Everyone complaining about Cage winning was how I felt when they didn't win for Melophobia a few years back
Why in the hell are they playing "Back in Black" and not a Cage song? The Grammy's are clueless. Congrats to Cage, the best live band in existence.

I think the producers of the show told the band to play a classic rock song because, in order to practice a song by C.T.E., they would've known that they would win. The producers didn't want them to tell people the results before the show.

nobody can give credit to Cage The Elephant? I mean all bands work hard I understand but geez. CTE never gets any recognition and they don't whine in their music. The put on one hell of a show every sing night they perform. It feels like you're watching an old 70s concert when you go to their shows. It's awesome and true rock. CTE doesn't ever get credit and then they finally win and then you have all the mainstreamers coming out of their caves where their 40 year old band members live crying about "well what about MY band that I like?" They've won enough and they're all about to be at retirement age so why don't you quit trying to hold on to that sound you lost your virginity to.

The EricSmith You obviously haven't listened to White. After 1 year of EWBAITES release, White came out to be the better album (EWBAITE was the best album in 10 years). Tbh, White was better in my opinion. The songs there where awesome. I am glad CTE did get recognition but, Weezer needs some too.

At the semi-automatic disco imo this was a pop album, in the past they were alternative but i think now that Urie is on his own the band's went in a different direction than it previously leaned towards. i've nothing against them, there's nothing wrong with pop or anything and i have incredible respect for urie as an artist, this album was just put in the wrong category and shouldnt be compared to the likes of cte or gojira. and to be honest they shouldnt have been nominated for alternative either, to compare them to the likes of bowie and radiohead is kind of dumb

while people are upset about cage the elephant winning (who knows why it's an awesome record) death of a bachelor (the title track) is pretty much jazz it's not rock at all. Cage the elephant are rock by the definition. Pan!c are one of my favorites so not slating them in anyway just on this album in particular Cage the elephant was more rock. Anyone who says otherwise or that they're pop go listen to bieber or Ed sheeran that's pop

Certain parts of the album are most definitely influenced by jazz, but P!ATD is considered an alternative band

1. Panic! At The Disco's newest album sucks ass. And I loved their first two albums. Vices was their downfall start.
2. The new album is like 90% electronic. The fact they were even nominated in best "rock" in the first place is ridiculous.
3. Cage The Elephant has been pushing out quality music since their inception. A best rock album Grammy for them is long LONG overdue.

Isabella ! Cage the elephant has been making music since 2001 and they’ve gone years without recognition. A lot of people have heard of panic at the disco in the early days but Cage barely made any recognition only because of 1 song ain’t no rest for the wicked and almost 17 years without recognition what a shame
