SAAAMMMEEE, was having so many issues tuning my nitro rs4 3 evo+ with the T3.0. The G3.0 is basically the same engine to my knowledge so this was still suuupppeerr helpful!
hello. hpi. ilove your cars and im glad for this tutorial because my car is old and needs to be fixed. but where i live i cant go to a shop and tune my car. hopefully my car can survive for muself to enjoy it while it lasts
You only have to break in 1 time but I would recommend using about 7 tanks to make sure u bucket is fine because some people don't 7 tamks amd the people that do use 7 tanks to break. In usually find there bullet is quicker
Almost like the original 1993 Team Associated instruction video, but with actually useful cinematography, instructions, voiceover, audio, and illustration.
no you only have to breakit in once.. but you do have to tune it depending on the weather..the only time you have to breakin a engine is if you replace any of the internal parts like th pistonhead or the sleeve
Yes, the general tips will work for you car but as for tuning, always refer to your manual. Since this video is not of your brand of car, do not rely on this video, just use the procedures in this video as tips and always refer to your manual for detailed instructions. As for breaking in, use the directions in your manual as different companies use different techniques.
The new hpi bullet nitro st does not have a low speed needle but if u watch this vid u will get the hang of it . My bullet is ssooooo quick it was a great buy and it is well worth the money but make sure u get nitro ones thay r the best
Breaking in is easy, you need to read less and play more I usually on all my cars trucks no mattet what instructions say I run 1 tank on idle, then 2 and 3 tanks of gentle throttle and hard braking every 2,3 seconds each tank upping the length of time throttle is pressed, then after tank 4 u can go full speed, engine will settle over time I rarely need to tune mine and they start everytime with good engine care :)
Nicely done. I have a t 15 and can't get it to stop dying when throttled. Idles great. Starts right up. The base settings described in the manual are not the same as the T 30 you demonstrated. Got me a new T 30 to drop in if I don't get the issue solved. Anyone with an idea please post.
That's because you don't know what you are doing! They are considerably easier than traxxas cars, especially when you're following the traxxas method. Every other manufacturer doesn't have the complicated breaking method like traxxas. I have hpi and traxxas nitro cars for over 20 years now.
Hi. I have a tamiya tgs running the HSP 18 Nitro Engine 2.74cc. Have installed the engine. When the engine starts up the all four wheels starts spinning. Can’t get the idle settings or tunning setting right. Please tell me what can I do and how.
I'm having problems with my nitro traxxas slash trx 3.3, I dont really know how to tune it, it stalls in the beginning, even when warmed up, then it takes off bit shuts off when I apply brakes
So I have an HPI nitro MT2 from way back before the 2009 models. I need a new needle bearing and a new bottom plate. The MT2 was discontinued ages ago. It feels like I had no hope.
The Chassis for the MT2 is: www.hpiracing.com/en/part/73946 It is still available. There are very few left however and we will not be restocking when they are gone. You can find details of all the Distributors currently signed on here: www.hpiracing.com/distributors The needle roller bearings are discontinued. But I know brands like Kyosho also used them under the number LD70. I believe you could also use two 5x8x2.5 ballrace bearings instead.
I have an eco rush. At idle it keeps moving forward and I have to keep the brake on, the throttle dial on the controller is low. I then adjusted the high speed needle and when I start it, it accelerates and burns through the fuel quick. Help!
HRP....We need vehicles to be manufactured so we can buy them. When we can buy them you can make money. Nitro Savages. We especially need nitro Savages. Get a Savage RUclips channel to show off how amazing it is and you promote the channel on snapchat and TikToc. People will come back to you, but you need to start engineering again wonderfully durable great looking vehicles. Especially the Savage line. Nitro and Brushless systems
I have just purchased a BRAND NEW hpi nitro star 15, along with a new glow igniter, new batteries for said igniter and the hpi recommended 20% nitro fuel. I filled the tank, started the engine and proceeded with the factory break-in process. It ran for 1/2 a tank and died! The glow plug from hpi had already burnt out!!! Horrible..
It’s 2023 ……still watching this….👍🏾…..thank you!!!
11 years later this video is very helpful thanks 🙏!!!!

200-250 degrees. Never go over 250. If you do, richen the mixture right away.

Great video - This helped me lots!
Thank for instruction lesson in first time engine rc running
You only have to do this once, which is when you first buy it.

Would love you to bring back the firestorm
ive had alot of rc car hpi is the hardest to start and break in

200 being a cool temp and 230-250 is safe...over 280 is overkill and richen right away

Ronnie Grey maybe it was too lean or rich on LSN or HSN. Most likely to lean
