What kind of bikes would you like to see us outfit next?
TwistedThrottle.com hey nice video!! I had a question, I just got a rebel 300 I notice the vin number are 000001 it's the first model of the Year, now my question are : is my rebel 300 collectible??? thanks
Harley-Davidson sportster 48
A beginner bike (commuter) , just like this one, but for taller riders (6'2"") 27inche base ain't gonna cut it Jim
The NC750X that arrives at last to the U.S. will require a bit of sexying it up. It has strong potential but comes kinda lackluster out of the box.
xsr900!
You really need to stop calling it a beginner bike. It's a budget entry level bike. Not everyone who wants to ride it need be a beginner. Some of us are just looking for a "good value" bike.
WICKEDLEE LOOPY exactly! And what more important is that there’s no girls bike either...they simply don’t exist.
No girls bikes? Most females older than 16 are between 4 foot 10 and 5 foot 6. This bike is the PERFECT size for them. My elderly mother is 5 foot 3 inches and can easily sit on this with both feet comfortably in the right riding stance on this bike. I'd have to adjust the handle bars turning them inward to complete that comfort, but I did that for me anyways.
I'm a 5 foot 9" tall male with a 31" leg inseam and I feel alittle cramp on this bike ( I've owned it for a week now, the 300 that is 2017) and would love to move the heel rests on both sides, the gear selector and the rear brake pedal forward a good 2.5 to 3.5 inches for better comfort. My legs are always bent at or slightly more than 95 degrees easily when I get settled.
tpcs if it has a very low seat still doesn’t mean that is a girls bike, men with shorts legs exist too, and that the beauty of the cruisers, they accommodate a wide range of people, the only cruisers which are underrated IMO and have a tall seat 30 to 31 inches are the motoguzzi.
ripmax333 love this comment. i'm 4'9 and this is the bike i want
Motoryzen besides height though there is no such thing as a girl or boy bike. we ride what we want to ride. saying girl bike as a put down is wrong.
Bought this motorcycle 2 days ago. best decision ever. Gonna get that wind screen though.
Hey Rene, you've made a great investment, the Rebel is a hell of a lot of fun, and the windscreen will do wonders for you. Here's a link to the windshield itself goo.gl/iHgVvP and here is a link to the mounting hardware kit goo.gl/YFB653 . If you have any further questions don't hesitate to reach out either here or through our site. Happy riding! 🏍️
Is that the right link for the shield? In the vid you say its the MRA classic, this link is to the MRA Universal?
The white tires with red strip, SWEEEEEEEET! 👍👍👍
Great looking custom touches. I'd almost forgotten about white wall tires. They do pop with the red trim.
White walls really stand out these days!
Ordered that windscreen and mount. I love the 500. It’s my 3rd bike, but my first new one. I’m liking those extra lights you added also, might think about picking those up at some point. Thanks for the video!
I have rode for well over 40 years and I am considering getting this bike for the ergo-metrics. I am 6ft and just love the positioning. I plan to buy the 2019 when the orange comes out. You can mod this bike very easily and in all sorts of ways. Its easy and fun to get on which means it will be ridden. Seems like a good side bike to me.
I'm 6ft1-2 so I think i'd put some clipons and forward controls on there for extra comfort and wind protection along with a fun aggressive stance.
This video convinced me... pulling the trigger and buying this motorcycle.
Mr. Zlic We think you’ve made a very wise decision sir 👍🏻👍🏻 Give us a buzz when you start making it your own 👌🏻
I think I’m with you. Too many features and aftermarket upgrades to ignore it at this price point.
Fortnines video is actually the video that convinced me. I'm having to save up for probably two more months.. Hoping to get a deal during the winter.
But yea, a new bike at 6k is crazy. Id rather spend more money on aftermarket than factory upgrades.
This bike is also good for older riders that have difficulty handling a big, heavy bike. Especially if you have arthritis, knee and hip issues, generalized weakness, etc.
If you have neuropathy, make sure your legs aren't touching hot spots, especially on the lower right side of a Rebel. There's a part that protrudes a bit too much on the right near the foot pedal.
These accessories on the Rebel make it look so good. I need this in my life now.
How does that bike look now? Although it's probably long gone 🤔
damn im still in the research faze of deciding on a bike but with the windscreen updated and the pouch at the front of the bike the honda might be a winner, instead of the bag you attached to the back i found a great pair of saddlebags that fit this bike, cant wait to get my licence and enjoy evening rides
Salve ,complimenti per la recensione e per gli articoli proposti per la Rebel. Se possibile vorrei sapere il codice del parabrezza della, Mra. Grazie
Great suggestions. I humbly suggest that the exhaust is easy to replace, there are several options out there that a. sound better (and that's good for safety too) b. look much better and c. free some space to add roomy saddle bags (maybe pushing the blinkers further back too). Yeah, I tried the Rebel 500, it does feel small for a 5'10+ person but properly outfitted, it is a sweet bike that won't break the bank to buy, fuel, maintain and insure. What's not to like here...? Good video, thanks, keep 'em coming.
Thanks for watching! 🏍️
Late response but I am considering this bike and am also 5'10. Did you end up going with the 500 or did you get something else? If so, what was it and how does it suit your height? Thanks
Hi @@neilisalive4892, I haven't got a Rebel yet. I wouldn't pay full price for it, my getting it is conditioned to my dealer friend to get a used one back that I would get for a very low price in order to help him promote it. I would customize the HELL out of it. It is small as it is, no doubt about that, and if indeed I end up getting one, I would push it towards an offroad-friendly mini-cruiser with taller suspensions, a much better seat FOR SURE, and a variety of accessories over time. To me, it is barely rideable, and to be perfectly frank, uninteresting from factory. It is a solid and reliable canvas to create something to match ourselves, that's how I see it. For now I am still super happy on my Sportster, and another Honday (Aero 1100).
BEST OF LUCK to you.
Respectful Revolution Awesome, thank you so much for the response!
Is there a belt drive conversion kit for the Rebel 500 and the Vulcan S 650 ?
You know how you can put a passenger seat and little sissy bar on the Rebel (and other bikes)?
You should make a thick wire basketed platform that will fit that same spot. Something that will carry a backpack or groceries. Make it with metal pipes that will expand and contract to fit the item and has places for straps.
The make one now that's flat but it's tiny. It's basically worthless.
Don’t remember the year of my first bike but depending on “first bike” my father gave me a Honda 70cc thing at 7 I road around the yard but when I was 9 he came home with a Kawasaki KX175 told me to get on and follow him if I was still behind him when we got got home the bike was mine.
Now the first bike titled in my name was a 1985 Yamaha virago 700 I bought at 19 just a few months after my KX died
I just got my first bike a 2019 rebel 500. I already installed the dr1 lights and love them. Would i need new screws for the battery to install the soundbomb horn? With the stock screws on the battery i wasn't able to install a battery charger and the lights. Is there some where else to hook the horn to? I love this set up and plan to do something very similar.
Please, What about the tyres? Size, factory, price,...?
metzeler me888. I don't know what size they have. About 150$ U.S. for each tire.
that's a great setup!!
What size tyre did you go with the rear? The white walls really set it off!
How comfortable is this bike if I had a pillion on?
Any comments on that please?
Would be nice if you could get a new chain/sprocket set.
Looks good !
This is a great video! Would love to see some recommendations for replacement LED tail lights to go with those additional Denali lights you all added to the front if the bike.

Can u please tell me how you put the bag on the back? How did you fix it? Got this bag yesterday and I still don't get it 🙈
Hey Julia. You can use the supplied straps to loop around any point on the motorcycle (rack, frame, subframe, etc.) and then run the buckle end through the webbing on the bag. Check the SW Motech link below to see another video that might help!
ruclips.net/video/RftXVbQPvJA/видео.html
Very nice. What was the cost of these upgrades?
I agree with other comment concerning beginner bike. It's REALLY not a beginner bike. I like this bike. I'm thinking of purchasing before the end of the year in hope of getting a good deal. If I purchase, it'll be the only bike I'll ever buy, until I wear it out. From what I've read, it has enough pop for interstate. Primarily, my riding would be the countryside. The cost is right on. I'm sure the lower power will result in lower insurance. Other than beginner bike comment, GREAT review. One question though. Can I purchase after market handlebars that won't result in me leaning so much into the bike? Or will the effects of the wind offset the feeling that I'm forever reaching out? THANK YOU!
Cuando llega a Mexico, la honda rebe 500 cc?
What color is the windshield? Clear, Smoke Grey, or Black? I notice the site has 4 colors. I'm not sure if it's clear or smoke.
This one is smoke! Dark color but still see through.
hey awesome video! On the windscreen I'm trying to get one and they are out of stock till the 18th, but which mounting kit do I get? Is it 1inch cause my handle bars are 1 inch?
Hey, next time it would be nice to show the upgraded lights in the dark + sound the upgraded horn for potential buyers
Hey PainandMurphyJo,
We appreciate your feedback, we do our best to illustrate all upgrades to entice new customers. In this case, while we don't have any footage of the pieces mounted on the Rebel 500, we have alternative videos that do illustrate the effectiveness of both parts you mentioned. We encourage you, as well as anyone else who is interested to check them out below:

Went to order the MRA shield but no option in the list of bikes for my 2019 Honda rebel 300...which one should I choose?
I'm looking at he mra roadshield classic on your site says out of stock :(
Great choices of accessories for the bike! I’m considering getting this as a 2nd bike made for cruising the city. I live in a hot all year round place. Would you say this bike over heats quick?
Louis Mai the new rebel is liquid cooled so there shouldn't be a problem with overheating. I can commute almost full throttle for 30 minutes in 90 degree weather. When I shut it off it makes the typical metallic clinking noise of an engine cooling down and smells a bit warm but never overheats resulting in engine failure or sensors going off.
I wish there was a How-to guide for installing those auxiliary lights. Been looking to add it but just don't know how to :(
Hi there, while we don't have an installation video specifically for the Rebel 500, we've actually created a couple of How-to's on the DENALI 2.0 lights, including an installation on the KTM 990 (available here: ruclips.net/video/UBujhRyYZmw/видео.html) as well as on a KLR 650 (available here: ruclips.net/video/t9wY9lnWLUw/видео.html) Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
How did you mount that sound bomb? Looking to add one to my rebel.
You can shop by bike to find it on our website. Here is a quick link to the options.

Is there a good picture of it? It’s looks amazing.
Hey there! We actually wrote a whole blog (with pictures) about this bike. Check it out here: goo.gl/JQbDoY
Thank you very much
I’m 6’3. I feel like I’m too tall for this bike but man is it nice
sorry friend, yes this bike is for people around 5.5 maybe 6. you should take a look to vulcan s. if i were taller i would choose that, in my case honda rebel 500 is perfect cuz im 5.8. take care!
What helmet are you using?
cool, cool again, cool everywhere
Great Intro! My story EXACTLY!
what tires are those?
Can you add underglow to this bike. Because if you could that would be amazing. Im going to buy this bike no matter what!!
Go to www.tackybikeaccessories.com
Bigger Gas tank please
Could be interesting to see the new BMW G310R turn into a cruiser R-Nine-T style :)
YES !!!! Since Asia leads the motorcycle market now (while the U.S. market dies slowly, MOST UNFORTUNATELY), we are going to see more and more super sexy smaller displacement motorcycles like Benelli's Leoncino.
Front pouch doesn't restrict some of the airflow to the radiator?
We have it mounted so that it does not block direct wind flow to the radiator. We did not notice any issues with temperature after installing. If anything, the slightly smaller opening funnels air into the radiator even more!
@@twistedthrottle-- thanks fr the reply 🤙
lights are nice went to look at the prices holy shite $600+ aud

What mounting hardware does the rebel need for the wind screen?
Hey Jackchase79,
You will need the universal mounting kit as there is not a bike specific mount available for the Rebel.

TwistedThrottle.com thank you so much
Is the windscreen colour shown the smoke grey? Thank you;
Yes, it is! Happy Riding
Does anyone know the mounting kit for the mra roadshield ?
You can use the universal kit, available in the drop down menu when ordering.
www.twistedthrottle.com/mra-roadshield-classic-style-roc-universal-windshield-for-naked-sport-bikes-cruisers-enduro-and-dual-sport-motorcycles
which MRA roadshield mounting kit did you use?
Hey Nick,
You can just use the universal mounting arms. There is not a bike specific mounting kit for this bike.

when getting the windscreen what size mm mount should i get for handlebars
Hey there Ace Cat! You should grab yourself a 22mm mount for your windscreen. That's assuming that you're still using the stock handlebars. Here's a link to the product on our site: www.twistedthrottle.com/mra-roadshield-classic-style-roc-universal-windshield-for-naked-sport-bikes-cruisers-enduro-and-dual-sport-motorcycles Happy Riding!

Hey Kenneth, sorry we didn't give you a sneak peak of the horn, but you can check it out here in our soundbomb review video: ruclips.net/video/bqgM8Z5RI38/видео.html
Would you recommend this bike for a guy who is 6ft 200lbs?
Vitus Pinto yes
Good job! :)
Do you have any skid plates for it? Good for the wife to go on fire roads!
Hey Tim,
None of our brands manufacture a skid plate for this bike, but if anything does come along we will get it up on our website ASAP. You might check out Skunkwerks Moto Fabrication for a custom plate. They do great work!
If it says Germany on it, buy it, all there is to say lol. All my top notch Vehicles, tools and devices all have the lovely German build quality. Shit, my modded Audi is ticking past 270,000 miles this year on the original engine! Back to the point, lovely Bike, I love my Honda. Looking to get one for the lady as a first bike.
I've noticed and I'm unsure why to be honest. Although most German machinery requires specific fluids and weights of liquids. If you follow the strict routines they live forever. Treat it like a Honda and well, it dies. Lol.
Traz para o brasil,Brasileño, Brasil, Brasileño
If i were to buy this slim, lightweight and nimble bike the last thing i would want it to make it look clunky in the front with that windshield and the extra lights. The white wall tires look good, the red rimstipe does not imo. And if that horn is compact then i don't want to see the non compact variant of it.
That 500 motor is solid. Like a sewing machine.
Can I see a show of hands? Who's gonna put their phone and wallet in that tool pouch on the forks?
the honda windscreens look so bad
horn ??? waste money only, i no has newer need horn and i has drive bike and car last 50 year
Car drivers often don't see bikes and sometimes swerve into their lane unintentionally or back into them. You need a horn to warn them because yelling is poorly effective. For bikers, horns are a safety feature. Bikers don't toot their horns just for fun (most).
@@wakkywabbit5446 yes law say horn must be in car, but train air horn have big big idiot idea, not newer sure need and NOT have fun, only show how stupid idiot car owner and builder have, and all normal peoples laugh lot how stupid children drive car.
Yeah, choosing tires by look and not function is sound advice. Smh
Ruined the beautiful black tire aesthetic with white stripes :V
This was stupid asf
I’m 5’6” is it too small for me?
hey! i am 5.6 ft too and NO. it is not small for us.maybe for people taller than us yes but i have seen it on the street few days ago and it is such an amazing bike. i dont like big fat and heavy motorcycles but do love bobber`s ! and this honda rebel is perfect for me. i will get the new model 2020 blue methalic in a few weeks ! they said that in march we can order it so, can`t wait! and there are a lot of improvements in the new one. just perfect!
sergiu ulici Thanks, I’m considering buying it also, looks good, and I’m a beginner, never rode motorbike before. However, I’m a bicyclist, I’m certain it won’t be too difficult to learn
@@bbjagaa In the US, you will need to take a class to get your bike license. You can't get a license if you don't know how to ride. You can't ride the bike home without a license and proof of insurance.
Or, you will need someone to teach you.
In my state, if you take the class, you bypass the test if you get your completion card. The basic rider class supplies the motorcycle. Take the card to the DMV and you get your license.
Check your state's requirements. In my state, Harley and several other places give classes. Harley has classes 6 days a week.
@@bbjagaa No, you're about perfect height for this bike.
