Use the DSUM Function

Excel has a bunch of these "Database" function; usually it starts with the letter "D". It basically allows you to perform some kinds of calculation or manipulate data from a table of data for some defined output. WOW... after some tinkering, the way you have those blank columns above so you can just type in a criteria... THAT is huge. No one I have found explains it like that!!!.

How do I add a second row to that table up at the top of your spreadsheet? Do I really need to have the column heading be right above the name all the time?

What if you wanted an OR condition within the criteria i.e if the region is either west or east, sum up the sales?

I'm new to excel and trying to run before I walk if I'm honest
But it took me a few hours of head scratching to work out that its the 3rd column of the specified table and not the 3rd column on the whole sheet that makes the formula work
Anyway thanks heaps saving me loads of time in the future regardless

Can I use dsum without a table. Been working on something for a information center for a game I play. I've got lots of Data that needs calculation. But this could work for what I'm looking Todo for a quick information . Shame I can't share photo In comments. Let's see if I can try to explain it

I've got Product to produce, the Time it takes, the product 1 & product 2 to make product. But I've got a variable as well. It's the amount of production slot's I have to make the product. I'd like all this information in this group here. This is below the rest of the information.
Product Production Slot's Total Time Total Cut's Total P1 Total P2
Production slots are from 1-10 but what I'm wanting to know if it's possible to setup kinda like what you have but bring up the total time, total cuts, total p1, total p2. With changing the product to be produced to (Marshmellow, cannaflour, weed butter, chocolate, honey,& milk) and then change the slots to 1-10. And have the rest of the information change automatically to what I would need to fulfill the request . I know some of this is multiplication as well . But I did add the pull-down or what seems to be pull-down( data validation) is what I used so far. To make selection easier for the product to be made and the production slot's have the data validation. Just trying to reach out for a bit of help. Otherwise id have to make a table for each which would look like a times table from grade school or many tables one for each product. Just trying to conserve on space by using formulas
