    Good point about the sled hip vs spine. To me the standing calf raise has always been the equivalent of squat for the calves. I can now see things a bit differently.
    Good video!
    Thank you.

    Love it!
    He recommends training calves 2-3/wk. This Calf workout breakdown: 3-5 rounds (this shouldn't be exact) of ~15 reps on hip loaded Calf raise, seated tibia raises (can be done on lying leg curl machine), squat calf raise.

    Recently I found out my left calf is an inch larger than my right side. I'll put more attention on ankle mobility because the range on motion sucks compared to my left side. In the meantime I'll focus on the right calf and allow my left to just relax!

    What do you recommend for symmetry? One of my calves is bigger than the other. Should I only work out the smaller one to catch up to the other?

    • @zargothrax9564
      @zargothrax9564 3 года назад +3

      Go-to advice for imbalances are usually to do unilateral work, do the weak calf first and then just match reps with the other. Theoretically over time it should catch up that way without losing size in the larger one.

    2 times a week? calves respond to 6 times a week training. If you don't have calves trust me work them every single day they will grow

  • @lionheart93
    @lionheart93 3 года назад

    I noticed my calves to have grown a lot more when isolating them even more by doing single leg calf raises.not sure why but I can connect very well. Why is that sir?
