I traveled from Portsmouth for my 40th to play this course. Amazing course ! First day a howling gale and a few short showers, second day hot sunshine not a breath of wind. All four of us loved it, highly recommended !
The thing I love about this video, other than the golf and golf course, is that you two walked the course! I understand that mounting cameras on the carts is helpful for content. However, the thoughts and commentary from you both walking the course is totally different than when one’s in a golf cart. I personally love that different commentary that came from walking the course! Good job to the entire team!
Love this video format. To the point, good pace, no unnecessary cut aways for content filler. Awesome. Also, thanks for showing you pick up the ball out of the wet patch and move it.
Rick, if you pause the video right at the moment of your takeaway, you can often see your club pointing miles outside the target line swing path. On one hole, the camera is angled in front of you instead of right behind you and your club is pointing right down his lens. Look at the side-by-side slow motions when the stats come up after 9 holes. Guy's clubhead is bang on line the swing path. If your club is pointing miles outside the swing path, that means you have to correct it to get it on line. Sometimes you manage that, but when you don't, it means it's always pointing the wrong way, hence your pull-hooks and sometimes push-slices. Cheers, Dan
Wow Rick, this brings back memories I spent most of my summer holidays over 40 years ago playing this course, we stayed in the cottages around the Ty Coch 😊
Played the 27 2 weeks ago in the most glorious conditions. Thought the championship course was fantastic in its own right but the extra 9 on the peninsula at the end in warm setting sun was unforgettable
Nice finish ! What i love about Rick’s videos is that it’s golf we can relate to (ups & downs) combined with amazing locations .. perfect recipe for a great golf moment ❤
That week we had in Wales was wonderful.... Harlech, Pennard, Aberdovey, Pyle & Kenfig, Nefyn, Porthcawl ..... all wonderful..... but tell me where else you stop golfing and go down a path to a pub for a quick halfpint. THIS is the place! We were lucky - a calm & sunny day! NEVER FORGET IT THOUGH IT WAS 30+ YEARS AGO,
I have played the old course of Nefyn, many years ago. The course is brilliant. Hope you visited the pub at the bottom of the steps on the back nine. Excellent video
Enjoyed this. Beautiful course The greens on the peninsula didn't do you any favours but good to hear no complaints from you both. I now watch quite a few RUclipsrs and a constructive comment coming up. A lot of other content creators engage or involve the videographers on the way round. It's a small thing but does ensure the team effort for great content is shown.
Really cool to see the real Guy! That moment after the soda break has to be one of the many reasons Rick likes Guy! What a great person to have around to make you laugh and play with!
When Guy said he had a putt for eagle, I had a feeling he was going to putt short twice and 3 putt for par. Not bagging him, just know that feeling when putting confidence isnt high. Keep it up Guy!
Thanks for that Rick, bought back so many memories. My mate had a cottage a couple of miles away. Got to be going back 30+ years, just me n my mates, two rounds a day, pub in the evening…..brilliant.
I know some of these videos are out of chronological order, but watching some of the videos where your mental (head) space isn't the greatest versus the ones where it is just point how psychologically demanding this game can be. Keep up the good content!
Make sure you can play the peninsula holes before you turn up. They were closed when we went, because of the amount of walkers that go down to the beach and the Tŷ Coch pub in the cove below the course. The front nine are still brilliant, especially the first 5or 6, but the back nine on the 18 we played were nowhere near as good or picturesque. Peninsula holes are open early and late in the day. Leave time as you have to go down to the pub as well.
This is one of the hardest golf courses to score on !! Beautiful, but windy even in the summer months ! Autumn golf your fighting a prevailing southwest wind which can be 40 & mph its a huge battle in wind ! 😊
Have to admit the course looks absolutely beautiful I had never heard of it before looks like amazing course I imagine twilight with the sun going down it would be magical
absolutely beautiful course! and i will say, the little transitions with both your stats is really awesome! i hope you keep doing that every Break video!!
Thanks for showcasing one of the great courses in N Wales. It looked like the greens had been recently dressed making short putts difficult. Well played Guy, great finish Rick!
Playing this course in a few weeks, can’t wait! Been going to Abersoch and visiting Nefyn and the Ty Coch for years, but only recently started playing golf. Excited to play it, brilliant video as always 👌🏻
Watching Peter Finch hit his ping driver even if he miss hits it still find fairway and listening to Lee Westwood say how forgiving and good it is i wish Rick would put it in his bag :)
@@Etan1122 yeah i saw someone else say this i have seen other golfer switch and instantly see the benefits i saw on Grant H channel he swapped back to his old irons after having a dip in form over the last few youtube videos he's done.
Played there once and coming back with the gang next year. Incredible place, nothing remotely like it in the UK, although Old Head in Ireland supposedly is of the same ilk, better condition and 10 times the price. Absolutely stunning and unlimited fun at Nefyn, hope you haven't made it impossible to book with this video...
I played the Cabot Cliffs and Cabot Links this past week and have a great appreciation for this style of golf courses now. Sceneries are just magnificent but wind is crazy. You can’t figure out what’s going on on the greens at all.
Great video Rick.If you like a course with great views there is a great little course my wife and I used to play a lot we were there so often we were members. That is Cape Cornwall its not miles long but it has its challenges. So if you fancy a road trip get down to the Cape and try it out if the golf is bad the views make up for it
Cheers Rick, I used to love being able to afford this course. What a gem of course though, cracking pub the ty coch. North Wales an understated area for really good golf with friends. Good vid as well.
Tough first hole but getting a boogie on the first hole usually means something good is going to happen for me. Hope it works the same way for you guys. what a beautiful golf course.
Had a great day at Nefyn last April. Insane value. We were ropey over 18 holes, but strangely improved playing the extra nine on the peninsular after a couple of Guinness in the pub on the beach. Two of us stiffed seven-irons into the wind on the signature 14th. Both short putts missed...
What a stunning golf course. Makes me want to go play Umdoni Park, Southbroom and The wild coast sun golf courses here in Kzn South Africa.... or even some of the further south course from Kzn , Fish river, ouBaai, pinnacle point and the like. Magic place. Good pick Rick a d team.
Loved the main course, the Point is just crazy golf though, especially in the wind and rain. The only good thing is the beach bar on the way back in....
Rick should come to Oakmont next year for the US Open and play Mystic Rock at Nemacolin while you’re at it! I’d love to see a video of you playing that course.
Definitely a scary course.. especially the point 9. Good effort both of you, but truthfully, so much of the British coastline is like this that Pebble beach doesn't have a look in. 👏👏
Gotta play hebden bridge golf course Rick not far from manchester but it is an absolute hidden gem one of the most picturesque courses in the north west 100%
I can’t play (have never tried to play) golf…… but I want to so bad!!! I’ve watched these videos for about 4 years and I love golf!! Can I start off with a basic set of clubs? I don’t want to be good I just want to chase a ball for a day 😂
I think it would be cool to put a visual of the UK and pinpoint where these courses are. Being from the US I’m not too familiar with where you can play these. Great looking course!
Still my favourite course I've played this place, would love to go back now I'm a better golfer loved the back 9 (point) part. Please tell me u slipped off the course to the beach bar and then resumed your round rick. Can't wait to watch this ❤
Course looks stunning. Although I think I would have enjoyed watching you finish the championship course more. I love pristine greens and perfectly manicured fairways lol
I played there last summer; it's spectacular in real life. However, there's that path on the peninsula course that's filled with people enjoying a walk on a nice day. It's a little scary, knowing that a miss towards the path could hurt someone. Having said that, it's a great course.
10,000 likes and Rick will buy Guy his own rangefinder
A new range finder for a big boy!
The stats with slow-mo drives in the background is an awesome addition!
Exactly! Loved this!
Why don't they also show the stats after 18 holes?

What an amazing course!! I've only ever made it to Wales once, but this course alone is just one more reason to go back again!
What a stunning looking course. Can't help thinking I don't carry enough balls to complete a round there!
These are my favorite type of videos. Stroke play posting a score. Allows us to cheer on our boys!
I’m online right now and they have tee times available starting at 50 pounds. A course like that in the USA would start at $500 and go up from there.
Nice finish ! What i love about Rick’s videos is that it’s golf we can relate to (ups & downs) combined with amazing locations .. perfect recipe for a great golf moment ❤

Rumour has it, Guy is still scuuurd of the bunker
Boonkah.
Friends playing golf and having a good time is what it's all about.
Any Fast Show fans? Would've loved to have heard Guy say 'Brilliant' in that hat!
Ain't milk brilliant
Cheesy peas!
Selling a par Rick.... Swiss Tony my fav
I thought exactly the same 😂
“I just fell in a hole…….. briallinat!!!”
So glad you played here, been playing here for 10+ years and it's such a hidden gem!

If only Ping was cheap 2nd hand.
@@NineEyeRon you can find some 4xx on second swing for a decent price.
Rick needs more forgiving irons as well. He isn’t practicing as much as he needs, who has the time, so should use something forgiving across the board

Played it last year and loved it, despite having my cap blown into the sea at the far end of the point! And that pub... glorious.
Love the front 9 stats, top class video as usual. Thanks for sharing Guys great round

Some really amazing holes. Great scenery. Putting not easy on such exposed greens. But still pretty scoring from both.
I’m in Las Vegas and I’m watching the goat! Can’t beat it!
What a beautiful course! Great round for Guy, can't remember him beating your score ever!
Another great break 90 from Rick!
Wow Rick, what a course! Think this one just made it onto a ton of players lists. Great video guys
You have to go to Thurlestone though, I’ll say it again, stunning course!!!
