Wesson T4E M2.0 9mm replica. Good work, you are a smart guy, I have learned a lot from you.
What was your result then? Which are better grimburgs or breckerballs? I believe that you and some others who shoot videos about Grimburg will get special support from the Grimburg team ;)
Nice video... but if proving the weight of the projectiles is a concern of yours, I recommend researching “static electricity vs. scales”. You may reconsider using a coffee can lid on your scale in the making of your next video.
Good to see you back Mak ! I'm thinking of getting a JT er2 pump co2 .68 caliber and rubber balls ! Only 35 bucks online. What do you think for self defence ? Thanks Troy from Vancouver Canada 👍 Love ur channel bruh !
No... never go cheap. The only home defense gun will be FSC / T8.1 or T9.1 or T4.1 from Tiberius, tuned up properly to fire one co2/mag. MANY other guns are not built for this higher power usage, and for the JT, you can max get it to 12 joules by luck only. Spyders are also like that, I have hand many and tried many, all very lame in power, highest you can get is 16 joules with some guns. The TCR from Tippmann can do better but still need a barrel upgrade and some tweaks to the guts to make the 20ish joules mark happen (very unreliable too). The T8.1 or FSC it is, nothing else. Don't risk your life by using a piece of shit to defend yourself. If you are on a budget, get a machete, $30 and you are good to go. Make sure you train with it and don't just fuck around like a dumb kid with a sick whipping around, machete also need skills, just like with guns you also need to practice to get the skills .....
@@Chiinnature Ha ha, machete ! thanks for the quick reply Mak I was just checking out some of your other videos I really really enjoy them man keep up the good work my friend and yes I'll be buyin a Tippmann thanks for all the educational videos they're the best on RUclips my friend take care happy shooting ! 👍👍👍
You have a glock, so do my friends and some choose to use a tiberius t8.1 for REAL protection for their homes - why? First question I want to ask is - are you really sure you want to kill someone and are you really ready to bust the head off someone, clean up your house from the nasty bloody shit and then deal with legal issue? Many people who used these guns and defended their homes end up with ZERO liability, the bad guy got a bad wound and for sure not coming back again, it worked well, I have 2 cases reported that they even got the bad guy on the ground and police came to grab them later... without any issue on liability. If you used bullet in those situation, prepare lawsuit money and stress for months. Good practical shit you never might have thought of maybe, and not everyone want or can have the luxury money to fight lawsuits for a stupid burglar. Real life home defense, speaking from experience.
You know what’s better, is a blank firing gun with an attachment that can fire riot balls. You get faster fps and a gun shot sound that sounds exactly like the real thing. And it’s not plastic like these are it’s actual metal.
Ok you can make you Own Slugs like the HP68 shape, BUT you can make them in ANY weight you want, that is the key, and you can repair them, and Mold New slugs with Steel Balls in the Nose of the slugs for the Weight you want in them. You can make a Multiple Slug Mold Out of Wood Very easily. I made a 30 slug Mold in .68 Cal Slug mold, so I make 30 slugs at a time, My DIY Slug Maker, using HOT GLUE and Steel Balls, they are Very Scary, Very Damaging. I can Make them in 8 gram, slug weight, or, 9 gram, or, 10 gram, or, 12 gram, or ANY weight I want to since I am making them, I control their weight. They are more accurate than Breaker Balls, and Heavier so more damaging.
Rubber balls 3.9g @ 380 FPS = 26 Joules
THANK YOU. More RUclipsrs should 'cut the crap and get to the main thing'.
Too many of them talk just to talk.
👍🏽
LOL I know eh, show da beef right away is the main thing
Averaging 380 ft/sec with 4 gram projectiles, you're getting around 26.8 joules of kinetic energy at the muzzle.
Have you tested Canada Riot Balls?
What's the model of this paintball gun and
What gun was used in the testing of this video?
With the t8.1 setup you have here how would 12gram balls fair or are those a waste of money and too heavy?
Would these work in tipx magazines?? Also what size rifle barrel size would you recommend length/bore size?? Thanks in advance.
