While I do agree that the show isn't realistic based on how the police behave, a lot of their episodes are based off of true events. Same with Chicago Fire, and Chicago Med.
For those who wanna know what happened after: Drew was arrested for kidnapping an murder, Alvin then points a gun at his face and Drew cries and pleads for his life as Alvin looks like he's about to kill him, he then taunts Drew over how it felt for those girls he held hostage and pled for their lives. Ruby talks with Alvin and she says she's decided to keep her baby, to give them a good life and have a good outcome on her negative experience, in comfort, Alvin gives her his necklace with a bullet on it that he wore when he discovered he's wife was pregnant and he tells her it's for strength, she thanks him and tells him he reminds her of her dad. Madison AKA Jamie, talks with Dr Charles and expresses how she has her life back, and can now go and live her life without Drew in it and make a fresh start.
@@rachelcookie321 Yes and no she was a victim, abducted by Drew and brainwashed to marry him and live off the identity he gave her, if you watch they remind her of her real name and her sibling, who got married and named her baby after her missing sister.
After finding out in the comments that Jamie actually turned out to be another one of that dude's abducted victims, Ruby's gaze at her when they were trying to make her remember her real name made a lot more sense now. It seems like Ruby had a small realization that Maddison, or Jamie, is actually a victim like her and not just an oblivious wife who wanted to deny the truth.
isnt this lady the one from chicago med that had the disorder where she couldn't feel pain but had a nasty disease, but her baby only had the painful one..?
Yeah they tend to recycle actresses. I know at least one more example. A lady played both a abused housewife who later hit her husband with a baseball bat and set her house on fire on Chicago Fire, as well as a guest on Medical where she was the biological mother of some kid incubated by a surrogate who got braindead.
If your interested ,there's a few books about it. One being 'a memoir, a stolen life' by jaycee dugagard. 'My story' by Elizabeth smart One is 'room'- but it's fictional
