Hi Abzi. It's possible that you had the wrong LNB on your satellite dish as the Sky Q LNB is not compatible with normal Sky+ boxes. More information can be found here: ruclips.net/video/xElFux1xmEU/видео.html
@@abzi2741 Sorry I don't understand the comment. The Sky Q main box needs wires to the satellite dish and the multi-room boxes can connect wireless to the main Sky Q box if they are within range.
I have the sky q box but it keeps telling me that there is no signal on either of my sky boxes as I have one in my bedroom as well, can you help me to reset both of my. Tv’s with sky, I have tried to do it myself but I am now a widow and am struggling. PLEASE. CAN YOU HELP ME

Hi Daphne, sorry it sounds like a faulty box (or hard drive). You could try power cycling the equipment. Turn it off at the mains electrical connection and switch back on after a few mins.

Hi, my sky box has been in this update mode for hours and is not working. The same message came on my tv screen this morning saying its updating and all 4 lights were switched on the sky box but its been like that for about 10 hours now. I've tried to manually reset the box again by pressing back up and unplugging the box then plugging it back in but the update screen comes up again and it stays on without anything actually happening after 10 mins. Any help will be much appreciated..
The Sky box may need to have a change , it depends where your sky box. I think your sky box may not be faulty and it is your connection to your router which is making your sky box reset over and over again.
Hi. What Sky version remote do you have? If you take off the battery cover and look on the reverse side it should have something that says something like 'rev 4'
Give this a go on your remote 1 Press "TV" 2 Press and hold "Select" and "Yellow" together until red led in remote end flashes twice (On HD remotes "Select" and "i" together) - if it doesn't flash twice then remote cannot be reprogrammed (clone or too old) 3 Press "0" to operate standard box, "1" for Sky+ and on HD remotes "2" for HD - remotes in Sky+ mode will normally control HD boxes as well 4 Press "Select" - red led should flash twice 5 Press "Sky" and away you go
Okay cool. Basically im wiring up a new caravan park and they want me to sort out the tv points for the caravans. So ive got 15 coax points and they go back to a mains point split into 2 points. So 7 at 1 main point and 8 at the other. I can see the tv mast which is over the bay from where im doing the install aprox 15 miles away. Just wondering what dish or aerial to go with and would i need a booster or a splitter. Or what ive seen somewhere was a tap? Because my cable lengths range from 15m up to 80m. Thanks Ollie.
Also. Looking for something easy on the eye with the dish or aerial. Not too fussed about costs. Needs to be tidy. They will be mounted to the same pole as the wifi points as well, will they have any interference? We use ubiquiti products. Thanks
I would install a Vision 32 if you're in a reasonable reception area. You shouldn't get any interference from the Ubiquiti kit but you might want to install a bandpass filter on the aerial to be on the safe side.

I'm not sure Lee. The recordings on Sky boxes are encrypted to the hard drive. This prevents easy transfer.

If the cable isn't that old he can re-use the cable. The most important thing is that the cable is double screened and in good condition.

They are still doing them as it is not always possible to get Sky Q in some places. Some blocks of flats etc, but they probably won't tell you that.

Hi Aisha. Sounds like the Sky box is faulty I'm afraid.
