This episode reminded me of early Hot Ones in the best way. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been awesome to see this show reach the mainstream and land some of the world’s biggest celebrities, but it’s dope to have a RUclipsr/independent content creator in the mix every once in a while too.

I think it’s important to remember that this is a market now. He brings in tons of revenue from adverts and views. That being said he interviews celebrities and prominent figures. Real authentic human beings can also be celebrities. Genuine people are everywhere. But going from Chloe Kardashian to Andrew Callahan is awesome for diversity and increases the demographic of his channel

Agreed. With the celebrities, I feel like they have to watch what they say in order to avoid ANY controversies, but with guests like Andrew it feels really genuine and down to earth. It makes it easier to watch seeing them both just be basically chilling

This is commonly repeated talking point but the reality is there are plenty of great journalists out there that are kneecapped by their need to work for corporate media to survive. The issue is not with journalism, but the capitalist stranglehold over the news.
Yeah plus this guy really really likes the status quo media friendly ideas. No he's not one of the only true ground journalists there are thousands of them it's just that you don't hear about them because they're not promoted like this guy is even though I love Andrew.

What this kid does for journalism is unparalleled in today's world of media and news outlets. In my honest opinion, he's shaping to become one of the best journalists alive. If some of you have not yet seen anything from All Gas No Brakes or Channel 5, I highly recommend you do. This guy deserves all the good things that come his way because what he contributes to society is literally priceless. What a joy to see him on this show, best crossover I never thought I needed.

The legacy media discussion was so on point for this episode. Both Sean and Andrew are TITANS of the new wave and they just get it. They understand how to reach people, they scratch the content itch, they present things as they are and avoid sensationalism like the plague. Love these two, will keep watching for as long as they continue to make content.

Their chemistry is so good, Sean always does a good job of matching guests' energy but these two really seem to click

It's really satisfying to hear that Andrew really cares about just hearing people out and not creating a narrative. That's what makes him awesome. His videos don't have a slant other than to be kinda funny. Respect.
They definitely do have a slant its just not direct and he stays neutral during the interviews

I think there's times he hints towards agreeing or disagreeing with something, but for the most part I do think his interviews are very neutral.

Andrew's response to the question asked at 12:13 is probably the most eloquent and accurate observation on the current state of media/news ive heard in a while and its one thats gained from an objective and accurate view of america because of the way hes travelled around and tried to see things from different peoples perspectives.

Its too both sidesy. I hate CNN / MSNBC, they are trash, but there is no such thing as center right media anymore. It may represent the current right accurately, but it is dangerous fascist propaganda. Will be an unpopular take here, and I love Andrew and sent that first AGNB vid to everyone I knew, but its an oversimplification. I think he's right that its why he's popular with young ppl tho

National parks are definitely not overrated. I’ve gone more than 24 hours on several occasions without seeing a single solitary soul in National parks while hiking all day in the most beautiful wilderness you can find. Natl parks arent supposed to be trips to rest stops on the side of the road

pretty sure he's a fan. there was a video where sean was answering fan questions and I think he gave andrew and channel 5 a shout.
That lot lizard story is incredibly underrated. All too often viewers and listeners expect a harrowing story of danger and debauchery.
That story speaks about the goodness in humanity as a whole. Which is what Andrew seems to want to show the world.

I've seen lots of their recent guests in movies but like idgaf about their thoughts IRL, with internet personalities you get a better sense of who they are and it makes me interested to hear about what they have to say. From the get go, Was a big fan of All Gas no Brakes in its entirety. I really gained a ton more respect for Andrew when he came to Portland, Oregon in the midst of all of the protests involving BLM and that stuff. He went into Portland and gave us all real reporting and true non narrative driven interviews with real people. Really opened my eyes to how predatory big media is. This guy is the real deal. Great interview !

I truly believe Andrew is the realest journalist we have right now. American Louis Theroux of the new generation. He’s bringing us coverage of super important events from the trenches, and giving a voice to a variety of people.

I’m a busy dad of the same age as well and Andrew is the only reason I even check RUclips and even bought his merch. Check his old stuff in all gas no breaks. All his stuff is amazing.
His coverage of the black lives matter riots was pretty groundbreaking actually. You never know what you're gonna get on all gas no breaks or channel 5 news. Sometimes it's spring break in Miami, and sometimes it's a literal war zone. Highly recommend following his work.

Please do yourself a huge favor and subscribe to his channel on youtube, channel 5. His interview adventure videos are by far the best there is on youtube, the guy is an artist that will eventually become a legend in the industry with the direction he is going. He shines a unique light on everything he does and really gets people to open up completely to him.
This had to have been a personal request by someone on the Hot Ones team to have him on. Andrew Callaghan is a legend among legends among the internet denizens who are at least a little engaged, but he's now among the Hollywood elites even if they wouldn't recognize who he is.

One of the best guests the show has ever had for sure, this kid probably has so many more crazy stories. It was nice seeing a change from all the major celebrities coming on the show.

Andrew is probably more than any other content creator on the internet a chill down to earth guy. He seems to just click with anyone and never struggles with knowing when to take a backseat in a convo or when to get the ball rolling in one either.
He’s actually incredible, his humility, his tact he’s so intelligent and curious and yet disarming and present. A gift to the world in showing how to be in it.

All Gas No Brakes and Channel 5 always reminded me a lot of Kyle Mooney's "kyle" channel. I wish Kyle still made youtube content. Him and Andrew are easily my favorite youtube personalities.

@@tylergaetz5567 Where do you draw the line. At what point can you call out an individual for not educating themselves on the world around them and saying no, it's not acceptable anymore. We are all victims of the natural and social world but at some point, a point that is impossible to find, a person is choosing to ignore the issues around them. And then at the extreme causing harm to others.
I remember watching Andrew on quarter confessions man, it makes me so happy to see how far he's gotten in life. Truly a great guy.

I've been waiting for Andrew to come on for so long. In a time where everything is labeled amazing and "genius", he really found a way to stand out and become sort of a revolutionary. I treat him almost like a news source at this point lol
