My litchi tree was about 30cm tall, it was planted on the ground amongst other plants in my flower garden. A new Gardener ripped it out, threw it away with weeds and was taken away with rubbish. He said he thought it was a weed amongst the flowers. That was 2 years ago i think it would have grown much bigger now. Ive planted quite a few seeds hope they'll germinate. From SA .
This is one of the most charming channels I've ever come across! The golden watering can reminds me of Animal Crossing. I subscribed! Also in China we say lychee as "Li zhi" or 荔枝,which is most closely pronounced in English as "li jih"
Thank you so much! And welcome to the channel :). So many people from diferent countries have commented on this, but I think you are the first from China :). I will remember Li zhi 😊
I was born in China, but I moved to the United States when I was a child! I live in Southern California now. Really enjoying the channel, I think I've seen every video now! I actually got a little golden watering can too after I saw yours 😂
I live in Mexico, and I planted my liche (that's how we call it in here) in mid July 2021. It has grown very well, its height around 70 cm by now. Choose the first method directly into the soil of a medium pot. At first thought it won't grow anything at all. But almost after 2 months it started to grow. Had already repotted it into a huge pot, the weather is great in here, but since I live in an apartment I can't planted it in my "concrete" garden lol. I do hope to see more of your progress of your liche, and best of luck pal!
Hi, thank you for sharing! 😊 Impressive growth, I look forward to see my grow so tall. But I will have to give them bigger pots soon too I think. Thank you, and good luck to you too!
I'm from Sweden to but the problem is we can't planting out side because of the cold weather 😕 but I have 3 mango plant and 1 passion fruit in my balkon and thy looks good 👍 and I like your video keep going 👌
Omg you have been posting I thought I was subscribed with the bell but I guess not the pine tree is looking so good!! And also its bin over a year since you did a mango tree update recently I also started growing a mango seed myself
Hey, Im glad ur back! :). Oops, I kinda forgot about the mangoes, they have been struggeling a bit. I will post more soon, I hane been very busy with moving to a house recently.
I live in the western US and planted some lychee (I’ve heard it both ways 😅) in my apartment in cactus soil about 2 months ago and my seedlings are about 3 inches tall now! I wasn’t expecting them to do so well. I keep them very wet (about 7/10 on my moisture meter) and keep them next to my window and will until winter comes and use a grow light.
I’m from Hong Kong and I always love the lichee fruit ( lie chi ) if pronounced phonetically ive just got some lichee seeds from a seller on eBay I soaked them in water to hydrate them then put them in a pot with the lichee seeds on their side and watered them in so I hope they do well in a Irish climate
❤🎉 hello from Greece! I'm trying to sprout some lychee seeds. I use some aloe Vera gel in the hydration of the seeds. I found out that it helps all sprouting seeds. Oh! Pls check for our winter melons at Evros north of Greece they will thrive there at your region. And a small tip for your avocado tree sometimes you need to cut some high long branches in order to be strong enough to grow fruits. And check the moisture in the room and the soil Ph. Love your channel.
Hello! Cool method! Do you put aloe vera on the seeds and then plant them in soil, or germinate in a bad/container? I have never actually measured soil ph, I think I should start doing that for best health. Thank you! 🙏
I plant lichi in a pot last 2022 december and 2023 december i but it in the soi unfortunately just dies .iam so said cause i try so many time but it didn't survive .
@user-tv3fo4jd9i Aww, I feel sorry for you. But keep trying! Did they run out of water maybe? I think Lichi are extra vulnable for drying out in my experience.
I once tried the Lychee myself some years ago. My plant also made those reddish yellow new leaves but when they matured they turned dark green. Sadly the plant didn't live too long. It was about the size of the bigger one you have. I guess the nordic winter conditions in an apartment with dry air and insufficient lighting was too much for it. In Finnish we call it litsi.
Thank you for sharing your experience! It helps. I will have to give them some extra light when winter comes :). And also, sorry for your loss, but for each plant we loose, we also tend to learn a thing or two hopefully.
I left mine in a glass of water outside wich was 90f out and forgot it for a week. I got 1 of the 2 in the glass with roots the other was just bigger. I planted bolth and bolth grew.
Maybe I will 😊. I am thinking about making a growing guide based on the things that works for me, but it will take a while before I have enough material for it.
Hi! How often do you water it in this early stage? Before it grows a little above the soil? (And after too, I am really bad with watering, i do too much or too little everty time!🥹) Thank you!❤
Hello! Before it starts to grow, it needs very little water, BUT it needs moist soil. So water often, but with just a little dose. Maybe every 2-3 days. When it grows a bit, the same applies but maybe 3-4 days. This is just an estimate, it all depends on heat, sun, size of pot, size of plant. You have to try and see what works 😊. Thank you for watching!

2 Year update: ruclips.net/video/UzTS-5tTFjM/видео.html
stratification isn't necessary though
It seems like it isn’t 😊. I still like this method, because it’s easier to see which seeds start to grow. And it’s low maintenence while waiting 😀
God Bless You Brother

I live Jamaica and I plant a lychee tree eleven years now and the is very beautiful and it never flowers
Wow 11 years, really nice! I hope it will flower one day 😊
I am from Arizona a hot dry state in the USA can this lychee tree grow here??
I don’t possess such knowledge I am afraid. But you can always try! Just make sure to keep it watered, as they seem to try out fast if you forget 😊
What kind of Soil and water are you using? I tried to grow them but they died and the leaves got brown tips and new one curled and died fast
I use citrus soil and normal tap water. I dont know why your plants died, sorry 😢
