I’ve had great results using terial magic as stabilizer and I use quilters dream bamboo as the batting. When they are washed all the stabilizer washes out and the bamboo is light and has a delicate hand. They quilt up beautifully as well. I custom quilt them.
The terial magic is somewhat expensive but so long as the shirt isn’t threadbare,it’s an ideal product for the final result. Initially I was hoping it would make stabilizing less time consuming. But that was not a realistic expectation. However, after making an 80”x 110” quilt and have it drape like a dream and was so much lighter than my previous large quilts with added stabilizer, it’s worth it to me.
Thank you for the helpful cutting instructions!

Thank you! I’ve started using the heat press to put the stabilizer on and it’s so much easier!!!! I haven’t tried the bamboo batting. But I love the idea- definitely trying it.

Thank you for knowing that it hard to cut up some of these clothes. I make baby memory quilts, but I am trying to start my son's. He passed away in 2020. I want to use as much of his clothes as I can, so not wasting any

I use every scrap! I make little prayer quilts until it’s all used up!
