I’m only starting out trying to get seeds germinated. Another video I watched said to soak the seeds for 6 hours before placing them in moist cotton and stored away in a zip lock bag. (I’m assuming the bag and container are much the same but what about the soaking of the seeds? Does this need to be done? I’ve placed 2 batches (about 10 seeds each bag) away but the first lot are very shriveled and don’t look like good seeds but my son wanted to still try them. The second lot I’ve done look like these seeds but only just done them 2 days ago. I have 6 more seeds from today, I might try this way and see which one works best. Thanks for the video.
That’s great you’re experimenting! 🌱 Soaking helps with hard-coated seeds but isn’t always necessary. Shriveled seeds might be old, but your son’s curiosity is a win! Keep moisture balanced, and let me know which method works best. Happy growing!🌳🌼
@ ok so it turns out the both worked lol. I now have 14 seeds that have sprouted and are now in pots! Yay! The shriveled ones didn’t do anything except get mould on them but all the others, soaked for 6hrs some soaked for 2hrs then some not soaked at all but they all worked. My son is so excited. We are trying mango seeds now lol.
🙏🏼😊Hi please make a video again how long it grow before they have fruits in it can grew Leche on the pot most of us doesn't live in a warm climate like me I live in Illinois. Also, I live in an apartment so all my plants in the pot I have lemon tree and banana tree and some tropical plants in the spring, I grow vegetable in the pot and roses and different kind of flower😊
That sounds like an amazing indoor jungle you’ve got! 🌿🍋 Yes, lychee can be grown in a pot, but it’s a slow grower and needs warmth, so a sunny spot indoors is key. I’ll definitely consider making a video on how long it takes to fruit, though with lychee, patience is part of the adventure! 😄 Stay tuned, and happy growing! 🌳🌼
Good to know!🌼 Litchi is a sub-tropical fruit and thrives best under moist sub-tropical climate. It usually prefers low elevation and can be grown up to an altitude of 800 m. (m.s.l.). Deep, well drained loamy soil, rich in organic matter and having pH in the range of 5.0 to 7.0 is ideal for the crop. 🌳
I have a lychee plant grown from seed which is 5 years old. When can I expect it's fruit ? I am from Goa.Are weather conditions conducive here for fruiting?Pls reply.
Keep the soil consistently moist, not waterlogged. Water once every 1-2 days, depending on the weather and how quickly the soil dries out. Check the topsoil, if it starts to feel dry to the touch, it's time to water.🌼🌳
I have soaked and planted 20 seeds almost 2 weeks ago and only one germinated and attained vegetative flush properly other seed bud swelled turn green Weather other seeds will germinate or not , if yes then how much time it gonna take and how can i accelerate the germination speed.
I guess sandy soil is perhaps best acidic soil for growing litchi plants as is mentioned in Google. I am also growing orange, lemon and apple seeds in one big container together
For lychee seeds with drying leaves, check for: 1.Overwatering or Poor Drainage: Ensure the soil drains well. 2.High Temperatures: Protect from intense heat or direct sunlight. 3.Nutrient Deficiency: Use a balanced fertilizer. 4.Pests or Diseases: Inspect for pests or fungal issues. Adjust care based on these factors.🌼
It is Lychee plant. Lychee seeds germinate quickly, taking only about ten days. However, you will have to wait at least five years before the tree produces fruit.🌳
After putting the seeds in a paper towel, put them anywhere indoors. Just keep them away from the sunlight. And i used cocopeat (coconut husk powder) for planting🌼
I set them outside, but not where direct sunlight will fall on them. Nights here are not cold, so seedlings can stay out overnight. After a couple of days, gradually introduce direct sunlight🌞🌱
Why you guys never write what you guys use ? Like what type of soil. Or the red liquid you guys give it to the plant. How do we know what you guys are using. All I know is the eggs water onions. What is the green one you guys put in the water or that red pinkish liquids one you guys used?
Don't worry, Keep adding fertilizer after every 10 days and if the pot is small transfer the plant into bigger pot and make sure the soil is not too slushy nor too hard. Keep the soil moisten at all times for Lychee plants and they need full sun to increase their growth.
