Coach, you're unbelievable. I've been sitting at my desk wiping tears this morning, because of my ex and his audacity to jump into a rebound. He's been with her for about two months maybe, and their demise isn't coming fast enough for me. I'm optimistically waiting for the big boom. This was perfect timing! Thank you, thank you, thank you for renewing my hope!

Two years later, and he's still with the same person, and they are living together now. I've moved on, but I think only because he forced me to. I still see him at work every day, but we don't talk, maybe a few words now and then, but my side of the interaction is mostly just replying to him, I never initiate it. At this point I see it as a science project, waiting to see if he ever reaches out.
Wow her history is almost like mine, my ex and I were engaged, he broke up with me and started a new relationship after 1 month, he changed his fb pic profile and now he’s with her, he never did that when we were together, he never had us as his profile pic. I have to say that I don’t want him back, during the relationship and the break up he showed me who he really was, all he did was disrespectful and he hurt me, so humiliating, how can I person say: I love you and I want to marry you and do all these things to you? He’s full of BS, I wish him the best but at the same time I hope he gets what he deserves, I have cried so many days, I haven’t been able to sleep for so many nights, just because I believed in him and I trusted him
My ex did the same thing. We’re together for almost 6 years, had a kid, and left me and got with someone who as she told me was “only a friend” after one month. She wouldn’t share me on Snapchat at all unless our son was in it and still would try to cover me. It was so different with this new dude, always flaunting how happy and sexy he was, sharing shirtless pics of him and so much more. I would never take her back she’s just trouble. Breakups bring the worst out of people sadly and make us say hurtful things. i experienced it first hand with my ex gf. Hooked up with a new guy after 2 months after being committed to a 4 year relationship. Even bragged to my face how better he is than me but that shows me how insecure you really are.

My ex put new pics up etc , breakup was mutual , but he rushed into relationship, really sketchy, was at first a bit hard but the more I thought about his actions & his true nature I'm relieved now, and he looks awful too , not sure why I even liked him, I advise people to really take time to think about taking an ex back, good luck everyone :)

Depends on what they mean to you and how special what you had was. I want mine back after all sorts of BS because I love her as a person.
Its alot of to handle. Its more like if you probably were building something together and things went suddenly south. So it all depends as long both put in the work.
Dating around is a good way to move on from the ex, and sometimes you meet someone just as good, if not better.. But sometimes it does have the reverse effect.. It could make you miss the ex more.. Almost 7 months now since my breakup, and I dated one girl I could say was more fun and upbeat than my ex, but the sexual chemistry just wasn't there like it was with the ex. It's tough.. If my ex did an indirect/direct, I'd respond, but I'd be way more cautious about investing my time in her ever again. I guess that would play to my advantage anyway, since she dumped me over my neediness.

Well if they really broke up and found someone new in a few weeks, you still kind of know what to expect: It ends and they come back, it ends but they still don't come back, or it lasts and you move on. Mine made sure she found someone else before she left me, and she did say she was too stressed about our relationship and she found herself in a bizarre, not so serious thing when she was trying to escape the stress of commitment (we were together for 7 years and you can guess how shocking this is to hear after she was strictly monogamous and serious all this time). Several weeks before the breakup she was joking if we could be partners in an open relationship, I guess it wasn't really a joke. Who knows what her next move will be, she may be even having a threesome right now, or whatever her sense of freedom will allow her to try.

Don't like talking too much about it since I'm trying to move forward in my life, but it's been 7 months of a rebound. They were on cloud nine for a while, and she recently told me she isn't very happy, which she wouldn't say if things were fine and great. But no 'I miss you's or signs of regret, just hot and cold behavior, or more lukewarm and cold. Being blocked and unblocked. I don't know what that means but I stopped myself from reaching out any more cause I don't want these breadcrumbs. I'd just like to hear that she cares and she misses me and nothing less, because that's how I feel about her. I don't say it because I was the one that was left. But I love her and miss her in my life, even our friendship. But going to get back to being whole and secure and not in a place of need, and just move forward. I waited, I hoped, and it wasn't the answer. She approached but didn't have any intention of reconnecting. Life must go on.

He switched his profile pic to a very snapchat filtered photo with her which is so out of characteristic for him. (He normally hates photos). In my opinion they are both rushing the relationship but I need to get him off my mind and remind myself he didn't end it properly with me.
How about a rebound after a short term relationship especially if the rebound elapses your time together?

@@adrij4961 My ex got married a few months ago. To the same guy she met a week after our breakup. But I won the no contact war (she contacted me 10 months after the breakup for whatever reason) and I found another girl at the same time.

Would she be a rebound if he is completely off social media and not really publicly showing his new girlfriend off. He is being secretive about her. He had told me he moved on and I happened to get a glimpse of them two on his whatsapp profile before he changed settings.

It would be interesting to go over how outside of personal growth the gameplan may change if you work with your ex since you do not have that traditional no contact that you normally would. Does it make it hurt or is it a benefit if they see you every day vs not seeing you and wondering and and missing you

Hi coach, I want to know you take of what my ex girlfriend has said to me, she said she doesn’t give second chances. Am I still able to get her back?
we were together for almost 8 years. During this last year we grew apart for routine reasons and job stress, I was depressed and stressed out. So I didn't take care of him as I should. I know where I did mistakes and he said he knows where he did too. So he broke up with me in the end of July, he was sad, feeling unloved and some girl in his job that already had feelings for him (he said to me he wanted to see other women and live is life as a free man etc) so he approached her for a coffee and he told me that she controlled the situation, she made him feel good, etc. Now he said to me that he is most likely falling in love with her. Also he still feels attraction for me and still cares about me, still feels jealousy about me because imagine a man touching me still bothers him and have a sense of protection towards me, but simply is not in love with me anymore and don't want to be my boyfriend or husband anymore. So is this a rebound? The girl is looks a lot like me and her personality is a lot like mine from what he told me. H e said also that maybe one day he wokes up missing me a lot and maybe then we wants to try again. But right now that's not a possibility. So again is this a rebound? can you help me figure this out, please! and what should I do? I love him and I want him back so badly.

For me its the opposite...she started seeing this guy right before she dumped me last October, and to this day they are both (my ex-gf and new boyfriend who was just a friend) hiding their relationship. Not from others but from me but I have figured them out. They look really happy together and it seems that this is not a rebound at all.
Well it wont...they are happy...I was her longest relationship (3 days short of a year), lived together for 8 months and were constantly together. I think she hides it because she feels guilty that she ultimately emotionally cheated on me...at least. She was my first everything: kiss, lost virginity etc...I am now 22 and she will be 24, she didn't even wish me a happy birthday...it's over

Against Modernity i was in a almost 4yr relationship, engaged, with future goals together. He screwed me over and i know i will achieve our goals with or without him. Im working on my career and i will have the dream home we desired but it will just be for me and my kids. Move foward and the right people will follow.

The profile picture is just crazy :D now you imagine if after 6 months after your breakup, you check your ex's fb and lo and behold! New profile picture! Oh, oops, of his wedding with the rebound girl! But thanks to Trump and to the US Supreme Court (I'm so mean hahaha), it will probably take a long while until his "wife" can enter the USA and he cannot go to her country either (refugee story) and now they have to meet in a third country (and they're are not rich). So in 6 months they just met twice: once to get married and 4 months later for around 10 days. Oh, well, tell me if karma didn't catch up with him... If anyone is kind enough to answer me, who believes this marriage is going to far??? By the way, make America great again and keep my ex's wife out of the US hahahahahahaaha, vote for Trump, folks hahahaha just kidding, please forgive me :)

Robert Jelinski yeah... maybe... but now it'll take her a while ( they are both from one of the banned countries and he went to the US as a refugee himself, and is just a green card holder, I guess she won't be granted a visa anytime soon). coach craig i was wondering (of course depending on situation) do people depressed after a breakup still have a chance to get their ex back? (i’m currently in psychotherapy right now working on myself but i still wanted to know if my chances are completely gone)

I hope it's not, because the breakup made my depression worse.... But my diagnoses also lead to the breakup, so I feel uncertain and lost, too. I think maybe if we can work on healthy coping mechanisms, it'll show.

victoria i've been feeling the same way :( I already had major depression and bpd, and it flared and caused the breakup.... And today i'm crying and feeling really really hopeless. It's so hard... all I can think of are my regrets.. All I can think is, if we work hard on ourselves, on coping healthily, maybe our exes will see how we've changed? I don't know. It's a bad day for me.

5 year, very serous relationship. We split 3 months ago. She started talking this guy a couple weeks after we split. Shes now dating this guy, even called him her boyfriend and hes met her family (she lives at her parents house since we split and she left my own house). I want to win her back so bad but she is not receptive to me and I think its because shes got something new and exciting right now... Went no contact and I figure time and space will make her come to her senses. Please tell me I'm doing the right thing here!
You’re absolutely doing the right thing. Use this time to reflect on any issues in the relationship and invest in yourself. You shouldn’t put any time or energy into someone that isn’t reciprocating it.

Thank you for the replies. I really need some reassurance right now. I made all the mistakes early on, even made the big mistake of calling her rebound once i heard the news of them being together. Didn't even talk to him and yet hes harassed me since then. She cant stay with a guy as unstable as this guy to put it brief. I'm certainly a much better option and she will see that with time I have faith. Keep your chin up everyone and realize your self worth. Much love!
imię nazwisko Thanks man. Since we broke up I've been seeing a counselor every week, started working out again, I'm taking up boxing, and I'm currently on a vacation in Vegas. Doing everything I can to heal and let go of the past but I still can't shake the desire of wanting her back. We had our whole lives planned out together and I hope she changes her mind soon. I've started working out in gym aswell and im finally seeing some progress. Also enrolled in kick-boxing xD. I dont know if it will help you, but i became meditation freak, so if you have lots of negative thoughts or too much self-talk i recommend that.

FR22 i dont believe so.. thats more of taking time to heal in order to be prepare herself for the next relationship. Thats what i did after my 12yr relationship. I stayed single for more than a year. Im doing the same thing now after my breakup with my 4yr fiance...smh. I gotta learn not to give so many chances and show less empathy too. Its been 3months and i know i can move foward from it...i just need to be patient with myself and heal

I have a girl I just started recently seeing who told me this.. She also says she doesnt like to date serious when shes going through school.. and while we were on a date the other night.. was on a dating site writing back a guy... She told me about it on the date... that she was replying to this guy.. who asked her what she was doing.. in which she said she told him she was out on a date at the moment.. and the guy basically said.. oh sorry to bother you I will let you know... and said Bye. and she then told me... I was upfront about it.. and said to me.. just like I was with you... Later I mentioned to her that I wonder if shes really afraid of someone else's feelings.. or that perhaps shes actually afraid of her own feelings..... Anyways can you guys do a video on this topic.

Well I do have a good time hanging out with her. Although, I have basically told her that I take things with her week by week.... that its her who has to ask me to hangout.. that its all on her, not the other way around.. That Im not chasing her. So when she texts I reply. But other then that I dont text her.
He told me he had been seeing her a few times before he broke up with me. And this is all a result of me losing my Mother and I was grieving myself to death over her. He wanted all the attention on him

Me and my bf broke up he broke up with me and then like a week or two he got with this new girl he posted her on Instagram which he never posted me and we were together for a year and three months and he hasn’t posted anything on Instagram in two years sketch and they are already saying I love you 😂😭😂 he waited 5 months to say he loved me to mean and make it more special which I didn’t really understand at the time but now I do and it did mean a lot more like I wanted him back but he basically choose her over me and we been through lot and I was always there for him I feel betrayed honestly he’s so back and forth I have a feeling he’s gonna come back and I’m not gonna be here for him he’s not worth my time or energy
I came out of a 6 year relationship in November 2019. I was living on my own and getting my shit together then was at a work party and some really young, attractive girl hunted me down and we hooked up. It was great. Then we started seeing each other in a really intense rollercoaster of lust and sexual connection. I just got caught up in it and it felt amazing. Then I realised I was rebounding. But I never went looking for it. Low and behold we split after 4 months as she was trying to lock me down. Now I’m processing a lot of heartache but don’t know which woman I’m grieving over what a ride this life is. Been alone for 4 months now and staying like this for a while now until I settle. Life is short man and looking back it’s funny how things turn out. Now the girl I rebounded with is rebounding with someone else cos we ghosted each other. Haha. Craig says a rebound is either when they leave the relationship and meet someone else days or weeks after or leave when they've already met the person while still with you but I thought these were two completely different scenarios, I thought if they find someone else while still in the relationship with you that was an affair! @@robert8211 She knew the guy all along, cheated. The break was just to test the waters with the new guy, "free of charge". He pumped and dumped her, came to me crying. I pumped and dumped her and now I'm with a muuuch more great girl. I laugh today thinking how much I loved her then and how much dissrespect she did to me. Never take them back! Me and this girl(whos bipolar) have been best friends for 3 years. We secretly were in love with each other but never confessed. She started dating someone else 8 months ago. I couldnt take it so i confessed. And she confessed a month later.
We were so in love( the both of us ) and this went on for 6 months. (June 2018)
Thats when she told me she was losing her love for me and started drifting away. ( broke up)
She told me the reason of the break was because i wasnt the same anymore ( the way we were when we were just friends, carefree ). She told me i had caged her and she had to leave. She asked me to be friends, i said no but eventually stayed.
She also told one of my friends that i talked about girls more than she liked.
I started begging and pleading her since a week ago. And shes really started to ignore me. I can see that it doesnt work, and only makes her dislike me more.
She has alson been talking to this guy from 2 weeks. And has found happiness in ( her words ) i doubt it can last cause he doesnt like her back and he probably wont understand her the way i did.

A little bit about her. Shes bipolar. And definitely the avoidant attachment type. She has never been this close to anyone except me.( her words ) in her life.
She had alot of faith and love in me and i broke her. That caused her to hate me. And shes tells her friends that her lifes gonna get better now and she regrets meeting me 3 years ago.

Trust me. She loved me so much that she even wanted to marry me. As stupid as that sounds at this age
