Our mothers were pregnant around the same time. My birthday was this past Friday I turned 31, my mother is 45…do the math. We had young moms, who made something of themselves. So very proud of them both. I told my mom it’s her birthday as well as it is mine. She’s so grateful for me and treats me like I’m a gift to her every single day as do I with her! Times used to be so hard. I remember people telling me stories about how my mom would take care of me while she was working at Dunkin’ Donuts at only 14 years old at 3 AM attending to me underneath the cash register in my car seat, while she made coffee for the public.
