My older siblings went to the neighborhood public high school. They are 8 and 5 years older than me.
By the time it was my time to start high school, he sat me down and explained what the Reagan Administration was doing to our educational system and refused to allow me to go to public school with all of my friends. Instead, I had no choice but to take the entrance exams to the 3 private schools in the city.
Since then, I’ve watched more and more money and resources be stripped from the system while watching how collectively ignorant this society has become.
Make no mistake….this is the Confederacy under a new name and now with the internet at its disposal.

Very well said, but charter schools only cost more damage because it took from the already scarce budget of the public schools. I too went to a private school, but the curriculum no matter if it’s public or private is all trash, you know because it’s still under the cusp of the same system at least I got some good religious teachings but the rest is rubbish

Whoever the president is, he/she can't pass laws without congress. The majority of the congress already said that they will vote against what he tried to pass. When people vote, they need to also vote for congress and local politicians who are for us, not only the president.

Just wrote a response a few days ago on Dr. Umar video of him telling his viewers not to vote Democrat because he said Biden has failed black people since being elected, I commented that the majority of black's willfully opt out of voting in mid term elections where our voters are desperately needed, we only want to show up every 4 years to vote for a president, or complain the reason why we're not voting this needs to change, if we want to make change we have to be willing to participate in the election process in this country for the betterment of our people, we have to take some accountability for the part we ourselves have contributed to our own shortcomings, we have those out here publicly speaking foolishly that our votes are useless which is farsest from the truth, especially given the way they the Republicans keep trying to make voting harder for black people in this country.. I'm a proud resident of Montgomery, AL and I'm here to inform all of you that as long as Brian Stevenson has breath in his lungs our history will never be vanquished. He's established a living history here in Montgomery that will be an everlasting testament to the brutality of slavery and bulwark to all the diabolical and insidious attempts to erase it's cruel and devastating impact. To this end, his organization, The Equal Justice Initiative headquartered here in Montgomery has been developing monuments and parks that will ensure this past is never forgotten. His organization is scheduled to open another park in the Spring 2024 that will further capture this history. It's already the 2nd most visited site in Alabama.
I don't think it's going to take nearly 50 years. I think if we don't actively fight this, we're going to see it really soon.

Based on what is discussed here and what I have learned, I feel Black people and immigrants should be voting for President Biden to sustain Democracy. Of course, other people need to do the same. The two groups I identified should overwhelmingly vote for Democrats up and down the ballot. We have the most to lose.😮

Karen, I tune into your show everyday and I'm a subscriber to your youtube channel as well. Today's discussion was very important on so many levels. I was born in 1957 and I remember growing up in complete segregation. I remember white folks moving out of the city as soon as we started moving in. Quoting lyrics from the song "Ball of Confusion", "people moving out... people moving in... why, because of the color of their skin, Run, run, run, but you sure can't hide"... I'll never forget that I had to fight for everything that I achieved. Nothing came easy. So many of us are walking around with our heads in the sand thinking that we live in a world where we aren't judged by the color of our skin, but by the content of our character, We are falling for the okie-doke family!!! Each one, teach one ... WAKE UP!!!

Racism is nothing new, how we treat one another fairly is what people see today, and clearly Blacks are disfranchise, and still treated differently than any other peoples that I've seen, and I've been around over 7 decades.

True history must be known and taught globally
Other cultures have their own educational methods. They don't count on our educational system to teach themselves about themselves. When I was in school the Jewish and chinese kids that went to my school had to go to Hebrew school or Chinese school in addition to regular school. They learned who they were so they had a good sense of self. Why do we have to only learn at our regular schools? We need our own standard ways to keep our history and culture alive and respected by ourselves first. When we know everyone else will know.
Preach. All my Jewish and Chinese classmates attended Hebrew and Mandarin classes after our public school classes. Their parents insisted on it to preserve their culture and inner pride. I wish we did the same.

It's also in Michigan. I drive from my home right outside of Detroit to Traveler City Michigan which is about 3 hours away. I saw so many flags up and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I have lived in Michigan all my life and has never felt like that.
There are Racist people in every state in this country!
Once you get north of Saginaw, Michigan, you are in Bandits country. The flag issue does not surprise me. People have to pay attention to current events.
When I went to Chicago over the holidays to visit with family, those were the grievances that I heard. They kept talking about the assistance they "heard" that the migrants were getting, and they kept bringing it back to, "but what about the people who are already here?"
And I tried to educate them a little about how, and why things were happening, but all they know is somebody else got what they feel they should have received, and I just left there drained, because I knew no matter what facts I presented, they weren't trying to hear em.

There's one major flaw truth will always rise to the top 🔝
The notion that a group of deeply entrenched racists could put strategies in place to erase a history that we should stand unrelenting guard over seems tragic on so many levels. If we are not protecting the legacy of our ancestors, our truth, our children and their children's children, then what pray tell are we doing? If our vote is resulting in the same incessant devaluing of our humanity then it's time to change the dynamic altogether!
The trick is that we need to have high numbers for it to work. Since Republicans are showing that they want to destroy us, then Democrats are the way to vote.
If we keep President Biden and rule the House and Senate with high numbers, Black people would be able to pretty much get what they want. Everyone must vote the same way, and in order for it to work, it should be for Democrats, the right ones, and in very large numbers!
When you really look around, the republicans are trying to get rid of Black people.
We need to come up with our coded language and not share it with people who have no interest in our well-being. This is why the foreigners who come over and surpass African-American Japanese Americans have their own language. Latino and Latinas have a language that they can communicate in, that this monolingual society doesn't always understand...

Police were driving around recording themselves throwing drinks on innocent people, and sharing/announcing it to other officers for years. Two of them were arrested, but the rest of the department who’s still patrolling the streets knew and did nothing for years. One of those same officers was using the police database to stalk and harass women

What was discussed in this video about traveling is enlightening. There are preponderance of small MAGA towns which will make traveling more difficult between big urban cities. The small discussion ,about The Karen Hunter show being open to all Black , white etc.was on point..But what I've been thinking about lately is what is a white alley ..a couple of years ago every one was talking about white allyship ..but that seems to have died down a lots..
