Kurdish and Persian language are from the same languages family just like how Arabic and Hebrew are Semitic but Arabs and Jewish people are different peoples it's the same story and yes this is why we have similar flags and this depends on colors red and green so even afghanistan has it while the Kurdistan flag has the Kurdish sun in the middle
