Ever since I started using them ALL in tandem, I’ve had such a wonderful time watching the scriptures open up and become sooooo much easier to comprehend myself without external voices to explain. I still seek out those who I trust to confirm or refute whatever I believe I’ve learned so I’m not just going based on my own (mis)understanding. But it’s been through attempting to confirm or refute it that I’ve found the evidence of the fruits of the effort. It’s such a wonderful feeling. ✝️🙏🏻❤️

According to the book of Matthew 7 1:5 from what i understand, judge ourselves first and then judge your brothers. This is good Corey. My only disappointment is that you seem to dismiss previous scholarship. There are many wise that came before us and provide invaluable insight. Dismissing these out of hand seems foolish and proud. Not all have the time to dedicate to the study of the Bible to fully develop a strong theological framework The works of early Church fathers provide an invaluable look into the past and I think we discard their work at our loss.
I don't want to read the Bible like a scholar. I want to read it like a child reading letters of love from his father. I want to know God, not the Bible, though I have to go through the Bible to know God. Knowing God and Jesus Christ is eternal life; knowing the Bible for itself is scholasticism. Knowing God saves; knowing the Bible for itself does not.
