- The Dynamic Paint Effect can be used for many fun visual effects.
But the one is the video is my favorite!
Here are some additional tips
Dynamic Paint is a powerful feature in Blender that allows you to simulate dynamic effects like paint spreading, water ripples, or wetness. Here are some tips for using Dynamic Paint effectively:
Understand Brush and Canvas: In Dynamic Paint, you have a Brush object and a Canvas object. The Brush is what interacts with the Canvas to create dynamic effects. The Canvas is the surface that receives the paint or dynamic effect. Understand how these two elements work together to achieve your desired result.
Experiment with Brush Settings: Adjust the settings of the Brush object to control how it interacts with the Canvas. You can tweak parameters such as brush radius, strength, falloff, and texture to achieve different effects. Experimentation is key to understanding how these settings affect the outcome.
Use Different Brush Types: Blender offers various Brush types, such as Brush, Weight, and Image Sequence. Each type has its own unique capabilities and uses. For example, the Weight Brush can be used to influence vertex weights for rigging or simulations.
Animate Brush Properties: You can animate the properties of the Brush object over time to create dynamic effects. For example, you could animate the strength of the brush to simulate paint drying or water spreading.
Utilize Texture Brushes: You can use textures to control the behavior of the Brush object. This allows for more complex and detailed effects. Experiment with different textures and blending modes to achieve the desired result.
Combine with Particle Systems: Dynamic Paint can be combined with Blender's particle systems to create even more complex effects. For example, you could use Dynamic Paint to simulate paint spreading on a surface and then emit particles from the painted areas.
Optimize Performance: Dynamic Paint simulations can be computationally intensive, especially for complex scenes. Adjust the resolution and other settings to optimize performance while still achieving the desired level of detail.
Consider Baking: Once you're happy with your Dynamic Paint setup, consider baking the simulation to cache the results. This can improve playback performance and allow for more precise control over the animation.
Explore Creative Applications: Think outside the box and explore creative ways to use Dynamic Paint in your projects. It's not just limited to simulating paint; you can use it for effects like footprints in the sand, revealing hidden objects, or even creating custom shaders.
Tutorials and Documentation: Take advantage of tutorials and documentation available online to learn more about Dynamic Paint and how to use it effectively. There are plenty of resources out there that can help you master this feature.
By following these tips and experimenting with Dynamic Paint in Blender, you can create stunning dynamic effects to enhance your animations and simulations.

Part 2 is coming soon. Cheers!
Great piece of tutorial
Great Piece of Phil Flock Cinema 👍
Great piece of Cinema as always
Awesome! I'll try it once I get home!
Du hast eine tolle Art zu erklären.😊😊😊
wooow. such a cool effect!
Creeeepy!
Nice😎
Wowow wow
I tried this tutorial it's amazing
Have you had any problems?
My blender crash 2 times
But third tried it's done
@@Minecrafter37745 Mine also crashed a few times.
i have a 4090 and my viewport playback animation is so slow like 1 FPS, what kind of specs do you have??
Is it your noise threshold. Maybe it's too high?
But when I use cycles viewport it's very slow for me as well.
@@PhilFlock it’s the same in eevee and cycles and i have a amd 7950x/ram 98gb/gtx4090
Are you talking about the noise threshold when you activate cycles? I changed it many times but still not even close to your viewport playback :/
@@waleeza you're saying eevee is just as slow?
yes both eevee and cycles are taking so much time to play the simulation and baking it was like 40 minutes, it would be nice if you do a video of how to optimise your viewport/renders someday @@PhilFlock
@@waleeza there might be something wrong with your computer. Check out my blender beginner tutorial. That might help you with your settings. But I'm definitely not an expert on computers
