  • There just isn’t enough Aussie compilations like this, so to add to the cause I thought I’d make one my self! The video is basically 50 minutes of various different garbage trucks around Australia specifically Victoria. I think one or two trucks appear twice but there is loads of different trucks so you won’t get sick of it!
I really hope you enjoy this it’s taken me a while to make and is the reason I haven’t uploaded for over a week!

Greetings from - (probably where your 'forefathers' came from originally). What an excellent selection, - I must say I was very impressed by J.J.Richards fleet - most looked very new and certainly very well maintained. I thought that 'opening roof' on those front loaders was a very good idea, I've never seen it before. Those bodies looked massive on those 8-wheelers - mind you most of the bodies looked bigger than ours. That 'quick shot' at 29.18 of the 'Corio' 4-wheel truck looked odd I thought with those 'bus type' full height opening cab doors, - were they on both sides or only 1, it looked like a Mercedes or a Dennis but I wasn't sure, - those doors certainly looked odd. I noticed that some of those 'Iveco's' had the 'American' style spoked wheels, something you don't see on the ones in Europe, also the cab was different on some, - I presume that is the 'Australian' style. - Someone had to stay up very late, or, get up very early as I noticed with the 'shots' in the town(s) that there was no one about, so that had to mean either very late at night or very early in the morning, - my guess would be the morning. - In all a very enjoyable 50 minutes, - thank-you. ...... Oh yes you have another subscriber.

I will agree with you there, the JJ Richards trucks are some of the best looking, I’m a massive fan of their front lift units. The low entry bus doors on the Merc cabs allow for easier entry/exit to the cab. The older Accos featuring the spoked wheels are a bit of a highlight, although not commonly seen anymore. The Acco 2350G series cab is an Aussie built cab, the European ‘Stralis’ design has recently been introduced in Australia though, scrapping production of the 2350G. It does take some early starts to make these videos, well worth it though! Thank you for watching, glad it was enjoyed

Cool, the frontload trucks are so different than ours here in Canada. Surprised it's all European chassis trucks. Those lids though...talk about slowing a guy down. And then one gets stuck open and you don't notice!
