This definitely was the best advice on pricing I have seen! It really basically comes down to trial and error and quick reaction time to adjust as you go. But a lot of us really didn't know where to start, so thanks!!

All my lawns I service, I consistently make a dollar a minute..give or take a few minutes for small chit chat before and after. It's worked out well for me.

damn!!! I was confused with one of your last videos but this one made it extremely clear. you should be a professor of lawn pricing for beginners like myself
James Tyree II $60/hr min in australia, remember there is an unquantifiable cost on your body as it is physical work, stepping in pot holes causing minor ligament tears is the biggest risk factor i found.
I am 20 years old and I have had a lawn care service since I was 17. I have 30 yards now. I'm starting to see more cost for gas, employees, insurance and lawn maintenance. Is it good to put 2-3 dollars aside per yard for gas coverage for $30 yards and under? Or should I put aside more? Because I'm starting to create a savings for the lawn care so I can purchase better equipment.

How to price your lawn care. Try to do as many houses in one Street or town. This will save you gas. And a lot of headaches Plus, that's the way you make real profits. Because you could go from one lawn. To the other.
Johnathon, thank you for the advice through your videos. It is awesome you are willing to help like you are. Quick question. If someone sits down to figure out there numbers. For example sake lets say it costs them $15.00 per hour to operate. Then they figure out what they want to make on top of that. Lets say they want to make $25.00 per hour. This is a total of $40.00 per hour. When you say per man hour is that what a person actually needs to make minus the expense of there business per hour, or is that there expense plus what they need to make?

I don't think you mentioned competition who wants to Low-Ball fair market value. There are videos of property managers who want to pay $40 for an overgrown property and the lawn professional just walks away. Some properties are not worth doing the work to meet the customer's expectations.
Does anyone have any experience using LMN time in their lawn care business? We use LMN for our hardscaping and landscaping crews, but have yet to implement it for our grass crews. Thanks for any & all advice!

$60.00 an hour is pretty much a norm for all of your REAL lawn care companies aside from the part timers. If you are really doing this the way it should be done, you have liability insurance and all of the overhead any other company would have to be able to be a licensed company in your state. If you are not doing it legally and claiming your income and paying taxes on it then you are definitely doing it wrong. Not worth going to jail for to have a few extra bucks.
Where is this? Am I missing something? For me are these sound like ridiculously small lots. Like just small apartment fronts or very small homes in the city. (?) Most lots where I live average about 10k to 20k (most in rural areas) after subtracting the house and driveway, etc.

I wonder how much the equipment would factor in. A bigger or more specialized mower has a larger depreciation just because of the higher purchase cost. If you do commercial and have even less than 40 $/manhour that seems to be really bad business

Raymond Nicholas good for you brother!! That ain’t happening in my neck of the woods. I don’t care how good a salesman you are or how good your work is when there’s 10 other guys who will cut for pennies on the dollar.
I don't know where in Florida you're doing your work, but where I'm at in Florida, I make an easy $60 per hour. I don't even get out of bed, for less than $45 for any property.
I do a lot of small 3k-5k sq ft lots. I like doing these. I charge $30 each and it’s easy and some are neighbors side by side to each other. So $60 in two lawns and about 45 mins to do both of them. Ain’t bad at all. As for me give me a non picky just wants it mowed customer who I can charge $30 and be done with their property in about 30 mins or so and I’ll take that over the picky bigger lot person who most of the time wants a lot of work for not a lot of money 🤦♂️

When you talk about first starting off and you mention you don't want people to be signing contracts but you do want to be "signing them up", what do you mean by this? Does this mean literally having them sign something or do you mean you enter them into a CRM type thing?

I totally agree with what your saying here. As for what you actually earn each job ir a $50 lawn you make $35 , due to rubbing costs ...
