Really good video ..................very impressive
I was involved in construction of the asia's steep penstock pipe with 53 * degree inclination at terminal end and 3 degree inclination at anchor 8 and 9. Even though there were high officers, they let me work freely . An haulage track line was installed parallel to pipe line with mechanical engineer Mr. Srinivasan. Both worked day and night in this tiger infested jungle area. I am sorry to read the present condition of the power plant that was raised as if my own.

Penstocks are pipe lines used to convert the Potential energy of water in the dam to Kinetic energy in the turbine and then to Electrical energy in the coupled generator. Since they carry "Potential Energy Stock" before delivery to turbines, it's called *PENSTOCK*.

Can we use a part of electricity generated to pump up the same water again to the reservoir...it will recycle the water and electricity will be generated agaon n again..?
