I'm 36 and was up at 5 a.m doing this kind of thing the other morning. I've never stopped staying loose and ready. I was never a national champion, all american or state champion but i was a good wrestler who loved the sport. Never stop training even when you're older. This is an exceptional tutorial. Well done sir 👏
@@dinrang3697 start with MMA, best way to become a good wrestler is the school route, some start highschool, some start elementary and go way to college.
@dinrang3697 depends on what you mean by get far but I'd say you have plenty of time, I mean 10 years from now you'd only be 35 and you can learn a ton in 10 yrs!
I'm an older guy learning BJJ and through that have come to appreciate just how powerful wrestling and wrestlers are. I wish I had tried this back in high school but c'est la vie. Awesome drills that I will be doing on my own. Thank you for this.
I've seen a lot of videos [showing what movements are done] and videos [explaining with a voice why you should do them]. However, I don't think I've seen many videos that explain it with still images and subtitles so that even foreigners who are not good at English can understand it in just a few simple words. So this video is very valuable. Kudos to the channel owner's efforts.
I was born in 1954! I still do martial arts & weight train but never had good basics in freestyle wrestling. In fact, I asked my high school weight training coach about joining the wrestling team and he asked if I had experience , I said none. My coach said it was too late for me to join at 16 yrs of age. There was no youtube for me to teach myself. I went into judo instead.🤨. Anyway these wrestling moves gives me more incentive to exercise but I do it slower. @@ExTrimEast_kpop_lover
Most people don't have mats at home but what I use is either an old blanket folded for my knees when I go for double or singles or overall wrestling, or you can use old pillows and use them for for your knees but you should grab a blanket fold it up a few times and put it in an area where there's lots of room hope this helps make sure u have atleast half a meter of room with ur blanket
I have never learned wrestling but just learned bjj only but this wrestling drills will help me so much ! appreciate a good quality video! keep uploading bro! from south korea :)
Thanks. Many people don’t think about this, but Wrestling is a martial art and along with Boxing, one of the oldest. It is the best base for MMA in our opinion bc it takes the longest to be truly high level in (yes, even more than BJJ. BJ Penn won the BJJ world championship in 3.5 yrs of training. No wrestler has ever done this). BUT, it’s never too late to learn. Get some home mats and practice these moves. That’s why we put this video together. Once you feel comfortable, see if you can find an adult wrestling club that has novice classes. We have that at our gym and there are others out there like us.
Doing these drills tomorrow morning! Wrestling conditioning is some of the best physical conditioning humanly possible alongside Muay Thai and other Disciplines of the Body and of the Mind because it builds character, too! I even like the music. Who are the musicians?
I do BJJ and grappling/no gi for MMA and I love freestyle wrestling but unfortunately there are no clubs in my area, so I'm definitely adding the shots and tripod drills to my training.
Hey man, i love this tutorial. Been trying to perform these drills for a week but when it comes to head springs i just can't. Been living a dormant lifestyle my whole life until now that i'm 20 that i start to exercise. At this point i'm extremely unathletic and easily injure so can i ask you of an easier alternative for now until i'm ready for head springs? Much appreciated, brother
All u need is a pocketful of moves that run on instinct. Drill drill drill the basics we'll take u a long ways if u fuel it with hard work an dedication. Thanks bro

Thanks Anthony I'll add these to my bjj exercise routine, now if I could convince my team mates at the bjj academy to stand up wrestle and not to but scoot, lol
