Pretty much this and I'm happy that they removed those stupid puddles. If there are puddles like that on the track, you aren't racing precisely because of the hydroplaning which leads to crashing. Light rain is all you should be racing in otherwise the race is cancelled.
Also hydroplaning is not as pronounced on wide tires as it is on thinner street tires. The greater tire surface area creates for contact and tension with the water and is less likely to skip along the top. I think trying to make realistic puddles right now is almost impossible. Too many variables to consider. Speed, weight, downforce, tire width, approach angle, ride height, spring stiffness, caster angle, weight distribution etc. will all play a factor in if or when the vehicle hydroplanes.

well to be fair you're picking some of the worst models in forza that were ported up all the way back from fm2 on purpose to make pc2 look better in contrast. Pcars look decent, but the lighting model is showing its age. everything looks kinda... fake. as does the forza cars lighting during the day. idk why they messed up that bad.
but FM is still a disappointment. i think horizon 5 looks far better in almost every way. And 6 years for this? inexcusable. This feels like an yearly release, and even for that it's a bit shit. Considering the age gap, forza should be better (graphically) at everything, and it clearly isn't.
As you mentioned, the 2023 game has models from all the way back to FM2 (and not really updated) hence a fair comparison, Not my problem!
That aside you are right; Horizon 5 is graphically well done compared to this and the 6 years are inexcusable, and Forza Motorsport 2023 newest models are actually fine and have cool modeled engines but more is to expect from such company as Turn 10.
Those models shouldnt exist in a game that was claimed to be "built from the ground up" in the first place.
Not really. It’s a good game with good physics and mp. Most of the models are new/accurate and the graphics are fine, just not “over saturated” like gt7 in some cases
@@fifteen8850 it's not a desaturarion issue tbh, goes beyond that.
@@fifteen8850 bro Microsoft isnt gonna give you any free shit, its ok to admit the game is hot garbage for a 2023 release
Assetto Corsa modded put those games to shame.
Modded
Mods can make any game look better, mods makes a comparison invalid by default.
hahaha 0:26
Pc2 was literally unplayable on gamepad when i got it. As in it would not react to the input of the analogue stick thus i could never steer the car. Pc2 can suck my nuts i paid full price and its the only game ive never been able to play.
PC2 isn't really a game for Gamepad, it leans more towards simulation. PC3 did a better job on that.
The base consoles last gen couldn't handle it, it's much better on the new consoles. If you stick to the cockpit cam, have stability control on, it's fine on a pad.
Yeah gamepad it was horrible, however you can find settings from other people to make your gamepad experience much better, I’ve found some and it has made the game much more enjoyable.
@@worldwar1424 Bizarrely I found turning TC off or having it on low solved most of my issues. I would tune cars and think they're great but would spin out at the same corners, and I think it's the way TC works when you touch some curbs.
The problem with project cars 2 was the default setups were totally wrong in some areas and having the tires set to “automated by weather” almost always puts you on the wrong tires.
*Forza MotorSports Graphics to minimum VS Project Cars Graphics pushed to maximum. Be honest. I play FMS8 and it doesn't look shit like that.
You just admitted maxxed out Forza looks like ****** 🤭, does the old game really make Forza look that bad...?
It looks shit bro, I'm playing forza motorsport 8 maxed out on my RTX 4070, and it looks really bad. Especially when Ray Tracing is turned on, for some reason Ray Tracing makes it too blurry, and you can't really even see any raytracing except a bit better reflections on the car.
@@djordjestojkovic9381 that's abnormal cause I play on 4080 RTX full ultra and it looks great. Sometimes it even looks real. I was surprised when I started playing Fms8 cause I watched several gameplay ans reviews before buying and all of them showed things like in this video while it's not what I have on my screen everyday.
@@KonTurboR yes on your video it looks like absolute shit. But it actually looks very different on my pc.
@@AntiKolabo77 That's Forza Horizon 5 the copy you have then.
Your forza looks like it’s in lowest quality 🤦♂️

Project cars 2 was never a good looking game either, so sad forza looks this awful
Idk man, it was pretty Ight
Forza motorsports is a sim-cade racing game. I LOVE FORZA's ...but it was a major let down. Nothing like they claimed it was gonna be.
PC2 🏌♀FM2023
If only they not messing up with Project Cars 3 🥲
PC2 looks very dated but Forza is also extremely underwhelming graphically.
