Life in Berlin

- To many people, Germany means a strong economy, high environmental standards,
and a stable democracy. All that means quality of life. But Germany is changing, and is
showing new sides of itself. A good place to observe these changes is Berlin.
Berlin. Like hardly any other metropolis in Europe, the German capital has been
experiencing a boom for years. Tourists are pouring into the city, young people from
around the world come here to live. The city's mayor once described it as being "poor
but sexy" - and he's right. Berlin really is very poor in places. And yet what makes this
city so interesting? Russian writer Wladimir Kaminer has been living here since the
1990s, and his books always centre on life in the capital city. He frequently has to travel,
and when he does, he gets homesick for Berlin after three days. For him, the city is
something akin to a social trendsetter.

Good City in German
i think the guy says total bullshit... i am sorry but the only thing he is right about, is the friendlyness of berliners... people coming from everywhere is a good thing for the culture but if you see the aspect of young native berliners searching for an apartment they can affort, they can searh a long time... south germans anre fucking the city up (sorry but this is really concerning me)
