Plus been doing so for years but just now getting 500k subs. Then you have talentless kids with no brains who put no effort in their videos what so ever and they only post once a month but they have millions of subscribers. I just Don't get it lol thank you Wynns for the great videos! I appreciate all of your hard work!
I love your videos and look forward to Sundays just so I can watch you both with your funny words and fun situations! You guys are my favorite RUclipsrs! Hugs💕

Hey guys, another lovely video, thank you. I notice that your basil herbs flowering….if you want them to continue to grow well, keep trimming off the flower tops. Basil needs to be trimmed like that in order to maintain the plant. You can also cut some of the woody stems off and stick them in plain water till they start rooting and you will have a new one soon. Most herbs work that way. Happy sailing y’all!
Not only to keep them healthier. Flowering basil can make the leaves have a bitter taste. Nip those off soon and try to prevent them from flowering again! The cockles looked amazing, though. Great video!
Jason: having a great time searching for cockles The oysters: *Peace was never an option* Although coconut palms aren't native to New Zealand now, New Zealand once had a tropical climate and thus there is fossil evidence NZ once had coconut palms around 50 million years ago and disappeared around 5 million years ago during glaciation. The closest living relatives of these NZ coconuts, is the genus Parajubaea from South America
very surprised you guys don't wear water shoes. Between the cockels, broken shells and bottles, coral, there's just all kinds of stuff to cut up your feets on. Plus, when you go into town or climbing on rocks and stuff when ashore, you've got some foot protection. I love mine. Another great episode! Keep 'em coming!
LOL right near the end of watching u guys hunt for cockles I said to myself "man i'd be wearing water shoes,, I know what thoes beaches can do to feet" because I took a deep sea swimming course and we were constantly warned about our feet, and then BOOM that cutaway lmfao that really sucks but yea the beach water suck for feet!
Nikki, I am a professional Chef. 2 easy things for you to consider. Give the cockles a sprinkle of cornmeal. The cockles will exchange residual sand for the cornmeal. Also use the back of your knife to scrape your cutting board clean. It saves a little wear and tear on the knife edge.
A bit off topic, but after watching some other people’s sailing videos I wanted to say how impressed I am that you two keep your boat so organized and clean. I know it’s not easy, especially during maintenance, but it really does make a difference.
As a Kiwi (New Zealander) living in NYC….watching you in my child hood summer backyard brings a huge smile to my face, Great Barrier Island was a trove of adventure and mystery, we would always be away with 10-12 other boating families, the best memories a child can have…hopefully you are heading down around the Coromandel islands….they won’t disappoint!

I don't think I've missed a single episode since I stumbled across your channel. Thank you for making these wonderful travelogues. Oh heck, they all are so much more than that. Congrats on 500k!!! I love watching all the fun and adventures you all have! I look forward to more. Be careful out there with sharp objects. WOW! The new drone and fun equipment is AWESOME!! I love it!!
I really enjoyed Nikki's little "Happy Dance" when she was revealing the new Tech toys. I love Tech stuff. Loved the episode ( recently) of you both showing the laptops you both use & editing equipment. Hello 500k Subs. Congrats! 🏆
Nice move DJI! Thanks from all of us! Sailing channels inspired me to buy a DJI a few years back. Now if I could only get inspired to cook from Niki, but all I want to do is eat everything she makes!
Great video. I love that you highlighted the fishing limit for viewers and your new zoom in lens attachment is an awesome way to show us detailed shots!
Those mics are awesome. I've seen heaps of tech reviews on them and the capabilities of them are pretty awesome and easy to use. I have no use for them whatsoever, but neat toy/tool for creators.
I watched your feet in the mud, the beautiful foot shots and then I saw the coral. The first thought was, "Wouldn't it be better to wear sandals to protect your feet?" And then you show the first aide kit. Dearest Jason, may you heal quickly without any complications. I was craving clams watching!. Curiosity. Are you buddy boating with other people? Lots of other boats there. Blessings!

I love to see that you two are such good pals. That you make one another laugh and that you truly enjoy one another's company. (I guess if you didn't enjoy one another, you wouldn't be living on a boat at such close quarters)
Congrats on 500k! On the other hand, how do you only have 500k? You deserve to have and should have 2-3M!! You have such a quality and consistent channel that has consistently interesting videos every single week! This week we learned how to cook a food that includes its own spoon!
That Cockle dinner looked amazing even with the "Cerfuffle" sacrifice. You guys have such a fun lifestyle and your channel makes my Sunday Everytime! Your love for each other is so great to see. Happy sail's. Cheers Wynn's!!
Your videos are wonderful. Thank you. Please be mindful of drinking alcohol. Too many people I know who have alcohol issues started like you...traveling and luxury dining experiences..then it grabbed them and slowly destroyed their relationships and lives like a frog slowly being boiled. Again....love you videos. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us. ❤️❤️❤️
Also, tip to cook clams and similar shellfish... Lightly steam them with just a bit of water and without all that stuff you put in that pot. Once they just start to pop open, remove from heat and let it cool down to the side (cool enough to handle them with a glove on (or not)). Finish opening them over the steaming pot with the remaining water, so the meat and juices fall back in the pot. Discard the shells overboard later (will add to the scent trail (see below reply about that)). This method is far easier to deal with then trying to flavor actual shells and then dealing with the mess that comes with it. ;) THEN, once all the clams/shellfish have been shucked back in the pot, put it aside and off the heat. They may not seem throughly cooked yet, but that's ok at this point because they will finish cooking later at the end. I actually like to sauté the vegetable ingredients a bit first in another pan with a bit of olive oil, seasoning, then add the herbs and coconut milk or a bit of wine, then add in all the clam meat and juice flavored water back in the pan with the sautéed veggies, by spooning the clam meat back in and then sloooly pouring the juice in the end without the last bit with can hold grit and sand in it. Discard that last bit of juice. Finish with a pad of butter, a bit more olive oil, simmer a bit then serve. If you used the wine method instead of coconut milk, then serve over pasta with fresh uncooked basil for a real treat. If the coconut milk method, then add a side of rice or rice noodles and some Thai basil.
Awesome! LOVE the foraging! And I was yelling cockle debacle! at the TV screen! Lol...keep up the great content. We love living large through you guys!
Also, loved this video. Last video was such a tease with the lobster. You guys should do more cooking videos. Nikki is such a good cook! Jason is good at getting the cockles….. and his foot cut. Love you brother XD

Hi Nikki, Jayson! I follow your videos from long time ago….I noticed that sometimes you guys drive your dinghy without attaching the red safety line to your hand! Please be careful as this can be dangerous particularly on rough sea! I enjoy your videos very much and can’t wait to watch them weekly! Have fun!!
We LOVE foraging! It's for sure in my top 5 favourite things about living on a boat- just being able to visit remote beaches and forests to find incredible food. We had jam this morning made from berries we foraged in the spring, pickled sea asparagus and pickled kelp rings with our breakfast- all foraged and canned while on our boat! It's the best way to live.
You're right on the edge of the roaring forties so as you head south (and I dearly hope you will explore more of this country than the 100Ks around Auckwardland) you can expect a bit more strong Westerlies.
I'm not even on the market for any camera equipment that you have, but I sure do appreciate your notations in the video! Love seeing the changes as you play around with the equipment.
There's a big difference between a cockle kerfuffle and a cockle catastrophe. Catastrophe might have been if the bucket of cockles had fallen off the sugar scoop after cleaning. I love the foraging, just wondering where you forage for Nicki's ice cream. Great new Mavic 3 - Hasselblad camera! I'm thinking now maybe it was a cockle calamity. Thanks for the video.
Congratulations on 500K subscribers! I'm glad another 420K people have found you since I did. The authenticity of you both and your journey radiates from your weekly dispatches. It's great entertainment and inspiring to follow along. Here's to the future!
When we were kids, we'd wear thin flat tennis shoes in the water to feel with our feet to find clams. Never go barefoot, to easy to really get cut bad. Do conkles taste like clams? I'm so happy to hear DJI took care of y'all. Love my DJI drone!
Brilliant vlog as usual. If you leave the cockles in a bucket of salt water overnight, they spit the sand out of their system. Much nicer to eat without crunching on a bit of sand.
Congratulations on the 500k subs!!! You two certainly deserve those and more as you have produced an excellent channel, made epic friends and brought awareness to so many topics and issues as well as attempted to make a difference whereever you two go! Soaking with bicarbonate and sunlight!!! My grand would have us swim and then layout for an hour, morning sunlight to be sure and we her five grandchildren were always having to be treated. We really thank you both so much, being back in lock down we look forward to your shows, we share, share, share as the comfront of seeing your curiosity driven adventures is inspiriing and uplifhting!
I see so many videos of all these sailors that don't wear shoes. I've even read it in books. But when I walk around my boat I see so many things that can screw up my feet. Definitely always wearing my deck shoes.
Love the cockle kerfuffle episode. Jason has to be a pain to live with because he is always happy and smiling....even when injured. BTW, the footage from the new drone is awesome!
Wow, who knew it was so simple to harvest, cook and enjoy Cockles? I stopped midway, had to find out how to forage Cockles here in Central Florida! They do caution to Not keep the little ones, which I would not do anyway. I want Cockles NOW! I Wrote the recipe on my 3X5 Index Card! A habit I have developed over the years; I can find it again when I want to harvest, clean, cook and eat! Another fun day with you guys! Weather is Overcast, rained overnight, cloudy, cool 62 F currently. Safe healing on your foot Jason, good job Nurse Nikki! Love the Aerial footage from the New Drone with Mic! Wow, nice tool/Toy. So much fun to journey with the Wynn's every Sunday! Stay safe, have a great week! Trudy
If you want to collect a lot Quickly you an use a rake pile them into a course sieve to sort out the small ones and wash off the mud by swirling them in water.. then stick them in a bucket.. One warning tip ... If your out on mud flats or sand banks hunting for cockles or welks keep a constant eye on the tides... In the UK there have been a number of fatalities with cockle pickers working head down and getting cut off by fast rising tides because they were not familiar with the area.
I’ve been loving your New Zealand series. I’m a New Zealander unable to head to my country of birth so what I’m enjoying mostly is your interaction with other New Zealanders, they all seem so funny, friendly and innocent. NZ govt say I can go home in March so hope to see you there, somewhere, then. If not you need to come to Australia where we have some of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world
If the two of you ever get to the west coast of Canada, you can collect geoducks. They are a large clam with a long windpipe that bury deep under beach sand. They give a good fight, but are delicious. Another thing to harvest if you are in Florida is sand fleas. They make a nice fry up.

Nothing like a fresh catch for a good meal! Nice video, guys!
You look great Nikki. I always love your smile and spirit.............be water my friend
When we were kids, we'd wear thin flat tennis shoes in the water to feel with our feet to find clams. Never go barefoot, to easy to really get cut bad. Do conkles taste like clams? I'm so happy to hear DJI took care of y'all. Love my DJI drone!
Your choice of music is great. Love to see you at sea!
You are nestled in a beautiful spot. Lucky. Nice recipe for the cockles.
There is an inherent joy in what you guys do. Thanks for bringing us along.
Congrats on your achievement. Halfway to a million. Enjoying your videos from SW Florida.
I see so many videos of all these sailors that don't wear shoes. I've even read it in books. But when I walk around my boat I see so many things that can screw up my feet. Definitely always wearing my deck shoes.
Wow congrats on 500k!! Super cool! Stay safe! Great episode as always!!
Love the cockle kerfuffle episode. Jason has to be a pain to live with because he is always happy and smiling....even when injured. BTW, the footage from the new drone is awesome!
Thanks for another Sunday smile.
Love the new camera equipment! It brings a whole new dimension!
Am I the only one that lives for the outtakes 😆 so funny!
If not you need to come to Australia where we have some of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world
Just 7 more boosters & they will let you in
500k! Hooray! Love watching your adventures.
If the two of you ever get to the west coast of Canada, you can collect geoducks. They are a large clam with a long windpipe that bury deep under beach sand. They give a good fight, but are delicious. Another thing to harvest if you are in Florida is sand fleas. They make a nice fry up.
Incredible! I SO LOVE that you all have been able to tap into a unique lifestyle that is still so extravagant!
