  • Sometimes when looking over lists of optics Hans and Jason come to realize they somehow missed reviewing a scope. This time, they found 2 scopes they missed! This week on the podcast they will be playing catch-up and reviewing both the AGM Adder TS35-640 & TS50-640 thermal rifle scopes. These scopes have been on the market for awhile and are extremely popular for many reasons but the common theme you'll hear repeated multiple times in this show is "value for the dollar". When you combine the warranty, the free American Defense mount, the image quality and the features, the Adders deserve a very hard look when it comes time to make a scope purchase. Check out this review and let us know what you think!

    *** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
    Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

    You guys don’t mention the anything about zeroing any thermal scopes.AGM now has a Freeze mode,very easy to zero.They also have very good firmware updates.
    Thanks for your reviews!

      That’s a good point. Yes sir the zeroing is about like any other thermal these days and is simple and easy once you figure it out. Thanks for watching!

    Great review.... wish it had more video through the optics, though (different weather, terrain, animals, etc)
    Being a Northern hunter, the Adders are topping my short list due to battery life. Wish they had a bit more picture clarity, but that's about it. Maybe they'll put the Sidewinder components into the Adders soon, who knows?

      It’s a really nice optic for the money. You’ve got to spend more to get more so the price is right especially considering the warranty, ADM mount etc. But if more clarity is needed, those options are out there at a higher premium price. Thanks for watching, we appreciate it!

    Why do the 640's tend to go lower base mag? 640. 3or4x base would be awesome.

    • @TheLateNightVisionShow
      @TheLateNightVisionShow  7 месяцев назад

      The larger the resolution, the more expensive it becomes to get higher base magnifications. As the sensor resolution goes up it takes a larger lens and longer focal length to get the same magnification that’s easily achieved on a lower resolution optic. It not a simple explanation because it’s math and physics. But it’s important to understand the manufacturers can’t just twist a knob and make an optic 3x, 4x, 5x etc. It’s all done with lenses and moving the sensor closer and further from the lens and as mentioned the higher the resolution, the more difficult (expensive and keeping size small) it is to achieve higher base mag. We hope this helps a little.
      There are some great 3x 640 scopes so if that’s what you’re looking for, feel free to give us a call! 877-350-1818

      How do you feel about switching from Pulsar to AGM? I've had Pulsar for 5yrs, bought xm38 when they first vame out and have xq35 pro. Lovig Pulsar, I'm curious if I would like other brands.

      I’d suggest giving us a call to discuss it in more detail. It would really depend on what you were switching to in the AGM line up and what sort of improvements you were looking for. Feel free to call us, we’d love to have your business on future thermal purchases.

    But how long is the battery going to last on the inside of the scope before it has to be replaced in other words when the battery goes bad how do you it

    • @TheLateNightVisionShow
      @TheLateNightVisionShow  9 месяцев назад

      AGM warranties the battery for 5 years and says they will replace it after the warranty for very reasonable fee if that problem arises. There will probably be some point where it’s not reasonable for them to work on them anymore but they will be doing work on them for at LEAST 5 years after the last Adder is ever sold since the warranty lasts that long.

    Is it possible to use these scopes in the day time ?

    • @semperhuts
      @semperhuts 9 месяцев назад

      yes, they work great on the day unless it is real hot outside. These are not night vision picking up the IR spectrum. They pickup heat signature

    Would have set the scopes side by side looking at the same object to show the difference if you don't want to explain it as much 😉 otherwise we need u

    How do you adjust the sights ?

    • @TheLateNightVisionShow
      @TheLateNightVisionShow  11 месяцев назад

      You use a basic zeroing function for the digital crosshairs. It’s essentially like every other thermal scope. Once you see it, it’s very logical. Thanks for watching
