The ending of this song touches me. As somebody who just in general has been going through shit, music like this reminds me what I love in this world and keeps me going. No matter what I lose in life, I will always have music to heal my soul. When I forget what it means to be happy I turn to music like this and that’s reason enough for me to keep on keeping on.
The first song I heard Lzzy sing was Love Bites. Shivers ran down my spine! She has the finest female rock voice I have ever heard. Her power, range and elocution are phenomenal! She can sing or scream the same note! The fast paced songs, her sexy, confident, assertive, look you in the eye performance, all backed by good hard rock. Kudos!
Loves Bites is my personal favourite song from Halestorm, but that Judas Priest cover Dissident Aggressor sounds damn good aswell! and this album is soo awesome too!!
Lzzy and Halestorm are awesome, but as awesome female rock voices go definitely also check out Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara as well. She could be this generations signature female vocalist
At this point I feel like I really need to thank you guys for uploading the whole album to your channel. I didn't get around to actually buy the record yet, so I am really thankful for you uploading it. Thank you so much, guys! It really means a lot to me.
Ice phoenix I would recommend getting the CD. When I put the CD in, it blew me away. MP3 is compressed. I listen to this song over and over in my car. The sound explodes. Usually it doesn't matter but with this CD it does. MP3 to this album is like a silencer to a gun.
Ronnie Miller Obviously the quality of the sound of the CD is way better than these mp3s, no doubt and makes total sense. For now it's better than nothing at all though!
I don't think that there is a limit to what Lzzy can do vocally. She can rock it so hard and sing like an angel. Her voice on that extended part really makes me feel something. Thanks for sharing your talent Lzzy!

This is one of the most exceptional overall albums from any genre I've heard in a long time. I am so glad that Lzzy and the guys decided to really push themselves creatively and with their songwriting. IMO this album is a lyrical masterpiece. And the mix of sounds and songs couldn't be better. They didn't stray to far from the hard rocking sound they are known for with some incredible heavy tracks like Mayhem, I Like It Heavy, Sick Individual, Gonna Get Mine, and a couple others. But what may set this album apart from the first 2 is the mixing in of some outstanding slower tracks with amazing lyrics and switching up using some bluesy and even a lil country sound to a couple tracks. The slower tracks like Dear Daughter, The Reckoning, and What Sober Couldn't Say really showcase Lzzy's lyrical songwriting capabilities along with her vocals and range, which should never be doubted as one of the best in any genre of music. Then Bad Girls World has a soulful blues feel to it. New Modern Love is something different than anything I've ever heard from them with a pop song sound and feel to it. But even that song has grown on me. I can see why they are so proud of this album because you can definitely see their creative growth throughout. If they continue to write and create music that pushes and interest them they will only become more and more successful. The whole album has that same raw emotional intensity you see everytime they take the stage. This will be without doubt the bands most successful album to date. I can easily see this producing them another Grammy. If you can't tell I give it an infinite amount of thumbs up. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!!!!
Michael West I totally agree. They it seems a bit more relaxed and natural feeling to the whole album and it still remains just as anthemic and energizing as their music usually is.
I totally agree with u this album is so incredible and amazing i can deftinalty hear the improvement in the lyrics and production on this album is amazing to each song gets more awesome and inspiring lzzy has one of the most incredible amazing voices ive ever heard and her voice shines through so much
I couldn't have said it better than Michael West and Johnson did. Halestorm is already one of my all time favorites and I have been listening since '74 ("Since I was thirteen years old I've had my fist to the sky"). "I Like it Heavy" is a Hard Rock Anthem for any decade with lyrics that can inspire any Headbanger. "If I can't feel it in my chest I'm in the wrong damn place!", "Screaming "hallelujah, Mother F***** take me to church"", "I like it louder than the boom Of a big bass drum" and on and on - this song is the ultimate Love song for Rock and Roll Hard and Heavy.
you should also try out In This Moment and The Pretty Reckless. In This Moment has a song called Black Wedding that’s very clearly based off of White Wedding by Billy Idol, and they turned it into like a Halloween hard rock song, it’s very cool also Death by Rock & Roll is a good one by The Pretty Reckless
49 here, and I couldn't agree more. This band gives me hope for the future of rock n' roll! And you can bet there are kids out there right now being inspired by hearing Halestorm to pick up a guitar and scream into a mic the way Lzzy and the guys were inspired by the old rockers of the 80's and 70's before them.
I'm so grateful for the album being online. I don't have the money to waste on an album, so thanks for letting me experience the brilliance of Halestorm.
This is, objectively (and hands down) one of the best songs ever. Pick your artist, pick your song, and put it up against this one, and its Halestorm FTW.

Omg I am now relating to this. I just got into rock and they are the first rock/metal band I saw and I am 13 years old. And I am raising my fists to the sky. I'm prouuuud XD
This has to be the best song on the album, I also love the acapella bit at the end. Not 100% sure the whoaaa! was necessary on this one but, cant deny Lzzy's roar. Kickass
best band in a while ... best chick lead ever. I'm in love lol. btw: itd b great if the acapella tune at the of this was expanded on and made into its own track. anyways, you guys kick ass and I hope you've got more coming soon!!

That outtro thingy hit me like a brick. Breathless. This woman is pure music.
Reminds me very much of Janis Joplin
Such an amazing scream she has. I'd like to make a compilation of Lzzy's screams and just listen it all day.
Omg yes. My fav and I am a music soul
Rips the heart straight out of my chest every damn time, and I couldn't quit this song if I tried.

Very Janice. I'm sure Joplin would approve.

That's it man. Music is the universal vibration that draws us together. I don't need a support animal. I got music.
Amen to that my friend. If metal can't fix it, fuck it!

One of the best concerts I've had the pleasure of attending.. they are just as amazing awesome live as recorded and that's a rare find indeed❣️
Better live than recorded lol

I wish I had friends who like this kind of music, but they are all just into Rap or mainstream Pop 😧
you definitely got the upside of that trade :P

Have you seen their latest song? Joan Jett ALL THE FREAKING WAY! Voice, Look, Sound...all Joan Jett...and loving it!
Not surprising. Lzzy has said that Joan was one of her inspirations. Both fantastic musicians.

Lyrics for the outro:
Take me home tonight I, do anything with you
Buy a bottle of whiskey, we'll get matching tattoos
Tell me that you love me, oh let me drive your car
We can sit to morning light, just countin' every stars
'Cause if there's a Hell, I'll meet you there
And if there's a Heaven, they're serving beer
And if you're an angel then, I must be high
Oh if there's a church, it's rock 'n roll
If there's a devil, I sold my soul
And it's alright whatever we do tonight
'Cause if there's a God dammit she won't mind
If there's a God, baby she won't mind
Rite here, still listening in 2024
Wauw! Deze vrouw heeft een grandioos breed scala aan geluid wat uit haar mond komt, erg bijzonder!
