Wow this is awesome you just dialed in a stock truck with the least amount of hop-ups and it handles so amazingly. I love getting info off your channel on what a good proper upgrade is for my crawler.
Took mine out on "the pile" of rocks in the yard for about an hour, I got a whiff of hot electronics and checked the motor, hot hot hot. I have a set of RC4WD wheels, Hyrax, and Trenchers in the predator compound, with PL dual stage foams. As well as Vitavon axles and skid plate. So I will stay stock til I can upgrade to a HW AXE FOC R2 system and Reefs 555 steering servo. On 2022 Budget for upgrades.
TRX-4 Axles are super rigid/good/perfect. No need for alloy-axles - just looks better, but will get scratched anyway. Plastik glides better over stone as alloy...And to put "on some weight" its better to use lower parts like C-Hub, Portal-Cover...
You should put holes in the front of the spare tire up against the body and the bottom of the tire, that way the tire looks stock put doesn’t weigh as much.
Been watching lots of your videos. My new fav rc guy other then rcsparks cause he Canadian and us Canadians stick together lol. My mail box gonna be packed cause my first order for my Trx is probuild wheels, dual stage foam, g8 and predator tires and a 3 cell battery. Thanks for helping me pick out some good rims and tires
@@RCReviewChannel I have always thought the TRX-6 could become so much of a better platform if there were bodies. Guess custom is the only way for now. I’m making an Axial Unimog body with a proline rear cage for mine
hello I am new to rc and crawling wish i would have known the battery should be smaller instead of using the big ones. Your video helped me realize if I get more serious about crawling ill use those till i get smaller ones and move them forward on RC. What hub do you recommend for the rims to go on? I am looking into starting a upgrade to the rims and tires first then go from there. Thank you for your video and looking forward to watching more of them
I’m going to purchase a set of vanquish wheels. Any recommendations on vanquish hex hub set size for widening her out? I had never heard of running 2 different compounds at once before, I’m in So Cal so I’ll definitely give it a spin. Awesome info.
Dude, I never comment that much but i'm deciding on getting a defender or bronco, i have a trx4 sport kit and love it...I love watching your channel, very informative and detailed and your never in a rush......with those newer esc's like that that can be configured for voltage, do you need a bec? I'm considering the new spektrum crawler motor/esc for the sport, or even one of the 2 into 1 motor/esc combos.....keep up the good work!
Hey Francis, I'm debating on getting this new trx4 or the redcat gen 8 v2 or the axe edition. What in your opinion is the best one to get? Or is there something else thats better?
Hey, Thanks for your videos, they help me a lot!!! Regarding the vanquish method wheels, can you tel me which shell hub you use for the bronco 2021? Thanks a lot Johannes
Thanks for the nice suggestions. Really like your channel! I have this rig and also have the traxxas link module and their new pro scale light kit, which allows me to control a lot of configurations from the app. Will upgrading the ESC to an after market one like the hobbywing 1080 affect the compatibility with the traxxas link module and the traxxas pro scale light kit? I know 1080 is a rock solid ESC but I personally would not want to lose out on any of the fancy features that traxxas provides. Anyone has experience with this?
Are you still running the Traxxas high torque servo? I just upgraded to brass wheels and upgraded tires and now I really need a servo but don't want to spend more than 100-120, but I prefer cheaper if there is a GOOD one.
I know you said with the upgraded ESC you can run at 7.4v, what about the receiver? Will it be ok, or does it need to be upgraded, I believe Traxxas rated the receiver at 6v. Help…
Just awesome was waiting for this video. So just the tyres, foam and wheels come upto 250usd for 4, they looks amazing. Do they make that much of a difference compared to the stock?
Ok. what about just upgrading the esc to the brushed quicrun 1080 and leaving motor to stock Vs really upgrading to a brushless setup? This is for hard core crawling / steep scenarios?
@@Glenn.J Just the 1080esc is ok. Motor when the stock motor dies. Or direct upgrade to Axe Foc/Fusion. Steering Servo China 35kg one for 25 Bucks and use the TRX-4 original metal steering horn. Stock Tyres are ok - tape the inner holes in the rim. Or cock/heat the tyres, get them away from the plastic rims, and put some alloy-beadlocks on it.
@@runnerbaba thank you. there is something happening, and i might get an opportunity to upgrade to foc itself. i am just bit shocked that if i were to get these tires, its 250 for 4 :(..so at the moment i might just beadlock it. I also hear from a older bronco trx4 pal of mine, he says he just replaced the foams and its rock solid btw
Hello, been watching a lot of your videos. For a newbie like me I thank you. Purchased a Maxx and now shopping for a crawler. Torn between the Gladiator or the 2021 Bronco. Is there any other RTR crawler that you suggest me looking into? If you think the Bronco is the way to go I will follow your suggestions on your video. I did see a reply of an shv 800 servo but it went over my head. Many thanks and looking forward to your suggestions.

@@RCReviewChannel I just had a chat with traxxas support today and they said that the TQi receiver is only rated for 6V. Is that really true or a liability thing? :)
Just ordered an shv 800 servo. With it being a direct power servo, I’ll leave my esc BEC running at 5.5v for longevity of my mini servos and receiver!
That is a good idea to dual-power the servos. That SHV800 is a monster
Solid information. First time hearing about using different tread compound between front/rear. I will definitely be trying this in the future.

Is that 2 door body in the thumbnail a separate body you can buy for this chassis? I love it.

Hi Francis, great video I just recently got a Bronco and was wondering which hubs to get for widening the stance. Thanks
Hello Francis! Which body/truck is on the thumbnail, the 2 door Bronco? Thanks
We need more bodies and body mods for the TRX-6!
True that. It looks like no one has stepped up for bodies for the trx6. May not ever happen

How long have you ran the stock servos in 7.4v. I wanna try mine but I’m scared it’s gonna fry.
Stock servo, about 6 months. Seems to work no problem for 90% of the folks out there. So there is a risk on stock Traxxas servos.
Is it HH motor 21? Nice rig!
This one is a Crawlmaster Pro. But the Trailmaster Sport 21t works almost as well.
Hey man can you do videos on the bronco please !!!!!!!!!

So the 2075x on my trx4 sport can run on 7.4v? Just bought a 1080 and was wondering if I could use 7.4
Yes, most definitely.
Traxxas TQI will probably die early when you use 7,4volt...
I have it on to TRX4s now for a couple of years and it's fine.

If change voltage of Bec, to 7,2 too break some Receiver. No? Thanks
not just the receiver, but the diff and transmission servo's are only rated to 6v. Some get away with it, others don't.
Just get a direct power servo or a bec so you don’t risk it👍
The receiver will be fine fo rsure. The little servos, some had bad luck with, especially a few years ago.
7,4volt will kill: Stock Servo, Stock Mini-Servos, Reciever....
Have this setup on a couple machines and it's a-ok for two years now. Receiver is rated for 7.4v. Small servos, there is a risk.
how to trim small servos?
