The Overnight was the first Fear Street book I owned and read when I was a teenager. I collected them all through The New Boy and then stopped and eventually got rid of them all (sacrilege!). Now I’m trying to collect them again and read Overnight again 2 years ago. It still holds a special place in my heart. I was devastated when the front cover got ripped shortly thereafter. lol hopefully I’ll find another copy soon.
Oh my goooooooooosh! Haha, I wasn't expecting my channel and I to have a special little appearance in here 😆🤩 Thank you, Cameron. Your RUclips-watching set up is nice BTW!!! I can tell this video took a ton of time and effort. The editing is superb, just top notch. I don't know why I always look at things through an editing lens before anything else. But, yeah, the editing jumped out at me right away. Tons of footage to organize. Lots of great location shots. Awesome stuff. And I loved how you filmed the intro from your desk. That was a nice little change of scenery! That walk/garage story was creepy!!! I'd be freaked out to go near there! I really loved this vlog and not because I was in it, haha. Wonderful job and so fun. So many good beverages featured too! I'm extra eager for my cup of coffee now. I had some tea last night! I always enjoy seeing your mugs and teas and coffees. The 4th view- yay!. Fear Street and Goosebumps are great horror classics. 🥰👻📚❤ I love the rainbow reaction haha. N The Overnight sounds really good. The story sounded SO freaky Cam- omg like a real life scare experience!!. The T-shirts look awesome!.

Actually, yes! The flat man will absolutely be making an appearance in Autumncrow High. That experience definitely… inspired me. 😂 Thank you, Mers! Your editing is the bomb, so you would know. I hope you’re feeling better!
Your neighborhood looks so nice. I live in Vancouver Canada and the houses are pretty close together. Looks like you have some beautiful yards and some nice older homes in your area. I am so excited for the show . . This is the first I have heard about it! Love the nostalgia!
Thank you! To find out if a book is a first edition, turn into the copyright page and look for a number line. If the number line is from 1 to 10, it is a first printing. :)
Can’t tell you how excited I was when this popped up on my subscription list. Excellent Vlog as always. I have to say. I know this channel is for Creeps only 😉 That rainbow above you head made you look so angelic. 😊
I used to have all the original Fear Street paperbacks. I pounced on every one as they were published. And I gave them all away. I miss them. I really miss the Fear Street map that came out years ago. It was so friggin cool and I gave it away with all the books because I thought the reader to whom I was giving the books would love having the map of the places she was reading about. Fear Street is so much fun.
Great vlog. I read the first four books in the fear street books, thanks to the four book bind up that was available on Amazon. But then they jump to number 12, I think. Over all I only have about 30 or so Fear Street book, but many of them are the four-book-bind-ups. And I also have a couple of the super chillers as well. But I'm loving them so far. Can't wait to continue to collect them and read them as a go.
Like your reading vlog consepts. I've always loved to read but Goosebumps and Fear Street was my youth. It changed my view of reading. Made it more fun. Didn't get a lot of Fear Street books in Norway. I remember I went to the book shop as a teen wanting to buy more Fear Street but there was a sign that told me there were no more coming. I guess because of slow sale in Norway. It almost made me angry. =)
So glad I kept all my Fear Street books from back in the day. I am going to read some again to help get in the mood for the Neflix movie. I never knew there was a Fear Street map, I will have to check that out as well.
Oh how I wish I would have them all to binge them too 😳 This was such an amazing vlog. Imagine someone flirting with Jason Vorhees 😂 that is how I imagined the beginning of The Overnight. Slightly awkward but cute. Cameron serving creepy storytelling on the way bak home at night is all we needed. Those shirts are AMAZING!!! Also as a crazy cat lady I feel compelled to get The Sleepwaker asap. We love a good flat joke. Hi Bob!!!
“Ooooh, hi Jason. You’re so…. Hunky? I guess? And, um, you’re machete makes you look so…. Intense?” That’s what I imagine flirting with Jason would be like 😂
I always go into what I call a "post-Halloween depression". I'm not reveling in your sadness but it is comforting to know that I'm not alone in those feelings. 😊😊 I'll try a midnight walk this year! Thank you for being open about your feelings, man!🎃🤘
Eh, why not say what I think of the ones I've read The Overnight: I read it a bit back and I liked it well enough. I enjoyed the group dynamic, and Suki having her biggest role. I was disappointed that it didn't go in the direction these usually would, and the killer was just some person. Also felt the getting over a break up thing needed a more concrete resolution. So a lower Good one but still good. Missing: I'd need to re-read Surprise Party but I think this is my favorite up to this point. Very unique setup, solid enough characters, and a wild reveal of what is going on. The Wrong Number: Haven't re-read it with my modern mindset yet, it seems to be split between the fans loving it and those more critically minding finding to be fun but not a big standout. The sequel was actually the first one I read back in the day lol The Sleepwalker: I've read it more than once and reviewed it way back in like 2013...and I didn't like it, and in my mind it's always been the worst/weakest one. I haven't read/skimmed it since and from other reviews/recaps I've seen, I wonder if it deserves another chance. I just recall it being mostly dull, nothing really happens, and even the premise was not very exciting/interesting. We'll see how it holds up but something has to be "The worst one" and in my mind I like this being it lol Haunted: I read this back in the day but I haven't re-read it. I recall being one of the more interesting ones, and seeing it being the one after Sleepwalker highlights it being a step up at least. It seems to be a mild favorite minus some problematic elements, I hear. Also, I know there's a Weird Al reference, 10/10 Halloween Party: One of my favorites so far, so much I like in this one. Solid flow, solid scares, and easily the best protagonists in the series. I'll say more about Stepsister when we get there, but it's another better one for me, even the sequel was good too.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It’s interesting to see how your thoughts differ from mine. I think it all comes down to taste, like how I prefer atmosphere first and foremost. I think that’s why I liked the sleepwalker so much, because it had that spooky atmosphere. Also, yes about the main character in Halloween party! I can’t believe I forgot to mention how great the two lead characters are and their relationship. I loved that aspect when I first read it and I liked it even more this time around. Great to see a deaf character who is so well-portrayed. She’s just awesome!
@@LibraryMacabre I feel like maybe I just didn't appreciate it back in 2013, I wanna re-read it. In my old review, I got angry for no real reason lol. my memories it just wasn't much of a story. I think for these I prefer thrills/interesting stories. The New Girl had decent atmosphere for example but was weak in the story, mostly due to the sloppy ending, so it can only get you so far in the end. Although that one was a bit better when I reviewed it recently vs when I first read it a bit back.
where did u get that shirt? Im on a fear street kick too but I am having the hardest time getting my hands on physical copies in Canada - any tips Cameron? Love ur videos!
I know this was a year ago, but I love Fear Street. How far have you gotten since this video? The Step Sister is one of my favorites! I really want to read The Sleepwalker but the cheapest I can find is $17.
This is super fun man I haven't read sleepwalker or the wrong number so I'm excited to start those soon especially sleepwalker because it's a summer read lol missing is my favorite so far I remember it being pretty wild and SPOILER ALERT! I honestly have no idea how you guessed it had something to do with a cult lol
I was shocked when I found out I was right 😂 I thought I was just making a shot in the dark with that prediction, but the monkey skull was giving me culty vibes haha
I remember really liking The Overnight. Hammock reading is the best part of nice weather! Haven't read any of the others here but I've always thought some were much better than other books! I just paused the video to order The Wrong Number. I love that Fear Street shirt! Regarding Haunted line--R.L. Stine mentioning sex is always really weird to me and I need him to stop XD (just like I said when I read Red Rain, lol).Wait, was "Bob" a Dresden File reference or did Jim Butcher steal that from horror? Really enjoying these and now I wish I'd thought to read more Fear Street before the movie but I do have a couple to read next month so hopefully that will suffice. I've always wanted to do a summer of Fear Street but shiny new book syndrome is a problem.
I’m with you on the sex references 😂 I mean, I get it, people have sex. And references don’t usually bother me, but when it comes to Stine… big nope there. 🤣 Thank you!! I’m glad you enjoyed the vlog 😁

I am rereading these!!! As I'm going through my fear street journey! Can you do more reading vlogs of you reading , ? Like point horror books !!! Love them! So cozy and I love eery weather reading as well! Ugh id love those shirts!

@@LibraryMacabre yessss definitely do point and Christopher Pike separate I'm reading those too !!! B cool to hear your opinions!! That would be so fun! Especially fear street since I'm going down the line!
Hey Creep, I really love your content/channel. I am excited for the movies as well, perhaps I shouldn't admit it due to my age, but I am.
I love your vlogs!! And I totally need a fear street t shirt now lol
i loovee your fear street videos!! thank you for putting in so much efford in creating beautiful videos⭐️ i‘m 19 already and i‘m still a big fan of the fear street books and have read all except for about 30 of the ~100 books :) have a nice day!🌟
Thank you so much for watching! These are some of my favorite videos that I’ve made. I’m glad you’re enjoying them, and to see another Fear Street fan! 😁
@@LibraryMacabre i really enjoy watching videos about the fear street books with opinions on them coming from people which enjoy the fear street books too. i also find it a bit difficult to find people that have read fear street books in everyday life.. i only know 2 persons among the people i often talk to that have read the fear street books in their childhood.. but i‘m living in switzerland so maybe these books also were a bit less popular here than in the US?.. what‘s your favorite book of all the fear streets?
I’ve been meaning to pick up some Fear Street as I loved them as a kid
Where you live is so pretty!! Thanks for another great video Cameron ☺️ really appreciate all your hard work
I’m doing the same thing, hopefully I can finish the series before the movies in July. I’m currently reading the overnight.
Have fun! I know I won’t be able to finish the series, but I’ll read as much as I can. :)
@@LibraryMacabre thank you! You too
The 4th view- yay!. Fear Street and Goosebumps are great horror classics. 🥰👻📚❤ I love the rainbow reaction haha. N The Overnight sounds really good. The story sounded SO freaky Cam- omg like a real life scare experience!!. The T-shirts look awesome!.
I’m loving these Fear Street vlogs! It’s so fun to tag along while you make your way through the series. I’m slowly but surely making my way through the series as well. I haven’t had much time to read lately but I’m hoping to get a couple more books read before the Netflix films come out. I can’t wait for more Fear Street vlogs! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your videos! They always turn out so amazing! 😊❤️🙌
I’m glad you’re reading them too, Valerie! I’m almost done with The Stepsister now and I’m really enjoying it. And now I’m getting close to the books I’m most excited for 😁 Happy reading!
I still read this books too and new ones
"i have a creepy story to tell you" - oh hello, yes yes, do tell!! What a cool story, will you bring in the flat man to autumn crow high??? 🤔 The shirts are awesome! I love the cemetery shots and the reading, that was so moody and atmospheric 💜 May I say, sir, your editing just keeps getting better and better! Tons of work and it shows! 💜
Actually, yes! The flat man will absolutely be making an appearance in Autumncrow High. That experience definitely… inspired me. 😂 Thank you, Mers! Your editing is the bomb, so you would know. I hope you’re feeling better!
@@LibraryMacabre heheheheh YES!! (and thank you!)
I also want to be a mansion with a cemetery 👻 nice vlog!
I love these fear street videos!
Sometimes your videos make my day! Keep up the excellent work.
Love this video! Great work :)
Love watching these videos man!
I’m glad you’re enjoying them! 😁
Thank you for the upload. Really good video 🥂
Thank you! 👻
Great vlog! That story you told sent shivers up my spine! That is seriously creepy! I think you should write a story about it if you haven't already.
I definitely plan to! 👻😱
@@LibraryMacabre i would love to read that
I really love this style of video. I'm working my way through the Fear Street series too, but I'm a lot further behind!
Thank you, Lou! Which one are you on? I’m on Ski Weekend right now and I’m surprised by how eerie it is.
@@LibraryMacabre When I say I'm a bit behind, I'm a LOT behind! lol! I'm up to number 3.
Excellent video. Looking forward to more vlogs like this.
So many more to come! 😁 thank you!
Your neighborhood looks so nice. I live in Vancouver Canada and the houses are pretty close together. Looks like you have some beautiful yards and some nice older homes in your area.
I am so excited for the show . . This is the first I have heard about it!
Love the nostalgia!
Also curious... How do you know if an addition is a first addition?
Thank you! To find out if a book is a first edition, turn into the copyright page and look for a number line. If the number line is from 1 to 10, it is a first printing. :)
💜🎵💜Great as ever!
Can’t tell you how excited I was when this popped up on my subscription list. Excellent Vlog as always.
I have to say. I know this channel is for Creeps only 😉 That rainbow above you head made you look so angelic. 😊
Aww thank you!! ☺️ I’m glad you liked the vlog! 😁
I’m jealous. I can never lay on a hammock properly. It twists and cocoons me into a Mexican tamale every time. Great video! 🤘🏻🎃
That sounds painful 😂
I used to have all the original Fear Street paperbacks. I pounced on every one as they were published. And I gave them all away. I miss them. I really miss the Fear Street map that came out years ago. It was so friggin cool and I gave it away with all the books because I thought the reader to whom I was giving the books would love having the map of the places she was reading about. Fear Street is so much fun.
Aww, I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you can find them all again one day :)
Pauses video to say hi to Bob.. hi Bob 😂😂. Also I may have to start reading fear street
😂🤣🤣
Good luck with your collecting! Fortunately you don’t really have to read them in order, but it’s definitely more fun :)
just noticed the name plate on your desk hahaha, very nice
😂🤣
10/10 vibes 💀🖤👻
I love these vlogs
Like your reading vlog consepts. I've always loved to read but Goosebumps and Fear Street was my youth. It changed my view of reading. Made it more fun. Didn't get a lot of Fear Street books in Norway. I remember I went to the book shop as a teen wanting to buy more Fear Street but there was a sign that told me there were no more coming. I guess because of slow sale in Norway. It almost made me angry. =)
Aww, I’m sorry to hear that 😢
So glad I kept all my Fear Street books from back in the day. I am going to read some again to help get in the mood for the Neflix movie. I never knew there was a Fear Street map, I will have to check that out as well.
The map is so cool! I just wish there was a higher resolution version of it online.
@@LibraryMacabre Yes, I tried to zoom in on it on my tablet, but it was kinda looking blurry.
Intense?” That’s what I imagine flirting with Jason would be like 😂
@@LibraryMacabre 😂❤this is so wrong but I love it. Hahahaha
How long is that machete? LOL
Ok bye. Let me leave while I still have some decency left
Reading the babysitter now and Can't wait to read more
Love that book!
I always go into what I call a "post-Halloween depression". I'm not reveling in your sadness but it is comforting to know that I'm not alone in those feelings. 😊😊
I'll try a midnight walk this year! Thank you for being open about your feelings, man!🎃🤘
Totally! I get it bad. I’m glad to know I’m not alone either :-)
@@LibraryMacabre Definitely! I'm grateful that we all have each other in this community! :)
The way I would have screamed and woke up the whole neighborhood if I’d seen that 😭
😂🤣🤣
I’m waiting to get all the books to read them in order ugh they are so expensive lol
I’m jealous of the hammock too, I own one but have no outdoor space to hang it and it’s not down to the swinging skeletons.
Eh, why not say what I think of the ones I've read
The Overnight: I read it a bit back and I liked it well enough.
The sequel was actually the first one I read back in the day lol
The Sleepwalker: I've read it more than once and reviewed it way back in like 2013...and I didn't like it, and in my mind it's always been the worst/weakest one. I haven't read/skimmed it since and from other reviews/recaps I've seen, I wonder if it deserves another chance. I just recall it being mostly dull, nothing really happens, and even the premise was not very exciting/interesting. We'll see how it holds up but something has to be "The worst one" and in my mind I like this being it lol
Haunted: I read this back in the day but I haven't re-read it. I recall being one of the more interesting ones, and seeing it being the one after Sleepwalker highlights it being a step up at least. It seems to be a mild favorite minus some problematic elements, I hear. Also, I know there's a Weird Al reference, 10/10
Halloween Party: One of my favorites so far, so much I like in this one.
I love these videos. You're so charming.
Awww, thank you 😊
I would be expecting a fear street ranking video after you read them all
So many of these sound great! I'd really love to read some Fear Street books, but they seem difficult to get hold of 😢
This is super fun man I haven't read sleepwalker or the wrong number so I'm excited to start those soon especially sleepwalker because it's a summer read lol missing is my favorite so far I remember it being pretty wild and SPOILER ALERT!
@@LibraryMacabre It's like Stine is my grandpa or something 😂 Just nooo.
We love your channel so much!! We are doing a new series on our channel called ‘The Books That Made Us…” and July we’re doing Fear Street! I’m so glad you love those books too! Great work and your library is enviable!!
Aww, thank you!! I’ll definitely be checking out your channel. I love to have more Fear Street content! 😃
@@LibraryMacabre omg, thank you so much!! Can’t wait to share and discuss with you! If you ever wanted to collab or discuss together we’d love that!!
Loving this video series you’re doing. It’s great to see which ones are worth reading because there are so many Fear Street books .I hope you get through all 100+ books. I never read Fear Street as a kid but I’ve been reading them here and there over the last year. What’s the movie you showed a clip from with the line “I just wanna party”?
Good luck on your binge-read! That clip is from The Return of the Living Dead. 🧟♂️
Not going to lie
There’s real high expectations for the upcoming series 🧭
This was the first I have heard of it... I can not wait!
Hi I am new to this channel and new to horror as well as I was a fantasy kid raised on Harry Potter and the like. It would awesome if you could make video with a deep dive into Fear Street lore. I have watched the Goosebumps and Are you afraid of the dark series as a 90's kid but I never read any of the horror books. I have started with Stephen King and now want to read the R L Stine books as well. Thanks for the great content.
That’s a great idea! I’ll have to do that once I’m deeper into the series. Thank you for checking out my channel, and I hope you stick around! 😁
@@LibraryMacabre Oh I am definitely sticking around for amazing horror recommendations will be holding you personally responsible for filling up my new book cabinets and TBR pile. Cheers.
Really love your channel and vlogs. I'm not overly familar with the Fear Street series but the new movies look brilliant, do you know what books the 3 films are adapted from? Cheers and spooky reading friend.
Thank you! I don’t know what the first movie is based off of, but I know the second movie is inspired by Lights Out and the third movie is based off the Fear Street Sagas. :-)
@@LibraryMacabre That's great thanks Cameron for taking time to reply. I'm soo excited for the movies! I really will have to start collecting the books now.
Great video
Thank you for watching! I’m happy to see these older videos getting some love. :)
20:46 - that's the law of attraction 🙏
Are you using a Kindle or Kobo to read ebooks or a phone/tablet?
My phone, I still have to get a kindle.
@@LibraryMacabre Yeah, e-ink will be much better for your eyes.
Wow I had that Nickelodeon clock behind him
Get a kindle paperwhite if you don’t have one! Better on the eyes!
