    The girl in Munich and the doctor in Heidelberg appear to come from wealthy families in their countries,so they have a higher likelihood to succeed in Germany relative to other foreigners who are less economically fortunate in my opinion.

      Ja stimmt. True words. But im living with a wealthy indian dr and flatmate who barely speaks German after 5 years. While my best friend, an Egyptian dentist learned in one year fluent German. I helped him because he wanted to speak.
      And his egypt friends since 8 years here only speak Egyptian. It always depends on the interests the people have also

      Why do you guys only show positive stories that serve the propaganda of "there's no racism and xenophobia in Germany", which we all know is not true? If it were true, you wouldn't have to be making such videos to show the world otherwise. Germany is still extremely xenophobic, and I kind of find it mean-spirited to pretend most foreigners here are happy with the way they are treated.

      That's just bullshit, the reason for this video should be obvious (German history?!).
      To say Germany is extremely xenophobic is just ridiculous to the core since Germany is pretty much the European flagship for human rights and very anti-racism.
      France for example is far more racist and less benevolent although in direct neighborhood of Germany. (I'm not saying French people are generally racists btw.)
      The racism you find in Germany is the same that you can find all over the world in every country of the world where there are small subgroups of people who are literally to dumb to get it, the thing is: those are assholes in general, not only regarding foreigners and like I said, those groups exist in any country and in most they are in greater numbers.
      You are an asshole too btw. and while the Germans are not a race your behaviour still mirrors that of a real racist.
      People like you make me sick to my core, it bothers me that such a clouded view still exists.
      We Germans are only harsh to those who come here but don't want to integrate properly and instead form their own little subculture that feels the need to break the hand that feeds them. (I'm not talking in terms of religion but things like etiquette, work and language)
      That goes for everyone though not only for foreigners. If some German idiots feel the need to form their own mafia-esque structures and disregard others etc. or just plain feed of from others without ever trying to better their situation our patience has its limit too.
      That's part of our culture though, being honest and hard working is something hold very high in our society. We don't like wannabe elitistic groups with their own broken view of reality that feel the need to put themselves on a pedestal or those who think they can live of others just because our country gives those a chance that fall into a pit and supports them.
      Sometimes the view on that is blown out of proportion so you will find people who are far to generalizing and accuse others who actually DO TRY to adopt or have other reasons that they are having problems like their own age (it's pretty hard for older people to adopt to a complete foreign society and language even if they honestly want to try and that's absolutely understandable, as long as they encourage their children to try further we are fine with that) or backgrounds that make it hard for those people to cope with a culture that they feel has suppressed them at a point in their lives. (Like Jews surviving that survived the WW and came back after a while though those were more common 10-20 years ago, nowadays those groups are not that common for obvious reasons)
      That's the only kind of "racism" that exists here and it's not even aimed at any ethnic group but just those who have the traits written above.

      Oh look, a WHITE German speaking about racism from his white privilege high horse. Please don't lecture me about discrimination and how Germany is not xenophobic when you're white and have never experienced discrimination first hand. Of course, you're going to be blind to it because all you know is textbook racism, and Germany is not racist on PAPER. Reality is entirely different though.
      Integration is a 2-way street. Germans make it incredibly difficult for anyone to integrate, because they're not willing to make compromises. Tell me how foreigners are supposed to integrate when your own government and locals shove them into Hauptschule, ghettos, and areas where only foreigners exists. The UK's society is far more intergrated than here even though their immigration wave is more recent, why? Because they gave foreigners equal chances starting at school, where even Kindergarten is mixed and whites aren't given elite status like in Germany. Look at the percentage of whites and non-whites in Gymnasium versus Hauptschule. Get my point? Have you tried applying for a job as a foreigner? Do you realise there are jobs that ask for "accent-free" German when there's no need for it?
      So can you answer me this: Why do A LOT of foreigners that come here including white Americans, English, etc... complain about German being close-minded and racist? All foreginers must be crazy or are smoking something, right? It's because Germans are xenophobic you dumb ass. Go live in the shoes of a foreigner in Germany before you open your mouth and respond with textbook "facts".
      Also read this while you're at it and try to give me an explanation other than that Germany is backwards and xenophobic, and all you liberal Germans are just in denial: www.spiegel.de/unispiegel/jobundberuf/bewerber-diskriminierung-tobias-wirft-serkan-aus-dem-rennen-a-676649.html

      To be honest, I won't even bother replying to all your arguments because you just dodged my points and because of this:
      "as differences in culture as long as they don't overrule OUR law?
      Of course?!"
      This is exactly why Germany is a shit hole. Because you believe it's YOU versus THEM. There's no such thing as accepting people with limits especially when you need them in your country. You either take them or don't. My way or the highway is what makes you and other Germans xenophobic. And the immigrants who are here are already fucking GERMAN. They have the right to change society's way just as you do. Why cannot you white Germans see that? That's why you're XENOPHOBIC!! GET IT NOW?
      I really doubt your Gymnasium had 10% minorities, but even then that's ridiculously low. And ghettos were created by the German government because that's where they shoved the wave of Arab and Turkish immigrants, all in specific concentrated areas. The generations after that do have a choice to leave, and do choose to live there because it's cheaper but the ghettos have already been established just as in US ghettos and it's an avalanche snowball effect.
      "That would prove NOTHING! Guess why!
      There are a shitload of migrants with low education coming to Germany in hope of a better life."
      Umm are you seriously that stupid or is your denial about your xenophobic people blinding you? We are talking about 2nd generation non-white Germans here. It's impossible that the majority of them would somehow be magically stupider than their white counterparts. Unless you're suggesting that non-whites are inferior? Lol. I know that your parents' educational background plays a role in what your level is expected to be, but that cannot simply apply to the MAJORITY of people. How come immigrant kids excel in Britain and the US, and their hospitals, for example are packed with Pakistani, Indian, Arab, etc.. doctors. You don't see that here. Ask any 'brown' doctor why they can't climb the ladder in a German hospital. White Germans don't like to see non-whites do better than them; it's the FUCKING truth. You maybe different, but the majority of your people aren't. The truth is, white German teachers shove immigrants into Hauptschule because Germans hate to see foreigners do good. You can deny it all you want but we both know it's true.
      And I do know the truth about Germany, as I live here. I see the way people look at me, judge me into their own tiny stereotypes. The issue here is not race like I said. Only a minority of Germans are racist. Most Germans are just xenophobic and think German culture and mentality is superior. Meaning they will reject anyone who doesn't fall in line to their narrow view of the world and cannot accept any other mentality. It's like you said "OUR laws OUR rules". Whites only.
      I come from a country where racism and xenophobia is much worse than in Germany. I'm not one of those people who thinks his country is better, but at least I have the balls to put the blame on my people instead of denying it like you people do. Anyway German culture is about to change whether you guys like it or not. The change has already begun anyway as new generations of Germans are becoming more accepting of other cultures. I'm just unlucky I have to live in this day and age in THIS Germany.

    I am studying at Clausthal University of Technology and we have about 4300 students. About 30% of which are international students. Mainly from China (around half of all international students), Iran and Cameroon. As a german I consider myself very lucky of getting the chance to meet so many students with various cultural backgrounds. I can't emphasize enough how beneficial the presence of the international students is for german universities and german students alike.

      Bullcrap if Germany was a world power and had 400 million first language speakers spread out all over the globe and if German was the global lingua franca instead and had the biggest entertainment and music industries and the biggest economy then most people would learn German instead. Few people learn German or are exposed to it. All languages have their easy points and difficult points. Considering over a billion people claim to speak English fluently as a second language I've never met anybody close to a native speaker yet so it can't be that easy even with a life time of English at school, at work, at home with film and tv, music, the internet, etc.

    I'm here in Germany doing my master degree for just more than one year now. Things are quite ok and the most difficult part of living here is the language barrier. I am trying hard but still find it really difficult. This leads me to believe sometimes I still can't integrate myself with the people here. Or landing on a job even after having previous work experiences.
    I would suggest to make episodes from viewpoints of International Students living in small cities. Not really from universities like RWTH or TU Munich. Of course life in bigger cities like Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin is more costly and challenging. But I think it is easier in sense compared to small cities where speaking no german can really leads to a lot of difficulties

    My Question is this: Why cant other people go to muslim countries, become citizens and live a normal life like how these guys had, without religious prejudice on non-muslims? The only countries in the world that ban immigration base on religious belief of the people are muslims countries- there are more than a dozen of them now, including Maldives and Brunei (recently) . Countries like Saudi bans non-muslims form becoming citizens. If you convert to another faith, you citizenship will be withdrawn.

    • @improver1849
      @improver1849 8 лет назад +3

      Because Islam is a global political state, a nation, as well as claiming religious status. If you withdraw your allegiance to it, you are renouncing citizenship in Islamic countries, as you would if you withdraw allegiance to any country. It's only logical if you understand it to be the meta state /meta nation that it is.
      The really sour part is that you can killed for withdrawing support, and becoming an "apostate". That bit is far too much like the mafia. Especially given competing regimes in 2016, which have become quite civilized.

    For a lot of germans it´s interesting watching Videos/Clips about Germany; how foreigners live here and so on. - For me as a german it´s very interesting to view different experiences and learn about opinions. And to see what others like or dislike about Germany. If someone says "Hey, german bread ist great" i´m happy, if someone (for exsample) says "here´s ignorance or bad meaning about People (if black or yellow or green; or relígions...)" i think theres no need for this and let us talk about.

    Sometimes it irritates me that foreign students can study in Germany for free (no extra fees charged). If I (as a German) wanted to study abroad though, I would have to pay high tuition fees just for being a foreigner. One out of these two things is not fair.

    • @mindyourbusinessxoxo

      Don't feel too bad. American citizens have to pay out of the ass to attend our own schools, at least you can go to yours for free.

    • @maxxg327
      @maxxg327 6 лет назад +7

      I am German and I would like to clarify something ... school in Germany is not free. We pay high taxes which funds this "free" education. So after all, working Germans/society ARE paying for schooling.
      It is very unfair that foreigners can come here and study for free what we as society pay taxes for. People frim all over Europe come here to get medical care. They say it is for free. Yes for THEM it is because the medical care is not paid by them..it is paid by us Germans who pay high taxes. I for example pay 43% taxes each month from my paycheck (mandatory) so that i (and obviously people from all over the world ) can use all services for so called "FREE".
      But it seems like it is the new trend..people from all over the world are coming over here to feed off our social system. I see a dark future for us if politicians keep turning a blind eye to all this. We love tourists, foreigners etc. We are very welcoming and liberal but it is being USED and Germans are getting more and more frustrated.
      I love my country but I don't like what it's becoming.

    • @Maren3108
      @Maren3108 6 лет назад

      I agree. It should be the same for everyone, if you are German or from another country, it should always be fair! Same rules for everyone. They should get help for learning the language and for cultural issues and integration. And as long as they behave and show respect everything is okay. A countries own citizens and cities should always be first priority to support.

    • @morbvsclz
      @morbvsclz 6 лет назад

      Well it is of course very very hard to measure, but there are some things to consider:
      - Germany has a massive shortage of high skilled workers in numerous industries and the foreign students can at least help to fill that gap -> But given the language barrier there is a big disadvantage for Germany in the global competition for talent compared to english speaking countries. The Universities being free at least helps somewhat bridging that competitive disadvantage
      - Students that return homde after getting their degree in Germany are likely to keep some connection to the country where they lived for at least a couple of years. And them having the studied abroad increases their chances of gaining positions of influence. Having influential people all over the world, that have a positive opinion and possible personal connections to Germany is yet again a competitive advantage for Germany, particulary given the importance of exports for the German economy
      - In an increasingly globalized world with business interactions between pretty much everyone and everywhere, it is an absolutely crucial skill for future leaders to have experiences in interacting with people from different cultural backgrouds; And there interactions you cannot teach in classes but you learn them by actually interacting with foreign students. So the presence of foreign students gives the German students (that are willing to interact with the foreign students) the change to gather important soft skills for todays global labor market, quite apart from the fact that contact with other cultures really helps yourself grow as a person.

    Professor Khosrow Mottaghy is actually an Iranian :)
    Giving advice to a young saudi student .That's beautiful.
    Lucky arabs , they have the financial support of their governments.
    Iranians must always suffer from an anti-Iranian islamic regime who occupied their country and cares nothing about Iranians.
    Hundreds of thousands of Arab students study abroad in different countries by the full support of their rich and caring governments while you see roughly 5000 iranian students (atmost)...
    Without any kind of financial support. Iranian students just have their own God given talents as the only supporting factor.

    First hand personal experience
    Touristic purposes: Nice nature, mostly green. Forests and lakes are pretty much all you'll see, which is nice but gets boring.
    Depending on where you visit you can see some historical sites just like for the rest of Europe.
    Food is a super subjective topic, but if you like meat and potato is the only thing that comes to your mind when it comes to vegetables, then you'll be happy. A little exaggeration and a little truth, you know.
    There are good people and there are assholes just like in any other country. What stands out in Germany is the relatively better work ethics and the lack of sense of humor (in return?).
    Living in Germany(as a foreigner): Unless you've experienced some sort of trauma where you live , you won't be any happier in Germany.
    If it's your job sending you there, well that is a pro because your work environment will allow you to socialize enough with your international co-workers to enjoy the limited/preset! time you'll spend there.
    And especially if you're from a country with a nice climate and got used to the sunshine, bring some antidepressants and a bottle of Vitamin D3. Just kidding. About the antidepressants..D3 is good though.
