Props to that actress. She seemed like such a oblivious older lady, then the break in character... getting tossed around like that too, never expected that. That whole scene sequence was brilliant.

how far would cops like Voight go before they become the criminals themselves??? or is he like the rest of the Americans allowed to be exempt from the rules when it suits them?? Doesn't the fact that he is so willing to use things such as torture to extract a confession worry you???
Saying "you wouldn't dare" to Voight always makes me laugh

@brandondunmoore 😂

More like an 'A' rating. For Anybody can catch these hands 😂😂😂
The fact that even after all that trauma the victim still put other people first. Instead of screaming to be saved she warned them that there might be a bomb and that they should save themselves instead of her.
She didn't "put others first." The bomb would have gone off and everyone would have died. Her actions are the result of being beaten down and made to believe that there's a bomb there. Nothing wrong with screaming to be saved. In fact, it's normal. She was telling them that she couldn't leave because of the psychological abuse.
@@rtphotos4691 That's how I saw it too. Self preservation, she doesn't want to die so she tells them to leave or they all die.
Yes absolutely me too, she was saving herself mostly, if she truly put others first she would have crossed the line and blew the bomb up ages ago to save others from finding it accidentally....
The way I see it, her brain just adapted to the situation and she could fathom reintegrating into society
if they came in she would have died simple as that
Voight being slaying and being harsh and mean to every criminal. Gotta admire him
Listening to Voight's voice turned my pumpkin spiced latte into black coffee with grit.
I love how you wrote this
People want gender equality. So, here is Hank, treating every criminal the hard way.
Nothing to do with "gender equality." Criminals aren't the base line for human behaviour.
@@rtphotos4691 Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine. Irony seems to fly right past you, what bliss you live in.
What does this have to do with gender equality you weirdo? He’s still abusing his power just as pigs do.
@@lockjaw8378 - My comment still stands. Nothing "ironic" about what you wrote. As for "a ray of sunshine?" You're the one here applauding criminals as if that's the benchmark for *all* human behaviour. Stop projecting. You wrote bullsh*t. Own it.
And how delightful it was to watch him in action here!
6:46 the woman: 'I've never seen that before in my life'
Halstead: 'Me either, open the door' 🤣 Man, I miss the old Chicago PD when the whole team, all of them were more badass and more like a family. Nowadays the writers only write conflicts and made all the characters less badass, we don't see the group at Molly's at all. Jay was so great in the first few seasons, badass, with humor and actually, he and Voight were on the trajectory to becoming more like a father and son because Voight lost his son&Jay lost his father, and they both loved Erin.
Till the end of season 6, you could see the writers were bringing them closer together then some writers and producers changed, and everything started to be messed up! I hate it. And now Halstead is gone. The writers totally f up his storyline (and many others as well).
Thanks for your sincere compliment Kindly let me know where you're watching from?❤️
The first few seasons were A level telly.

VOIGHT: "I only need your voice and brain working. Everything else is a bonus for you. How much of it you keep is entirely dependent on how quick you talk Now, let's start with the fingers. To keep nine fingers, you tell me the door code." (Cuts).
Always a pleasure to watch Voight at work.
As long as the suspect is guilty.
so far , I think this must to being one of the toughest scene to film considering the fact the villain is a 55+ year old woman and Hang does it in his style ...
The fists of justice are unisex.
Hang 😂
Unfortunately criminals come in all shapes, size, genders etc.
The scream of the actress was so good
Gggg
I remember another episode, where Voight and Alvin came to a bar. The chick had some info they needed and she played as the dominant though woman. It just took some minutes to make her realize, that Voight and Alvin do not play around if it comes to their closest ones.
Yep that bar stool got hurt LOL!!!
Voight did what he needed to do save the lives of two of his team. That old bag can sue him or bring him up on charges all she wants but they saved that girl from a monster.
No proffesional interrogator would ever recommend torture. It's illegal, inhuman and counter-productive. How are police officers better than criminals if they torture and beat them?
@@razvanrusu6272 what about the criminals that don't care? I'm talking about the criminals that are so supremely arrogant or undeniably evil that they will never EVER flip. What should happen to those guys?
@@redmondpeters6221 doesn’t make them abusing their rights right
@@jameliakingstom1190 yeah. Vigilantes do these things. Police shouldn't.
The problem with what Voight did is that any halfway decent defence lawyer would get any charges dropped or reduced as actual physical torture by the police is illegal in all western countries, well nearly all.
The actress of the victim really did a good job
The actress of the evil woman did a great job; everyone hates her. :)
@@hilaryc3203 very true

This woman was one of the most memorable villains on thr show. The actress did a fantastic job 💯
That was satisfying to my inner child that used to be abused by a woman like that. Gotta love TV, man. Heroes like Voight, could have used one in my day.

If more cops treated rapists and predators like this, there wouldn't be so many missing kids/women. Of course, let's not forget that there are a few cops who are the predators (many in NYPD). I love Hank Voight.
Um senhor gato
Uma voz rouca linda
No, there would still be just as many. They don't care about consequences.
See, that premise is flawed. If cops treated suspects like that, they would only dare against minorities and poor people who may or may not be innocent. Would you want to be on the receiving end of that if you were innocent?
1) Your premise assumes the cop is correct in if the person in question is the predator. Under torture, eventually, anyone will confess to anything, guilty or innocent.
2) No small part of what makes our society a place we want to live and raise families is that (on paper) the police are NOT allowed to do these things.

From day dot i was invested in every character but Olinsky is my man. First 4-5 seasons were amazing telly.❤
Cant help but find the resemblance to the 'Amazon killer', which is a very real person. He hired a couple to do work on his property then shot the boyfriend and kept the girlfriend chained up in a crate just like this girl. Very scary real stuff.
7:13 doesn’t matter if your a woman of faith or a lady like Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping Up Appearances, Voight will use his ‘methods’ to get answers 😨😨😨
Just heard a scream and the code magically appeared😂😂

My gosh my man Hank.....💓💓💓
This clip really made me laugh. Excellent acting there. 🤣 .
There was a case in Germany. A little boy was abducted for ransom. They got a suspict, the guy didn't talk. The police chief knew time was crucial - the boy wasn't safe with the guy.
The police chief suggested torture threats to one of his subordinates. Guy got talking. Boy was found - kiddo was dead already, his murderer probably killed him very soon after he had him captured.
Guy got lifetime with no way to get out ("Sicherungsverwahrung"). Once his time is done, he's deemed too dangerous for society and will be kept in a special prison. No way out, but not as harsh as the regular prisons.
Police chief and his commissioner (?) got fines and probation.
Because even in this situation it is NOT allowed to even threaten torture to a suspict. Might as well the wrong one (wasn't sentenced at that point) and it also opens doors better stay closed.
This lady is insane
ok
The evil older one? Great actress.
@@hilaryc3203 yup

Criminals make this mistake all the time with the cops. You put in a steel vault door... in a wood frame house. FD could be through your wall in ten minutes, less if they aren't worried about your house falling down afterwards.
Exactly. There were enough tools in her garage to go through the other walls without FD even arriving. To be fair, it looks like the door went down into a masonry basement, which would be more of a job to get into, but they can still go through the plywood subfloor with a normal circular saw.
I've always loved the voice of the guy who plays Voight. He was the announcer for the Mercs faction way back in the day of Black Ops 2
her scream followed by the code, satifaction!
I think Voight is like this shows Batman.😃
"me either" 😂
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
It seems there is a necessary evil to do things ordinary people are not able to do or willing to do. But necessary evil is not truly evil, is it? It is just a force we are looking away from but on the other hand, we are glad it stays close to our society because it sets the score.
Woman : screams

Just finished watching Season 08. Those were good days, Now, it's too much difficult to do policing.
What a evil and wicked woman 😡
She's a really good actress. I've seen her pop up in Ozark, Better Call Saul and even The Onion New Network
The last scene was very special in a sense because you don’t know she’s the bad guy so my first reaction was come on voight she’s an old lady be gentle but then you realized during her interrogation that she was the mastermind so I’m like all good Hank do your thing. I’m alright with it, that old bag can suffer for all I care. If only we knew at the beginning, maybe it would help not to feel sympathy or empathy for her.
I read the comments before I watched
M. Night Shyamalan: This will be a great plot twist for my movie!

In a garage alone with a cop with an axe to grind? Oof. Bad call
whats the code "brandishes knife " you wouldnt dare!!!! ayeeeeeeeeee. 3737.

How’d the cops already get inside the safe when the other cops were trying to get in that strange
she led them there and closed it on them
Wow ..ur slow
She trapped them in there... thought that would be oretty obvious from the context
I can't believe she actually said that to Hank? Is she crazy or just stupid. You don't say "You wouldn't dare" to Hank Voight, that's just suicide!
Little reason for a criminal to expect their arresting officer to be a high-functioning sociopath, so it kinda makes sense.
❤❤❤❤❤ saludos
5:00 I know about acting but for fantasy; Why does Linsday react so much? Not every day they catch suspects and put smiles on their faces. If they want the criminals so badly, they needed to be clever as them. Because without it what chances do they normally have?
I know this brutal but who thought the cans of fuel in the shed where a wasted opportunity she doesn’t need her feet to tell Hank the code and it is still nowhere near the level of suffering she caused to others.
