Pretty happy with my TipX. Got a 9" barrel that uses Freak inserts so I can size barrel bore to ball size really close. Got it shooting 12 good shots with 3.6 gram riot balls up into the high 360's for 20-22 joules. I don't think there's many bad people out there that want any of that. Accurate too. I could tune it for more power but don't wanna blow a o-ring or something and want at least 12 shots before the CO2 poops out.

Can we use that with Breaker Balls or Hard Rubber balls? Not expecting it can knockdown with one shot. But with 3 or more shot. Can it knock out a burglar?
One thing you have not considered is the fact police officers have a firearm when the pepperball or riot balls do not have an effect. If the person is inside your home they are there to harm you not to sit down and have a cup of tea with you. I've seen too many of these videos using people in t-shirts or s single-layer jackets. which in those scenarios these applications do stop the person but most wear multiple jackets because when they are escaping a location they strip off one layer... You need maximum power if you are going to use less-lethal in the home.
Wow, not even a t-shirt can provide protection, eh? BTW - I ended up taking off the silly T8.1 tac rail, and mounted my laser sight directly underneath, so now it'll fit in my holster, and is slightly more accurate with the laser closer to the barrel.
LOL! I guess you need to wear some knight armor to protect yourself, hahahaha! Btw, your laser cannot point properly with that rail? Mine works fine though. But yes, nothing fit the holster once you beef up the bottom with shit. It's typical and that is why I don't mount anything on my T8.1s~
+Chiinnature. I had it calibrated fine with the rail, but it flexed and worked best for certain ranges. Mounting closer to the barrel allows for higher accuracy across more ranges.
Erich Moraga True that shit is not so secure on the rail there. It's just good for a flashlight maybe, LOL! How hot are you shooting yours now and how far is the target?
Chiinnature It was 295 FPS last time I shot, but I cranked it up a little without testing afterwards, so I'm sure it's over 300 FPS now. I'm kinda' interested in polishing the internals, since you mentioned it before. Maybe that'll be my next project. Since I got this for home defense, I keep my targets ~30-40 feet away, although I'll be interested in testing outdoor (ie. long range) performance sometime too. Also, I agree the extra step of having to gas up before firing the T8.1 is definitely a "con", but kind of nice extra safety measure too.
Erich Moraga Hahaha, you are just like me, seeing the high 290s and then somehow when you have nothing to do, your brain just tells you to give it a tiny tweak more to see if it can fire hotter. LOL!!! I can totally understand that feeling man. Seeing the 300x is fun, but also less effective shots per Co2 though. If you have a digital caliper, measure your box of Co2 and pick out all the longer ones, those will have more Co2 in them and give more shots. Trust me, you will be shocked to see some Co2 are very short and some are very long even in the same box!Sometimes you have to check the gun's power the next day to make sure the gun is REALLY at that power too. I tried having the gun tuned to 298ish FPS, next day, it is at the 289, 286, 295 etc. So give it a tweak make it go back to the 300s and then next day check again. If you check the gun on 3 days and it is always performing about 300, you are good, the gun is stable and ready for duty.! :)Do you know that the police version of the T8.1 only goes to 16-17 joules? That is like in the 240 fps with breaker balls LOL!!! We are going crazy with these high power man. Let me know if you did any video showing your shooting and some targets being kaboomed at 40 feet, I would love to see some shooting at that distance with targets being smashed. Maybe fruits, cans, phonebook, whatever if you can do some! :)
for a self defense senario i would go with a tipx. reason being is if i had it in my car and someone trys to rob me i wouldnt want to kill them as much as hit them with 2 rounds to the stomach .blank and drive off full speed. the tiberius i would be using way to much power to hit someone .blank. for home defense id use a tiberus mainly because at that poit idk if they have a gun or nit or how many people are there so id gas up the gun and the good part is that the co2 is in the mags so if i use my 8 rounds i can reload without having to worry about running out of gas.

The TIPX will be good enough to put someone down the ground already, if you tune it right and change a nice A5 stock barrel on it, it will go around 16-18 joules and is enough power to drop a man down too.
+Chiinnature So sad :/ You guys are talking about Joule numbers that are Science Fiction here in Germany. Our RAM weapons are (just like Air Rifles and Pistols) only allowed a maximum of 7.5 Joules. So about a quarter of what you are talking about in the video.
