You magnificent person! I have combed through dozens of supposed fixes or work arounds to this problem and spent so many hours trying different things. It is amazingly widespread. I was looking for a solution which went the other way; namely to change to CSM Support enabled. I Disabled CSM Support, Then went to secure boot and disabled it as well. Then back to CSM Support and enabled it.

If I'm not mistaken, this download requires you to purchase the software if you want to convert from MBR to GPT. Just wanted to advise anyone before they spend 5 minutes watching the video, and another 5 minutes downloading the software etc.....You can do this in windows for free.

We can use disk management to convert since MBR to GPT too. The process is simple, we must have removed all partitions and after that we can convert to GPT or since GPT to MBR...
Issue for me is, my ssd won't be detected at all; regarding bios and disk management. The drives installed correctly for sure, but nothing will show up related to it. Any ideas mate?

I'm a bit lost because every time I say to some tech guys that I want to convert my boot disk to GPT, they don't recommend it. But I want to upgrade to windows 11 without losing any data. The only problem is that it's telling me that the pc must support secure boot. I have the same mobo and can enable it. But my partition style is MBR.
If I understand correctly, I should :
1 - convert my boot disk to GPT (if I have other disks should I convert them to GPT to ?)
2 - go to the bios, disable csm support and enable secure boot
3 - Now I should be able to upgrade to windows 11
Is that correct ? And is it safe to do it ? Maybe do a backup before doing all that so I don't lose everything ?
1.If you have multiple disk no need to convert all. Just convert the specific disk (SSD or HDD) where u want to install windows.

After apply mbr to gpt it says restart into windows pe mode or restart into preos mode which one you select please reply?
select 'pe mode' it will automatically perform the mbr to gpt convert operation in Preinstallation Environment (also known as Windows PE and WinPE) and after complete the process it will automatically reboot to dextop.
@gaming47 I'm already in GPT, but after disabling the CSM its directly booting in windows and not able to enter bios, the only way I was able to enter bios was by removing the motherboard battery which results in resting all bios settings

I converted the disks to gpt but when I go to the bios it does not make me disable the csm and it does not make me activate the secure boot the message it gives me is always to disable the csm and restart but even if I do it remains active when I restart my motherboard and aorus elite b450 can you help me?

Undo all changes you made in bios. Hope it will boot normally.

I dont even find the "storage boot option mode" and the "other pcie devices" settings on my B550 aorus pro v2. I cant even change from bios to uefi mode. Any idea where to find this option? Im on the latest bios version

1. enter bios and go to the 'BIOS' section. check boot option priorities and set your boot Device (SSD/HDD) in boot option 1.
2. Enable CSM support and select legacy

May be your boot device (Hard drive/ssd) is in MBR partition mode. If you disable csm support your bios only can detect GPT partition mode. You have to convert your boot device to GPT mode. Watch the full video. Hope you will get the solution.

@@viperlaz1655 you neet to convert your boot device to GPT mode...otherwise your pc wont boot. Enable csm support to boot your pc normally then convert boot device to GPT mode. In my video i show how to convert.

@@holaamigosvespacuez1383 you can reset the bios manually. If it fix the boot option then you can easily convert mbr to gpt by using CMD command. Actually its not common that nothing is showing on the screen.
