Foam underlayment usually has plastic in it anyway. This is just something that doesn't have foam. Maybe there's foam underneath the laminate, for cushion. The comment section is panicking about this the wrong way
Trust me bro, I've made in here very very humid if you know what I mean. And it works perfectly. You should do more work at home to know what you're talking about
Thats the purpose of it so moister wont come in contact with the flooring dummy you do moister reading before install and if their good and no moister is detected you install the plastic so if there ever is moister it wont ruin your flooring
Bro using garbage bags for underlayment, got N-95 masks for Knee pads, and installing upside down (and backwards). Different breed right here, my boys
And yet 5 years later we are still all good..
😂😂😂
No need chamfer and bitumin sheet waterproof ? This material itself a water proof?
Better than SPC?
Do you then cut the excess plastic barrier showing thru the baseboards ?
Of course

Remember to leave a gap for expansion. Otherwise good work!
It's not wood and probably doesn't need much, probably 1/4" vs. wood needing more.
If that's a luxury vinyl plank why do we have a moisture barrier also?
It’s laminate. The top is vinyl the core is particle board LVP is solid vinyl all the way through.
WTH underlayment cheap?
the plastic is not waterproof. but moisture resistance..
Its a second floor, probably wood subfloor...why the plastic?
Lets be honest tho.. if water gets under their regardless membrane or not your taking it all up...
This 100% waterproof flooring is awesome.. had a flood and didn't have to replace 1 strip..

No such thing as waterproof laminate . Maybe the top is water resistant but the inside is just mdf
Well.. what ever it is.. surely handles water very welll
@wecanmakeit2388 leave a small piece in water for a few hours then get back to me. Vinyl click is far superior
Yeah the plank may be " waterproof" but the installation is not.
Floating floors arent waterproof. Let me guess concrete subfloor.
Waterproof? No-

Get real underlayment next time
Which one would that be,. serious question
@@Pri79111anything that’s foam not plastic. Or buy hardwood that has the foam already on the back of the planks
Even with preattached underlayment, manufacturers still recommend 6mil plastic on the concrete...@@ryans413
Et ben je lui donne un mois au parquet pour être pourri d'humidité
