I know this little ballad is one of the least "heavy" tunes in the album, but still… there's so much fire, and passion, and sadness, and pain in Lzzy's voice… there's loss and a touch of rage hidden in the melody. It may be my nostalgic side, but it reminded me of Skid Row's 18 and life, or I remember you… I felt that same kind of atmosphere… for me, hands down the best song in an already solid album! Hope to see you guys dropping by Mexico City sometime soon!

I get a very 80s vibe when listening to this. At first I could not stand this song. Loved absolutely everything on this album except Bad Girl's World. After listening to it more though I can really appreciate the smooth softness in this song.

"Hale,---the individual!!" (should be the next album cover name) I don't like too many modern rock bands, but Halestorm caught my "individual ear" when I first heard the song "I am the fire". After buying the CD, I like this band, but they are a bit mixed up IMO (but much sharper than average). I can tell Izzy Hale (and the band) is a strong "individual", not indoctrinated to "group think" as modern education does to us, but she still joins groups. This song can be related to guys also, because we are all individuals (I blazed my own trail---and was hated by some for it), if any of us have the "mind" (develop) to do so. I can see Izzy Hale has a bit of feminism in her---but we are all individuals. Another song "sick individual" (and "I am the fire") is about you as a individual also (because you are not a farm animal), and demanding to be able to use your own judgment to steer your way through life (which can only be done in a "free society", that protects individual rights), but you can't do anything you want. Criminals still exist in a free society, and the line between being a individual and a criminal is when someone infringes on somebody else's individual rights, then that person is a criminal (again, only if the citizens live under the philosophies of individual rights). Pretty simple line---really. Izzy Hale has "individualism" in her heart and brain, and that makes a great band IMO. But individualism is what you can do with your mind, and what you can do with your mind in a free society,--will astound you, if you work out your mind like your body. Why do you think Steven Hawkins is so smart? He is in a wheel chair, and loved to learn things. He is the world body building champ of the mind. Is Izzy Hale and the band read philosophy from the queen of individualism (Ayn Rand), this band would not only reach your hearts, but your minds also. You may love this band---but I promise you---world leaders do not. Blaze the trail that no one "will dare", and they will hate you because your beautiful. The only reason why I understand that fully---is because of Ayn Rand. Learn from people who love individualism first---and you will be able to see through the commies lies.
I think using this deeply personal song to criticize what you assume are her thoughts and politics, solely for the sake of advertising your particular politics, is pretty fucking crass, dude. And since you seem to think Halestorm doesn't "touch your mind," that tells me that you either aren't listening to their lyrics while thinking outside your own (very small) mental box, OR that you simply aren't as smart as you seem to think you are. I think it's a bit of both. The fact is, you don't understand. You have a lot more learning to do, and frankly, Lzzy Hale is very far ahead of you, mentally.

Justin Parsons I prefer this album. The other albums were good but all of them had the stereotypical mainstream rock sound. This album sounds a little bit more unique, kind of a blues rock type of album.
+Justin Parsons Musicians do evolve in their style of music- music's all about fluidity and creativity and going outside of the box while writing. It's a lot of fun to experiment outside of the usual genre as a songwriter...so they didn't "blow it" they just changed. Personally I love Lzzy's lyrics in this.

Your English is fine for me. I won't deny this is a good Pop Song. But I listen Halestorm for Hard-Rock/Metal and good calm songs (but with electric guitar). In "Into The Wild Life", there's good calm songs (I like "New Modern Love" or "The Reckoning", for exemple) but there's too much calm songs. And if you add Pop, there's 6 songs (/13) too calm for me. It's a lot... The others are not so bad, but this one is terrible. ^^
