Trial and error but it turned out ok.

Freeze the cake for like an hour between the frosting step and the ganache step! Especially if you are a slow decorator like me.

This is a moist chocolate cake recipe, the cake will not dry

Hi! How did you remove the ice cream cake from the spring form pan without a problem? I noticed there was no plastic insert.

Yes! It's next to freeze so the ice cream does not melt or fall apart

i used a full 12oz bag of chocolate chips and i believe i used just a little bit over 3/4 cups of heavy whipping cream to make my ganache
@@HMONGbaker thank you. I have left it in the freezer overnight and was going to finish off either tonight or tomorrow morning but now unsure how long it should be left out before eating because of the sponge layer......don't want it to be frozen 😫 but also don't want the ice-cream to melt!!

@@kitikatuu wrong one. She didn’t use a cake pan to make the ice cream cake. She used a 8 inch cake pan to bake just the cake. She used like a springtime pan or something to actually assemble the ice cream cake

yes! you want to prep the ice cream and in the pan, so that it doesn't melt on you when decorating. it's best to have the ice cream cake done the day before, then frost/ decorate your cake the day of the party

I’ve made an ice cream cake before and I froze it overnight and when we ate it the frozen cake was soooooooooo gross because it was frozen. Literally threw it away. Why was that?? Was it because frozen cake is gross?
